The one price list forming button. The drop down to pick the Work Code under the Work Code Text Tab Blue horse requires too many clicks or dragging when working with longer lists. Similarly, it would be nice to be able to configure the charging in Red Horse so that, for example, only the applicable fee codes (subset) are available rather than all. Then the user on a task could only charge the available fees in an invoicing process.
Many of the on-line interfaces do not provide the necessary detail for a professional practice.
We feel the IT hosted solution is best - as it is fast and allows me to operate on the East and West Coast with can scale using the hosting solution

I think Patricia's flexibility is what makes it different and has allowed us to adapt the software to meet most of our customer's needs and demands.
I think reporting is still a feature that is not as easy to use and easy to create or design from scratch. Also , we started using Patricia Collaboration Portal and we have struggled to configure it for different types of users. Lastly and this is probably more related to our firm that we are still not using all features to take full advantage of the software.
It is an investment and requires a leader within the organization to implement and take advantage of the main features. Also in the case of Latin America customers, which is our case, be aware that some of the features related to e-filing will not be available.
In general we get all kinds of requests from different clients for their specific needs such as reporting, invoicing and communicating. Patricia has allow us to meet most of these different requests. Also, Patricia is allowing us to create letters from templates that are almost readty to be sent to the client. We have reduced response time and accuracy significantly thanks to Patricia.
Customer service; Raul Duarte has been great business partner to us and we learned a lot about Patricia in
a very short time.
There is no automatic incorporation of developments on your portfolio without feedback by the user; also, the lack of an annuity payment platform provided by other companies in the same line of business (i.e. competitors) is an advantage they have over Patrix (Patricia). I do believe that the Patricia software could be even more friendly to use, because of the database included among the software your really cannot see it unless you download a report or you make your search on a case by case basis.
Great product for your money. I would suggest using Patricia as an anuity payment solution for your patent or trademark portfolio in order to avoid big law firm fees for a lower fee and in a cost effective spirit.
Anuity payments and database. Our portfolio control is way better than it used to be, and now Patricia is our exclusive source of information on Intellectual Property related matter regarding our portfolio.

Integrated patent management solutions via software consolidation. We are looking to Patricia to handle a number of tasks that currently are managed through multiple software programs.
I have worked in IP for 21 years and have used the majority of IP Docketing Software available throughout my career and can honestly say that Patricia is the best. This system not only can be used for IP Docketing but can be used as Contract Management and/or Document Management systems. Patricia's workflows are exactly like the day to day activities whether your are working in a law firm or corporate law department. The database is customizable which enables clients to docket items in accordance with the firm's or departments docketing procedures. The system includes country law updates which are easily downloaded from Patrix's website. In addition, Patrix's IP Annuity Service handles all of our annuities due with a one step setting to enable Patrix to know which cases should be paid or not. The exchange of information is done electronically and all annuity receipts are imported into the corresponding case without having unnecessary stacks of annuity receipts that are either tossed or left in a drawer for filing (which never get filed by the way). By far this is the most advanced system in the IP Docketing arena. I use Patricia to docket all of my patent and trademark cases, contract management including expiration dates and Annual Reporting/MARs for license agreements as well as a document management system where every email or document is captured in the applicable matter. Customized reports can be created on the back end in SQL Server Management Studio if needed as well as in the Report Runner. All in all, I highly recommend Patricia for any law firm or corporate law department.
The only issue I have found in the last seven years of using Patricia is the reporting function. Sometimes it seems it can be difficult to extract the information in the front end because a report needs to be created first. This is the reason that I use the back end to take existing SQL scripts and customize them to add the certain data that I need. Once created, I can take the SQL query and create a new report in Report Runner which can be ran by any person that has been given access.
Please contact Patrix before purchasing another docketing system. You will never go back to the old way of docketing.
This system has enabled our corporate law department to manage our annuities at a low cost instead of having to pay a law firm or another separate annuity service substantial amounts of money because they usually charge from $100-$500 per case. With Patricia our savings are substantial and with all of the systems in one package, there is no need to purchase separate database software systems.
