What do you like best?

MediaBank metadata can be customized to suit the needs of your organization. This way you can tag content for faster searching on terms your users will be entering. You can also organize content by persona that lead this software to do more than what you would expect of typical DAM software.

MediaBank can be integrated with other technology processes to create media versions as needed be a data source to update resource availability on websites or apps.

What do you dislike?

Depending on the organizational structure that has been set up for the company using MediaBank, using the standalone software is cumbersome while trying to navigate through. You will have several windows open as you navigate through and attempt to search areas with trial and error to use the features and customization in place.

Be sure to have internal processes in place to guide users through naming resources adequately and consistently.

Be sure to research other digital asset management software such as Widen

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Large assets need a central repository for access and management for teams. This software suits that if you have the patients to learn the workflow and put in the forethought to organize your content for efficient management.

Using MediaBank has helped us limit the asset redundancy found in teams that use alternatives. We have saved time by allowing internal users to search for existing media before attempting to re-upload resources.

Outdated and not intuitive

What do you like best?

The only nice thing is that it's an all in one place program. Everything from event upload through IO approval.

What do you dislike?

It's a mess! Many of the screens were not updated and still run on the old interface (all typing, no buttons). Many screens load slowly. Orders can only be sent one at a time and require a ridiculous amount of input for each order. The contact management is also complicated and can only view/edit/add one at a time.

not great for large account that need to send out many orders or manage many client contacts

I send out orders with it and track acceptance and billing.

What do you like best?

in comparison to DDS, the interface is more user friendly and allows for more personalizing and multi-tasking.

What do you dislike?

the media bank software is not very intuitive and there tend to be a lot of delays. the are tons of updates that happen but never seem to notice any real change so it seems like we are kicked out of the software for no real reason.

Recommendations to others considering the product

there are a lot of steps involved for most things broadcast related. if there is any way to streamlien processes, that would be beneficial.

Media Bank is used primarily for budgeting and billing for my client. we track billing for print, out of home and broadcast opportunities. what is nice is the ability to look at historical information and the opportunity to export information easily into excel or PDF format.

What do you like best?

From a system administration standpoint, the system has relatively little downtime, and system problems do seem to be addressed, since there have been several upgrades made available.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes one of the Windows services needs to be restarted for the site to perform properly, however this is infrequent. Perhaps some more user-friendly errors or messages could be shown to the user when he/she sees part of the service down.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are trying to, and have succeeded in, having high availability for media needed for our business (used in building websites).

What do you like best?

I like that there's a large storage capacity.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that it can be confusing to find things back, and the folder structures can get overwhelming/tedious to manage.

What do you like best?

A single platform that allows different departments within my agency to communicate and effectively - sometimes - implement campaigns and billing.

What do you dislike?

There are often questions or boxes that I do not understand, are unnecessary, or are confusing. In regards to billing information we are unable to see this from our end so there are a lot of hoops to jump through to find out small pieces of information that should be easy to find. The program can be restrictive when you're trying to multi-task.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Implementing and adjusting buys. Communications with the end-user/buyer seems to be efficient, sometimes even before we're able to update them.
