"simple to deploy, easy to setup, but a little rough around the edges."

What do you like best?

-it's easy to setup. making profiles and groups doesn't have a steep learning curve.

-deploying to devices is simple. scan a QR code and it takes care of the rest

-the ability to push apps to a catalog for users to find and download or have apps auto install

-the ability to push web shortcuts and documents to devices

-remote view has the potential to be very useful, especially like that the user has to initiate it on the device first

What do you dislike?

-there are a few features that feel unfinished, the web shortcuts you can only have 1 (at the time of this review, support has said that the ability to add more is coming)

-some features are available for one platform but not others, like WPA2 enterprise WiFi is available on iOS but not Android

-some features aren't explained well. if you enable "lost mode" on a device you cannot turn it off unless geo-tracking is enabled on all devices or a device group.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

we use it to secure our corporate data on any devices that will have corporate data, whether that is documents or even just corporate email through forcing encryption or having the ability to wipe data remotely.

"Mobile Device Manager Plus meets most of our needs."

What do you like best?

I like the ease of enrolling new devices. You simply send your user an email, they click a link and they suddenly show up in the portal. I like how easy it is to whitelist apps and allow them to be downloaded by the MDM app on the mobile device itself. They've recently added 2-factor authentication which was a big security concern. MDM support has been very helpful.

What do you dislike?

You cannot control iTunes/iCloud accounts nor can you control iOS device updates. These features are the only thing holding us back from going 100% with MDM.

Recommendations to others considering the product

You will need to host this software somewhere and allow port forwarding/open ports on your firewall to allow actual ease of setup.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

GPS Geolocation has been helpful when mobile devices have been lost. The remote wipe feature is a great alleviator of stress in the event of theft but we fortunately have not had a need for it. This software has also allowed us to keep track of who has a smart phone and monitor those using them.

"Excellent product, excellent interface"

What do you like best?

Great monitoring and tracking capability

Kiosk mode is excellent and seFriendly interface

Excellent capabilities that leading providers like RDP do not have

Android 6 solutions are especially great when it comes to NFC

Excellent human relations and support on-line and despite language difficulties

What do you dislike?

Inability to interface to Microsoft Azure

Reports interface requires improvement

When you disconnect Androy devices there are a lot of failures during the disengagement

It is sometimes necessary to erase the device completely after KISOK MODE

And they provide an excellent solution to these issues, although more improvements are needed

"Solid Product -- Good job for hard problem"

What do you like best?

Does the job with hard to solve problem -- still implementing but the more I use I understand the features and power that it brings to the table. I particularly like the remote viewing. I have technologically unsophisticated user base and the ability to address issues even while on train.

What do you dislike?

It was a little confusing at first. however, I think it is the nature of a product like this. It could possibly have a little more information on how to enroll devices.

We use Square POS for a restaurant on a moving train. We have over 36 units that we need to manage. It makes it easier to manage and trouble shoot issues in an otherwise chaotic environment with technically challenged servers.

"Cost effective and value for your money."

What do you like best?

There's lots of help available to get you started. The company is always improving the MDM to make it easier for you to manage and operate it. Manage Engine has allowed us to implement over a very short period of time with the stringent requirements set out by our Japan counterpart.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing wrong with the MDM. Only thing is that the email invites sometimes reaches the recipient around 10-15 minutes after you have submitted from the MDM.

"Overall very good, functionality and ease of use are plus points"

What do you like best?

User interface is very straight forward to navigate

Easy to set up

Help topic on user portal are very useful too

What do you dislike?

Not much so far, slight issue using the short URL on the enrolment invite email but

the option to use the full link circumvented this.

"Great Value"

What do you like best?

It has strong functionality and yet is user friendly enough us to exploit the functionality. We were impressed with the ability to work with older operating systems. In transport we could not always expect the devices to be the latest technology or platforms.

What do you dislike?

Some of the way it works is a little clunky and we had some issues with registrations but for all its functionality we were able to stick with it and overcome the teething issues.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Persevere as it is good value and has good functionality. It is within reach to use it well but takes some effort. The rewards are there though.

We were able to control devices centrally, locate them and push apps on to them without bringing in 100+ devices.

"Not bad"

What do you like best?

I really like having multiple groups for devices. We have multiple satellite locations, and we have devices from each location separated into their own groups.

What do you dislike?

I don't like the general cumbersomeness of navigating the web interface (MDM). For example, I have to change the assigned user of a device from the Enrollment tab, but I can only see the serial number of the device from the Inventory tab, and so I have to go back and forth to verify that it's the correct device.

The ability to upgrade our enterprise app on multiple devices automatically and silently.

"Great for our Business. Very innovative and easy to use."

What do you like best?

- Love the feature of locking down or wiping our devices if it every gets lost or stolen.

- We can remote into our Users' devices and help them troubleshoot issues.

- Great inventory system to help us keep track of all of the devices that were deployed.

What do you dislike?

- Webpage seems to take a while to load. (not sure if it is our computer or internet)

- On rare occasions, support takes a bit too long to response.

Great for small and large businesses. Easy to use for IT departments.

Keeping our devices HIPPA compliant if it ever gets lost or stolen by wiping the device or locking it down. The remote features ManageEngine provides has allowed us to recover our devices.

"Makes ITSM Easy as 1,2 3!"

What do you like best?

The ability to choose between a local server based license as well as a cloud based licensing model. One of the few software companies that to this day still supports perpetual licenses.

What do you dislike?

Yet to find any, although our primary use is IOS and Windows 10 so I can't honestly say we've stretched the boundaries yet.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely presents great bang for buck. I think the most important thing is that you can procure licenses and they do not activate until you choose to activate them, unlike some other competing products.

The management of hundreds of iPads in the field, for multiple client sites. We also manage Windows 10 devices in addition to iPads.

"Simple but good."

What do you like best?

How easy it is to control the MDM with ManageEngine. And how easy to understand how to enroll devices.

What do you dislike?

How you can divide the roles, If you had more detailed roles, hen it would be worth buying the 20+ dollars for an technici/technicus.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Its really easy to use compared to allot of MDM's. Even simple workers can undertand how this works with enrolling/ controlling the devices. Managing the applications on all devices is pretty easy compared to allot of other MDM's. If a worker with an enrolled device dose something what he may not do, then you as a admin get an message ( e-mail ) and the worker gets an notice that he has 5 min to change. if not, then the device gets stuck and need to be brought to the admin of MDM. Simple and easy control.

Its for an client who whants to control the office devices in an easy way, and with the way it works. The client got quickly hold on on how you have control over your devices.

"Great product. Great customer support"

What do you like best?

I really like the features, functionality, customer support and the simplicity in the product.

What do you dislike?

I'm having a problem with the App Distribution. Not all of my devices is getting the app, I push to them. Even if I Force Install them. And its completely random which devices doesn't recieve the app.

Excellent Tracking of Mobile Devices on a single platform

The ability to blacklist apps from the server

What do you dislike?

The syncing should be periodic in a way that one can easily schedule sync for 2, 3 or more time within a day

"ManageEngine Perfect Solution for those who want something that just works."

What do you like best?

Very Easy to get started and implemented

Allows full 802.1x management without apple configurator

Low Upfront Cost

What do you dislike?

SCEP and Android

SCEP setup is not as straight forward as Meraki

Enrollment Webportal would be nice like Meraki, where we don't need an invite or bulk enrollment

Perfect for Simple IOS and Android Management without the complicated interfaces of Vmware Airwatch and Microsoft Intune.

"Great tool for mobile devices"

What do you like best?

It's possible to register en follow all devices. The ability to remotely is great! Now i can add an work app without the employees having to visit me.

What do you dislike?

I'm not an IT professional. Sometimes it takes a while before I know what exactly i need to do to get what I want. It would be nice if the explanation is available in different languages.

"Great product and easy to use"

What do you like best?

I like that I can manage multiple devices from cell phones, tablets and laptops all on the same platform.

What do you dislike?

I haven't found anything I dislike about the system. Installing and enrolling the devices was harmless. I would like to see more reporting features to run reports on how much time spent on apps.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tracking and monitoring productivity of our employees. The App tracking in itself is blessing as it will tell me when a new app is downloaded.

"Great app, easy to use, easy to setup, easy to administer"

What do you like best?

I have used a few MDM solutions and this one was so easy to setup and use, I was up and running in just a few hours. The price is also very reasonable for what you get.

What do you dislike?

Struggling to find any negatives at this stage, I will continue to review and see if anything comes up.

"ManageEngine MDM"

What do you like best?

The ease of use is easily the best feature of this software, allowing you to enroll devices out of the box or by email invitation.

What do you dislike?

The layout of the management console can be a little overwhelming but this is a minor issue after a small amount of practice.

We've solved the problems of having to effectively manage 50+ mobile device handsets which are almost constantly deployed in the field, previously it was difficult to effectively upgrade or service the handsets but ManageEngine MDM has made this much easier.

"Great Product"

What do you like best?

Allows me to have access to all devices at one time. I can make changes immediately to stay up to date with the latest updates.

What do you dislike?

At little difficult to setup. You have to understand what affects what to make it work the way you want it to.

Productivity has improved because I don't have to get all the devices back into my office to make the updates. I can push out the updates via this software without allowing our users to have administrative privileges.

"ManageEngine hit it on the nose with their MDM offering"

What do you like best?

- Profile Management

- Integration with Apple VPP, Apple Configurator

- Ease of use for assigning/enrolling devices

- End-user self-enrollment is simple

- Remote assistance for end-user troubleshooting

- Blacklisting apps/categories with email notices

-Geo-Location for lost/stolen devices

- Battery level not always up-to-date

- Cellular data throttling

"Easy to test and it has the most features expected for the MDM software"

What do you like best?

Good relation between price and features.

Easy to implement and it has the main features to deploy a MDM service for any model

For android devices it has a wide diferents ways to enroll them

What do you dislike?

On cloud sometimes it takes a long time to send data to the devices.

For Android I miss some policies related with the Device general Settings

"Awesome Product"

What do you like best?

Easy to use, free for up to 25 devices unless you get some referrals then up to 75 devices.

QR Code Enrolment seems to be the easiest and best way to on board devices

What do you dislike?

No ability to create Desktop Web Shortcuts

Document deployment doesn't have the ability to use folders

"Tech support, price and video"

What do you like best?

Price range is ok.

The quick response on the web.

What do you dislike?

I would like to improve the remote support, it takes some time to give the support.

I would like to have a video that shows hoe to enroll a device and control with kiosk from start to end.

"A easy to use and powerful MDM application."

What do you like best?

MDM plus Cloud makes managing our mobile devices simple.

Attaching Android for work, Apple DEP, and Azure into the MDM was straightforward and enabled the MDM to have even greater control and feature over a BYOD style deployment.

GPS locating, remote support, and a document container are included in the pro tier, and work without issue.

What do you dislike?

SMS enrollment is still in development.

QR enrollment somestmes fails.

We are able to provide a feature rich MDM solution to our users.

Secure and protect company property and data, and half the hands-on time the IT team used to spend setting up devices.

"Very usefull for updating of iPads"

What do you like best?

It allows me to update our iPads where ever they are and allows me to control what things our employees have access to.

What do you dislike?

Difficult to manage at times. Hard to find what you need.

Easy to update all devices with a couple clicks of the mouse. This is helpful when you have iPads across a 200 mile radius.

"ME MDM"

What do you like best?

The product does allow for control, deployment of apps and settings to devices. Interface is fairly easy to understand. The staff responds quickly to questions.

What do you dislike?

Initial training and setup is not included, extra charges may apply, although there are resources available to aid in learning the process.

The MDM is allowing us to manage tablets in kiosk mode for our fleet, cell phones, remote computers, apple products and BYOD for the management staff with different levels of control.

"Lightweight MDM solution"

What do you like best?

We can distributed our enterprise applications and restrict apps/sites.

What do you dislike?

Not a user-friendly dashboard, cannot block apps for user-groups, only across entire account. Device enrollment much more complicated than other solutions.

Give it a shot, they're working on updates for the product's features & current shortcomings.

What do you like best?

Huge set of options and possibilities, reporting, GPDR compliance, support, overview, ease of use

some functionalities are restricted to samsung devices.
