Data Quality and Quality Data Made Simple

What do you like best?

My favorite piece of the Oceanos platform, to date, is the data health check. The Oceanos data health check has been an extremely valuable tool, that has allowed us to provide our clients with actionable intelligence around the health of their data. On top of that, Oceanos' ability to correct and append many of the data inconsistencies has been extremely valuable and reliable.

What do you dislike?

It's hard to find something that I dislike here. Oceanos truly differentiates themselves from other vendors that I've worked with, in the past, based on the level of service and care they put into their products. Tim has always been extremely accessible, whenever questions arise and has made the extra effort to ensure that each experience is a positive one.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Give the health check a try. The insights it provides are extremely valuable in understanding the makeup of your database.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Data quality and data completeness have always been a challenge, especially in today's ever digital world. Oceanos has provided us with the platform to quickly and accurately evaluate database and record health as well as the resources to mitigate problems as they arise.

What do you like best?

Oceanos has great support. I've been working with them for several years and Holly Walsh, my dedicated Project Manager is always responsive, timely and friendly. She is great to work with and will re-run our data sets multiple times in order to get it right even when we change our minds mid project! In addition, I love how Oceanos' Gap Analysis and Data Integrity report gives me an easy to understand breakdown of my database. It allows me to be more strategic in my list purchase, append and cleansing projects for the year.

What do you dislike?

No list provider can have 100% deliverable data BUT Oceanos is certainly the closest and has the best quality that I've seen. I've not had any bad experiences.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Give Oceanos as much information as possible around your target audience/personas, it makes the processes easier for them and it will eliminate a lot of the back and forth edits.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

After our company acquired a few businesses our target audience changed a bit, which led to a large gap analysis project. Oceanos was able to give us great insight into who we had in our database and who we were missing which allowed us to most efficiently plan our list purchase projects in order to fill in the gaps. Oceanos made the process simple and easy and provided great strategic insights along the way.

A Great Resource and more importantly, a Great Partner!

What do you like best?

Innovation, hard work and service. The fact that they go out of their way customize and tailor to our exact needs to deliver a great product. The use of social verification takes the data to a higher quality level. The turnaround for custom requests is great.

What do you dislike?

The quality of B2B data in general - regardless of where you get it from - is never great - but these guys do a great job trying to minimize these issues.

This is a great, hard working outfit that cares about delivering quality data. I highly recommend them.

Creating innovative B2B demand gen solutions for our clients with the help of Oceanos - their ability to map contacts to our location-based intent data has been a real lift for clients' ability to reach the right people at the right time

We brought Oceanos on board to provide us with high-quality LinkedIn-verified contacts

What do you like best?

The Oceanos representatives are very helpful and responsive, and are able to "tier" our contact results based on the quality and source of their data. This valuation score helps us to identify the highest-quality contacts for our marketing campaigns, and has yielded positive results for our firm.

What do you dislike?

It would be nice if Oceanos offered manual discovery for contacts not available on LinkedIn or in their third-party databases. However, we feel that the LinkedIn verification gives us the majority of the contacts that we need.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Consider your needs: big data vs. highly targeted data. There is still a level of inaccuracy with scraping contacts across LinkedIn, especially through an intermediary that Oceanos uses to retrieve their LinkedIn contacts.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have moved to an account-based sales model which mean we are heavily focused on a select group of accounts in our marketing efforts. As a result, the quality of the contacts linked to those target accounts is essential.

Versatile tools for database growth & integrity

What do you like best?

The Marketo-integrated cloud connector is definitely the best feature. Super fast, easy to use and implement, and makes it very simple to target key chunks of contacts for data append or cleanup.

What do you dislike?

They do fall short sometimes when it comes to projects involving non-US data, so it's been trickier for us to build out our international database using Oceanos.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you primarily need non-US database growth assistance, it may not be the best fit. I strongly recommend using them to do "universe-sizing" of your potential audience and then using that to build upon your existing database. Definitely leverage the Cloud Connector plug-in, it's a huge help and very affordable.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our biggest problem is that our audience in particular is VERY niche - both in terms of industry and title. Oceanos has been very useful in uncovering more people that fit that profile than we've been able to find on our own.

Oceanos data append

What do you like best?

Our rep was very friendly and accommodating to our requests, and provided timely responses. Overall a pleasant process. I've already recommended Oceanos and our rep to other business units in our company

What do you dislike?

Price is high, but from what we've seen, the quality of data is high and you get what you pay for.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We've used Oceanos for multiple one-off data appends with solid results. Ask for a quality guarantee -- this is a concession they were happy to provide. If we found invalid data, they were willing to give us a credit. We did QA on a sample, data looked good, and we proceeded up update our CRM accordingly.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Segmentation of our existing customer base for email campaigns -- Add-on sales, upgrades, and service-related communications. Getting the right message to the right people, more targeted messaging. We also have an automated nurture program that is dependent on Industry fields. Oceanos helped us fill in the gaps.
