"Easiest way to execute and scale your "one-to-many" ABM strategy "

What do you like best?

I like that I'm able to scale my digital marketing experiments to quickly determine what's working and what's not. We were able to spin up 72 experiments, narrow it down to the most effective 11, then optimize our ad spend with their machine learning, which ultimately accelerated our inbound marketing efforts both for net new names and our target accounts. I feel more confident that we're making data-informed decisions to optimize our marketing mix and build a reliable growth machine for our ABM. I'm really excited to launch more campaigns and try to target different audience segments and influence deals at different stages of the funnel.

The onboarding experience was very smooth, and our CSM has been exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. She's very responsive, well organized and on top of her game.

What do you dislike?

I wish I could build more complex logic into the audience segmentation (like you can in Marketo). Even if you could use boolean search string, that would make the segmentation even more powerful.

The second thing I'd like is to be able to match more leads to accounts. For example, if someone converts on a Facebook lead gen form, they could be using their personal email. It's every B2B marketer's dream to automatically enrich that data and match it to the right account. I know this is a lot to ask for in any platform, and I do love that Metadata does enrich data, but in a perfect world, we would be able to match everyone.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were looking to scale our tier 3 "programmatic ABM"/"one-to-many ABM" with targeted digital demand gen programs. We've only been running Metadata.io for a short period of time and we're already great results, so I can't wait to see where things go in the next 6 months.

"Metadata can really scale your ABM strategy"

What do you like best?

I have been running social and display ads for several years now and I have always hoped for a platform like Metadata. Instead of having to switch from platforms to platforms, import and export data, and having dozens of dashboards, Metadata aggregates all the assets and data into one central location. You can easily connect your marketing automation and CRM to push leads and to optimize campaigns based on your actual ROI from Salesforce. You can use the same assets and audiences for FB and LinkedIn without having to re-create everything multiple times. If you are doing ABM, you can target your account list with ease while tracking results.

What do you dislike?

Nothing from the current platform. I have a few features on my wish list that the team from Metadata is already working on.

"Only ABM Solution committed to Conversions"

What do you like best?

metadata.io is the only available ABM solution on the market that is built around converting qualified leads. Where other ABM solutions measure performance around reach, impressions, and clicks, metadata.io builds processes to easily target key personas and attribute leads to the display and social campaigns.

What do you dislike?

The reporting capabilities and flexibility of the platform could be improved. The only missing piece is the ability to see reach, impressions, and clicks associated with target companies and campaigns. In terms of flexibility, the ability to update campaigns on the fly and manage UTM and converted lead enrichment rules could be improved.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As an ABM manager, I am tasked with generating net new leads and also prove reach to Target accounts. Without metadata.io and their targeting and enrichment capabilities, the net new leads part of my role would be a much taller task.

"Finally a way to break through the noise"

What do you like best?

Metadata.io is able to refine our ad targeting so about 97% of the time we are getting leads that match our ICP pretty closely. This means our ad spend is producing a higher percentage of marketing qualified leads than just using lookalike audiences.

What do you dislike?

So far the experience had been very positive and collaborative so nothing stands out.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Have a pretty solid idea about your objectives for the campaigns, i.e. awareness, lead-gen, etc. otherwise its hard to set expectations internally. You'll need to give it a little time to kick in since they run many experiments so don't expect the next day to see dozens of leads. Its slower burn so think 3-6 weeks before its fully optimized.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are a startup so I need to find companies that likely need our solution so I can make these ideal customers aware of us and our solution through content offers. We were able to improve our targeting so while the number of leads from these ad campaigns went down, the quality of them skyrocketed. Before using Metadata.io, none of the leads from these campaigns converted to opportunities but with Metadata.io, we've increased our opportunities from these campaigns by 200%.

"Metadata is a uniquely incredible B2B tool"

What do you like best?

Impressive targeting capabilities, value-added speedy landing page design and deployment and ad creation. Experts on the team were able to quickly translate my company's needs into what they have to do on their end to make it work. The automatic optimization of campaigns makes for a seamless pipeline as well as the ability to see and isolate the most effective parts of a campaign.

What do you dislike?

What's to dislike? We have only positive things to say.

Easy option to switch to metadata with little training needed for employees. Define upfront with the Metadata team your goals and what you consider a successful campaign. It is very useful for companies, as it allows to ensure and protect that the most relevant data and information are used properly. This way, sharing the data is easier, and the diffusion of these is done in a more fluid way.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Metadata provides B2B marketers and even slaes professionals with simple and easy to use prospect database enrichment using over 150+ data signals. CloudTask has certainly been able to glean exceptional and much greater business insights into our current prospects. It is defintely very easy to implement micro-targeting strategies for prospective new customers. CloudTask now has a streamlined and predictable channel of SQLs that allows us to properly and strategically optimize our demand generation efforts. We've not only been using metadata.io in-house, but we've extended this saas to so many of our clients who have seen growth with the targetting strategies as well.

"The perfect solution to get the best out of from the leads of the future."

What do you like best?

You can analyze the target audience and you are able to engage way easier with the final leads, therefore you are optimizing all the proces in a matter of hours. You don't need a whole team to be able to get the program running (but it's better), with only one person you can handle and cover a lot of the content you actually need to get the best out of your leads.

What do you dislike?

I didn't find anything I couldn't like about it. It's a really complete tool that the only thing it does is provide with helpful information about the types of leads you get. There is actually a free trial that allows to check on features in-depth, before actually purchasing it

Contact support as soon as you feel something could be improved or could be done better, because you will save time trying to solve on your own somethin gan expert can help you solve. Remember that it's your business and ROI the one on the line!

"Streamline and centralize your media marketing on a single platform"

What do you like best?

The ability to quickly create a target segment of users and automatically launch campaigns against those segments, all from a single platform. The process is very streamlined and convenient to manage altogether.

What do you dislike?

It would be great to have an even larger pool of targets to market against. Metadata has put together a comprehensive list of companies/users, but it can always be expanded!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

There are two main areas Metadata.io solves for us. The ability to quickly identify prospect targets and then create campaigns to target these prospects. The integration with Salesforce and segmentation creation is very powerful at building new target segment, which Metadata then matches against their pool of targets to identify prospects. Next, it is very useful to be able to directly launch our LinkedIn & Facebook campaigns against these lists, managing that completely on the platform. Metadata makes the entire end-to-end process very efficient and effective for us.

We have seen significant cost and time savings by utilizing the platform in this manner.

"Great way to work your way into an account based marketing and sales model"

What do you like best?

The platform is a relatively new feature for us, since we started working with Metadata prior to them launching their app, but it has made it significantly easier to manager our campaigns and integrations with our paid social channels and marketing automation. We've also found success with our paid social campaigns, which had been challenging for us in the past.

What do you dislike?

Because the app is new, there were some issues we had to resolve prior to launching, but once they were resolved, things have been coming along smoothly.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Onboarding might be a bit bumpy, especially with the integrations, but it's relatively smooth sailing once you get past these initial hurdles. This was our second implementation of Metadata, and having the actual app in place has been a significant improvement over the way we used to leverage their services.

The main problem we were trying to solve was getting a return on our sponsored social media campaigns, and to target specific accounts. Metadata has helped us to validate our Facebook and LinkedIn campaigns as viable lead sources that translate into revenue.

"Goes way beyond A/B testing and saves manual effort to drive conversions and revenue"

What do you like best?

Metadata is the only ABM solution I have seen that automates multivariate testing of ads and ad components, especially on social media networks but also on the major display and programmatic ad networks. Rather than optimize ads for clicks, they focus on conversions and pipeline generation. That's unique in the market. They are also one of the only if not the only ABM solution that uses artificial intelligence for actual ad campaign and multivariate experiment test execution, not just analysis.

What do you dislike?

Previously their offering was a managed service, but they recently released a self-service version of their platform which will give me and my clients more hands-on control over our campaigns.

Trust their insights into multivariate testing, and be prepared with different ad components to run experiments on.

Unlike other ABM solutions I have used or evaluated, Metadata is the only one that optimizes for conversion and pipeline. They also go way beyond simple A/B testing, which is too slow and too manual-labor intensive. The result is better conversion rates and account penetration, with less manual effort.

"Automation at its finest!"

What do you like best?

The automation and implementing the API setup was fairly easy. Before the initial setup, the sales and marketing teams are required to put their heads together and agree on the important marketing and sales activities. Once set up, the reporting and automation are simple yet powerful!

What do you dislike?

As of now, none. It is an ongoing software so it's not perfect. UI and other stuff could be improved.

It's incredibly intuitive, the support team is always there to help you. Get it, set it up and you'll see in no time that your campaigns are automatically transformed into opportunities two-fold!

What do you like best?

The on-hand consultation you receive from your Metadata rep. With that, we are able to refine our targeting, enhance our dollar spend, and hit the people we want to hit on paid social.

What do you dislike?

They are great, but it would be helpful when creating new campaigns some help from their end, even with just examples, best practices, etc. Sometimes I feel like there is confusion on my end for deliverables.

What do you like best?

Ability to serve relevant ads / offers to a highly targeted Account Based Marketing (ABM) audience. Metadata.io uses Machine Learning (ML) to deliver prospects that match their client's Ideal Customer Profile (by title, location, company name or demographics along with behavioral buying signals).

In addition, the relationship we have with the Metadata.io team is outstanding. We are using their Managed Services. They not only provide advice on campaign strategy, targeting, offers and creative, but are super responsive and deliver excellent support.

"Intelligent Profiling and Paid Social Software with Great Targeting and ICP"

What do you like best?

ICP (ideal customer profile) insights and and MarTech stack built within Metadata including Terminus, Bombora, ZoomInfo, etc. for data enrichment

What do you dislike?

Onboarding and getting setup is slightly difficult but account team works with you. Lots of system errors and manual work required for creative/copy for campaigns as well as marketing automation piece. Ad operations team confused audience and targeted wrong group with wrong messaging.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Very smart system if you work out kinks and have some patience. Managed service is a plus but not as managed as you would think. They need to provide more guidance upfront. Delays are often put on customer or social channels rather than accepting accountability.

"Data gathering Experts at Metadata"

What do you like best?

I worked with Metadata to help define specific audiences to target with paid advertising. The thing I like best about them is that they are always suggesting out-of-the-box ways of solving problems, which in our case was defining an audience that has little to no digital footprint and typically difficult to source ourselves.

Not always a quick turnaround time, but given they are a startup, I completely understand the reality of those timelines, and they were always very transparent in when to expect their product to be delivered.

The team is great to work with, highly customer focused, creative, and has built a practical tool that's easy to use.

I'd like to see a self-service/freemium service that's easy to test and try before I buy. I know Metadata will be releasing this system in the fall, and I can't wait to see it.

"Big step in ABM advertising & reporting"

What do you like best?

The targeting capabilities ensure your digital $$$ are spent promoting to only accounts that matter. And the results - CTR, impressions - back up the effectiveness of this targeting. The reporting abilities let our organization see the impact we are making on specific companies, which is at the crux of our strategy.

What do you dislike?

Account management could be more responsive and quicker to turn around new campaigns. Lots of manual and custom work goes into the engagement, causing some slow turnaround times on occasion.

Only a few thousand companies are in outback organizations target marker. Digital advertising is expensive - knowing that we are only spending money to advertise to these companies, and seeing account- based results is music to our executive’s ears. The collaboration marketing can have with sales is obvious: showing sales reps which messaging our target accounts have seen and how they’ve engaged with that messaging is hugely advantageous relative to traditional digital tactics.

"Stopped leaking wasted marketing spend"

What do you like best?

Very easy to engage the Metadata Team. They set up the landing pages, organize your assets and orchestrate the campaigns to get you going.

What do you dislike?

Metadata takes a different approach to many targeting tools I have used in the past. If you have a sophisticated demand gen thinker at the helm, this is a very powerful tool. If not, more effective targeting will not necessarily mean you will sell more product in an of itself. This is not a "dislike" per se, but a word of advice.

Before Metadata, our statistical profile of our "ideal customer" would be much flatter, using mostly higher level company and role demographics - data that was broadly available, but also susceptible to ~20% error rates even at that summary level. Now, we can develop much richer profiles and with data that tends to be cross-referenced with error rates that are the lowest I have seen in the data business. Now, I can confidently know that I the sell through numbers from top to bottom of funnel are lagging, I know to check into the profile, the messaging/positioning, the offer, etc - to make adjustments to the sales workflow and not to constantly question the data source for our targeting.

What do you like best?

Metadata has a refreshing approach to conversion focused strategy; a nice reprieve from working campaign optimization through clicks.

With a higher concentration on direct response, it is easier to leverage a media strategy to produce intense increases in ROI/ROAS from pretty much any campaign at any point in the funnel.

What do you dislike?

Not much to say here. New self service model is fantastic and the reps there are always willing to help.

What do you like best?

With metadata.io I've been able to find and have visibility of the customer profiles I want based on my CRM data, I use them to create lists of target accounts and personas. I'm also able to execute multiple campaigns in a short fraction of time. Love it!

"Good Company .. Worth Recommending "

What do you like best?

The Metadata process has allowed us to focus on more value-added activities without having to worry about manually managing budgets, optimizing ads, and creating campaigns that generate qualified leads.

It's very easy to use and scrubs your metadata off with a couple clicks. There is very little training needed so users are up and running quickly.

What do you dislike?

In a terminal server environment it doesn't seem to always work correctly. Especially if you are using Sharefile. This hasn't been resolved yet.

"Great way to run social ads"

What do you like best?

Overall MetaData is a really efficient and scalable way to run Facebook and LinkedIn ads. It's easy to build audiences and your account manager is helpful for account optimization. The ability to easily tie back pipeline is great.

What do you dislike?

The platform is pretty expensive... if you have a smaller social budget it's not really worth it. Since it's run of AI, it sometimes felt like campaigns were going a bit haywire as it optimized around the wrong attributes. The user interface is lacking.

Scaling demand gen while still following an account based strategy. Generally just making the most out of our social spend.

"Great for Targeting B2B leads across the web"

What do you like best?

The fact that you can target business leaders on different platforms across the web such as Facebook and LinkedIn

What do you dislike?

At first I thought the $5,000 platform fee was a lot but after using the platform, I realised it was worth it.

"User friendly platform"

What do you like best?

I love how useful friendly the platform is. It's easy of use will allow anyone even if have no experience able to navigate it with ease.

I can't change the male icon on the top right.

"It has been great for our online marketing campaigns. "

What do you like best?

What I like the most is their data analysis and the fact that it helps me creating buyer personas by industry, job, location, and others and that I can automatically put in place lots of marketing campaigns to A/B test in multiple channels.

Their team has been very diligent with my suggestions. No negative feedback so far.
