"Fantastic tool for a public affairs team "

What do you like best?

It is great that key contacts are already in the tool - it can be used straight away without having to input any stakeholder data. The information that is already there is also editable. It is a very clean looking and stylish tool which is enjoyable to use. The key benefit of using PR Gloo is that it has some very helpful evaluation tools which can be pulled off the system quickly. The new feature where you can email conversations to the tool is fantastic as it saves a lot of time typing from scratch. The customer service is superb.

What do you dislike?

It would be good to turn off features we don't use but that doesn't take away the utility and usability of the tool. There are a few small bugs but you expect that with any service.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed somewhere to store our contact with stakeholders that a number of colleagues could access. It is still early days but being able to see all our contact in one place shows us what we've done and still have to do. It gives us a firm basis from which we can evaluate our work.

"PRgloo at a train operating company"

What do you like best?

Very simple web-based interface, making it easy to use for media relations as well as stakeholder engagement. We also use the system in our Customer Service team for the logging of inquiries received by our Managing Director and from MPs and other senior stakeholders.

What do you dislike?

The reporting functionality could be improved to produce easier-to-use personalised report templates that can be saved and reused. The data export facility is currently too crude. It would also be helpful to add more fields to the Contacts section to allow correct forms of address to be added, allowing higher-quality personalised newsletters to be sent out. It would also be helpful to add more details in the Timeline under a particular contact (e.g. the Title of a Case) to make it easier to search. Finally, it would be good to add names to Cases and Activities without adding creating a brand new Contact (for ad hoc records of people).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We now have consistent information on press releases, statements, engagement with journalists and stakeholders. The newsletter functionality allows much higher-quality outreach than using Outlook and a simple email approach. The Case function allows all of the information relating to an interaction to be stored and tracked simply, and searched at a later date.

"Excellent system - excellent customer service"

What do you like best?

PRGloo is a very user friendly system with a clean and simple interface that is intuitive and easy to use. It’s also a very nice looking site and has everything that we need for our media team.

Everything is logical, understandable and it’s easy to customise it to work with how our own team work and report on the things that we would like reported on.

The system is excellent and we are delighted with how it works for us, however, it really is the PRGloo support team that makes it for us.

They are so helpful, friendly and happy to take feedback on how the system could work better for us. They really want their product to be the best possible product it can be and they will happily take our feedback and suggestions and have implemented many things – big and small – to improve the system. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the customer service that they provide is second to none.

What do you dislike?

My only issue is that the reporting function doesn’t pull things out to the level that I would prefer based on how we are using the system. However, the PRGloo team take on board any and all comments so I’m happy that within a few months the system will do exactly what I want it to and it’s still far and away the best system I’ve ever used as part of a media team.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We moved to this product when our previous product contract ended and it was a mad rush to find a suitable replacement product within a very tight time frame.

The PRGloo team pulled out all the stops and managed to take the data from our previous system and move it over so we didn’t lose any of our previous enquiries, contacts etc. This was a fairly simple process so anyone looking to move over from their current systems should have no concerns about losing the data they’ve currently built up.

The interface is so user friendly and intuitive. Training is provided by the team but it’s so easy to pick up that you shouldn’t have any worries in that regard. I’ve heard a lot of comments from the team that there is no worry of ‘breaking’ the system. Some systems you feel you could lose data by pressing the wrong button but this is not the case with PRGloo. There is also the benefit that the system warns you if you are closing a window without having saved your work so it helps you to not waste your time and work more efficiently.

This is an excellent product, the support team are fantastic and I would happily recommend this product to any media team or news desk.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use PRGloo as a tool to record and manage our media enquiries, send out our press releases, manage our contacts, collate our coverage and hold our resource library.

Compared to other systems, I feel this has helped us keep a better track of our enquiries and given us a more robust way of recording our enquiries as well as reporting on them after the fact.

With this system, the team feels they have more ownership over it and how it works for us as a team. It’s made us look more closely at how we record things, how we send things out and that has made us more efficient as a team. I also feel that as we grow as a team and an organisation, PRGloo will grow with us which is a great comfort that we’re going to be using this system for the long haul.

"Excellent product, and exceptional support"

What do you like best?

The best thing about PRGloo is that it has a clean simple interface which is really easy to navigate. It has everything I need to product professional press releases, and good reporting functions.

The team at PRGloo are also exceptional, and always keen for feedback - they have, on numerous occassions taken on feedback and made big changes to the system to accomdate a better user experiance.

What do you dislike?

A better integration of media coverage would be useful, but this is underway. Some sort of proof-reading widget would be good so you can be sure any releases etc. are free from spelling errors. The reporting function has improved well since we first began using it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This is an excellent product. The user-interface is easy to use and looks clean and smart.

The support provided by PRGloo is second to none - they truly care about their customers, and will go above and beyond to make sure customers are getting to the most from the product.

I would highlu reccomend this product to any Media or Comms team - we love it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to keep a much better record of the work we are doing, are able to search previous actions easily - and are getting to inform our staff more about what the Comms&Media team do.

It has made us better as a team, as we can more easily predict themes and topics that might create noise.

"PRGloo as a planning tool and media enquiries log"

What do you like best?

It is very intuitive and easy-to-use. Offering an online platform, which can be updated and shared across the team, gives us a real-time system and means we can work as a team across multiple locations.

What do you dislike?

There are some functionality shortfalls, but whenever we've raised them, the team has been very responsive at noting them and I get the impression such feedback forms a key part of the platform revisions.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It allows us to easily manage incoming media enquiries, interview bids and statements.

We also use the system to plan our activities, with an extensive calendar of events, using the PR Planner.

It's very useful for coordinating and sharing work across different teams.

"Really helpful media relations tool"

What do you like best?

The platform is intuitive and easy to use. The 'influencers' can be searched using a number of filters, including geography, which is helpful for our purposes. We have been able to grow our own distribution lists very easily.

It is a good tool for distributing large attachments along with news releases. The ability to attach large documents, images or video/audio files without clogging up inboxes is very helpful.

The PRGloo team are also very helpful, and respond to any questions, suggestions or requests very quickly.

What do you dislike?

Some influencers' email addresses are missing or contact details could be improved.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Is has helped us connect with specialist and local press. It has also helped us to distribute attachments.
