What do you like best?
The deployment of this service as a highly redundant mail continuity provider was very simple. We were able to configure our Exchange side of the deployment in a matter of minutes. The deployment was very low impact to our user community and we saw positive results compared to not having a service configured almost immediately. Our users were able to self-administer their SPAM settings with very little administrative oversight for our internal support team. We saw a marked decrease in tickets related to whitelist and blacklist management as soon as we went live.
What do you dislike?
The product has become unstable over the past year. This product is supposed to provide us continuity in case we have infrastructure problems; instead, we're having outages because MXlogic can't maintain their own infrastructure. They have had outages related to blacklisting and improper DNS over just the past few months. Also, the UI for administration is outdated and doesn't receive any updates.
Recommendations to others considering the product
Intel/Mcafee is discontinuing the development of this product and will be going end of life soon. Look for another product that promises continued development and can provide service level agreements for all of their email continuity products.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
This service was deployed to provide AV/AS services to our internal mail environment. We were receiving excessive SPAM across the company and had outbreaks from mail-borne viruses on a regular basis. We had no provider outside of our organization to assist with mail continuity resulting in outages whenever there were internal issues.
