"Digital Competitive Go-To "

What do you like best?

Very user friendly tool for competitive searching.

Pathmatics has up-to-date information covering a multitude of sub-brands under portfolio names.

Your information will be easily transferred in any way you want to present it! I love how it provides all necessary downloadables for use- exporting function as Excel, PowerPoint, Jpg and Mp4 formats.

And pleasing to the eye- Interface has a good use of white space, colors, very organized into categories.

What do you dislike?

Unfortunately Pathmatics data is not comparable to our competitive data software for other media (National TV, Print, OOH, Radio, ect)

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Clients love to see examples of competitive data. They want to know more than just what creative is running, but also how many impressions they deliver, CTRs, view time, most popular websites and type pf buys, to guide their own direction for digital ads. Pathmatics is the best solution for giving them the most actionable information.

"Much more accurate digital competitive reporting"

What do you like best?

- Pathmatics has opened the doors to much more accurate digital competitive reporting, which is the key benefit

- The dashboard is user friendly

- The visuals within the dashboards are clear for direct export into client facing materials

- I like the idea of the breakdown between how advertisers are buying the media (direct to publisher, DSP, etc.), but have found through looking up my own brands that this is largely inaccurate.

What do you dislike?

- Data is hard to export into raw files to include with other competitive reports

- Missing professional/B2B websites and advertising (I work in healthcare and brands' HCP advertising is typically not picked up nor are the HCP endemic sites)

- Missing paid search, social, native, and content digital partnerships

- Questions on data reliability given the note about buying models above - still a new tool, so TBD their strength in the marketplace as a research partner

Use in tandem with other competitive research tools - this is only for your standard digital display reporting

- Understanding our brands' position in the marketplace vs. other brands in the category

- Better directional data than all other competitive tools

"Much more accurate spends for digital"

What do you like best?

The spend is much more accurate on this tool than our previous tools. The ease of use has been a big selling point for us as well. It's very intuitive, and user-friendly.

What do you dislike?

Not all websites are there automatically but we have been able to add all sites we are interested in. The exports are a bit clunky, something that could be improved upon coming from our Data team.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely give it a shot! It's very easy to use, we did not even need formal agency training, all of our end-users have been able to figure it out on their own for the most part, just tapping our administrator for questions as needed.

Competitive spend reporting and research. We are able to see what competitors in our space are spending in comparison to the brands we work with.

"Pathmatics for Advertising"

What do you like best?

Ability to see online activity & get an idea of top media partners driving to the site

What do you dislike?

Smaller websites do now have enough data

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use it to get a snapshot of how our clients business compares to the top competitors. We have been able to get a fast snapshot at spend and who are the top contributers of site traffic. This has helped us identify if there are partners we are missing out on utilizing.

"Relatively Satisfied"

What do you like best?

Can monitor multiple campaigns for a cross-channel perspective .

What do you dislike?

Sometimes glitchy and slow, can be problematic to check all of my campaigns.

Use it for all of your campaigns if possible!

Helps you keep track of multiple budgets in different campaigns. The quarterly reports are helpful too!

"Used pathmatics to gather competitive digital information"

What do you like best?

the interface is user friendly and provides great charts to copy and paste to use put on slides for presentations

What do you dislike?

I can't think of anything I particularly disliked about it, as my time using was over a year ago. I found it very helpful

"Not totally accurate, but the best we have "

What do you like best?

It shows way more accuracy than Nielsen. The dashboard is very easy to use. Easy to toggle between impression share and spend. Easy to read charts as well.

What do you dislike?

Wish there was more description for the creatives so that I can search for a specific creative. Wish they could include more brands as some of them aren't included.

Competitive awareness in the digital space. Definitely great to see the different ways our competitors are utilizing digital.

"Pathmatics is a user friendly tool to help with competitive spend research."

What do you like best?

I like the dashboards and the user experience. It's very easy to pull the reports and also love the granularity of all of the data.

What do you dislike?

It's still a fairly new tool so the reliability is still to be determined. I feel that all the tools out there are still to be used directionally so understanding how far the data discrepancy is would be helpful.

Use along with other tools - more digital focused so if you're working for other media types use alongside other tools.

A couple of small things that don't really impact the overall product.

"Pathmatics as a data partner "

What do you like best?

Pathmatics has been great at allowing us to dig deeper into the data, learn which advertisers are spending where and benchmark against competitors.

What do you dislike?

There were a few things we weren't able to see from the data with regard to our competitors.

We wanted to capture more spend, analyze where advertisers were buying and determine what products or packages we could create that would help us obtain that additional spend.

"Worked for what we needed it for"

What do you like best?

Pathmatics was helpful because we were able to find what we needed to in a relatively accessible platform.

Pathmatics still left some holes in our research, which I had to fill through social media.
