"Non-technical document and portal management software "

What do you like best?

Allows collaboration and teamwork by enabling file sharing in among users in the same group

Controls the access of files and folders meaning only allowed people only are the ones who can gain access to the documents

Does not require HTML knowledge to use it

What do you dislike?

Some user interface versions of the software (such as the 10.5.2) can be challenging to use in the initial stages but once one gets familiar with it, it becomes simple to use

Recommendations to others considering the product

It fits well even to organizations that have staff with limited technical ability and knowledge since its easy to use and apply in all the departments of the organization

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The business problem solved is sharing of files and posting of the various reports and growth projectory reports into our internal website. We have derived the benefit of being updated and accurate in file sharing and enhancing their security

"OpenText Portal - A Smart Digital Solution"

What do you like best?

OpenText provides for improved access to client and internal data and documents. Access to information is now extended to mobile web based solution.

What do you dislike?

Haven't found anything that I dislike, however additional online tutorials would help in some of our more junior employees.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We evaluated many portal solutions and found OpenText to be the most cost effective.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We need to have a state-of-the-art solution to sharing key company documents. Better communication between groups has been achieved using OpenText Portal eDocs.

"one of the best tools for managing big data that exists in the market."

What do you like best?

What I like the most is that it provides indicators in large volumes of data to analyze trends and behaviors of users according to the values shown by the statistics and graphics !.

What do you dislike?

What I do not like very much is that it does not have much multilanguage material, and this seems a bit exclusive to the Hispanic-American community that may be interested in this service.

recommended for all companies that need software to measure the behavior of their customers or users.

The main benefit of this software is the control of data and analysis of metrics that can be used to make important decisions in the market.

"Great Product"

What do you like best?

I like that the OpenText Portal is easy to use and very user-friendly.Support for the product is quick and friendly. My users seem to enjoy the product and i get very little complaints about the product.

What do you dislike?

I have no dislikes about the product at this time.

"As expected"

What do you like best?

all correspondence for the ticket is in the portal and it's easy to go back and see historical tickets and refer to past solutions on your own.

What do you dislike?

cannot respond to emails that they portal generates saying there's a new note. It would be nice to respond to the email and have it added to the ticket. Only way to correspond is inside the portal not to emails generated.

What do you like best?

Portal makes it easy to manage a site, its content, orderly and easy way, once created, change its content is not necessary to have many computer skills to make those changes.

What do you dislike?

Up from one version to another becomes very complicated

"Vignette Portal"

What do you like best?

1. This is the best product I have ever worked and possibly best among the suite of product Vignette offers,

2. Easy to write your portlet using plain JSP coding.

3. Import/export of components is best thing which I havent seen in any other portal product.

2. Themes/Styles are very useful once defined can be applied to many sites.

3. Implementing SSO is quite easy, just requires couple of configuration and realm settings.

What do you dislike?

1. VCM portlet not always works brilliant.

2. Synchronization of VCM assets into portal interface is not straight forward
