Metric Insights had a great sales pitch and demonstrated great push notification capability. It also had several built-in statistical methods that reduced false positives when looking for outliers in our business metrics.
What do you dislike?
We signed with them ($10k for 1 year) and received what was functionally a staff alpha; the product was barely functional, endlessly buggy, and it failed to meet our deployment standards after months of attention and tweaking. We asked to cancel our contract with them; the CEO visited us and promised a 100% money-back guarantee if we were not satisfied within a month. A month went by and the software was still buggy, so we requested a pro-rated refund. They backpedaled and offered a 25% refund to be payable in June of 2016. June 2016 came by and they stopped responding to emails. Completely unprofessional from a business and technical standpoint. I do not recommend them to anyone.
Recommendations to others considering the product
I recommend staying away from this product. We settled on another solution after our disastrous engagement with Metric Insights; that solution worked right out of the box for a similar cost.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We attempted to use them to display realtime metrics during our busy holiday period. The database connection was poor; the graphics were spotty, and the entire experience was a buggy alpha that they were testing on paying customers.
