What do you like best?
Malwarebytes is a powerful free program that not only removes malware, but goes an extra step and also blocks websites that seem particularly sketchy or dangerous, additionally, if you have a nasty bug in your system that can terminate processes or programs, Malwarebytes remains relatively immune to those as well, capable of preventing malware from ending the Malwarebytes program.
Did I mention it's free? In addition to the free version, there is a paid version that runs at about $24.95 USD per year, which is a fee that is ultimately up to you to decide if you want to pay the subscription fee, but it is worth noting that there is a paid version, of course.
There is a multitude of other anti-malware products that Malwarebytes offers, such as mobile anti-malware, anti-malware for Mac, anti-exploit for those vulnerable programs in a business, and breach remediation, which essentially covers your business endpoints from potential threats or breaches.
What do you dislike?
As is the case with many anti-malware programs, Malwarebytes tends to be hyper-reactive to items and processes running that aren't actually legitimate threats. These false-positives, while unsurprising, do tend to get annoying and cause some form of suspicion that perhaps something is indeed wrong with your computer, and after a second opinion from a different program, you find that the potential-positive was indeed a false-positive. For example, my Skype client tends to be marked as a malicious process even though after replacing Malwarebytes with a different anti-malware (temporarily), there are no signs of anything malicious after all.
Recommendations to others considering the product
It is completely up to you if you want to pay for the premium subscription fee, as little changes if you pay the $24.99 yearly subscription. The free version is just as capable as the premium version, no features are intentionally left out, it is all there. I myself paid because I appreciate what Malwarebytes does and I wanted to support their operation, as that is the best justification for paying as far as I can tell.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
When it comes to security on a personal and professional level, it is imperative to have a strong program that covers your weak spots and is capable of eliminating threats quickly and preventing future threats as well. Malwarebytes definitely covers that range, and for a free program, it makes it difficult to justify paying for services that provide similar security at a higher premium than Malwarebyte's own premium subscription fee (which is optional, of course).
