"Fantastic tool for a public affairs team "

What do you like best?

It is great that key contacts are already in the tool - it can be used straight away without having to input any stakeholder data. The information that is already there is also editable. It is a very clean looking and stylish tool which is enjoyable to use. The key benefit of using PR Gloo is that it has some very helpful evaluation tools which can be pulled off the system quickly. The new feature where you can email conversations to the tool is fantastic as it saves a lot of time typing from scratch. The customer service is superb.

What do you dislike?

It would be good to turn off features we don't use but that doesn't take away the utility and usability of the tool. There are a few small bugs but you expect that with any service.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed somewhere to store our contact with stakeholders that a number of colleagues could access. It is still early days but being able to see all our contact in one place shows us what we've done and still have to do. It gives us a firm basis from which we can evaluate our work.

"PRgloo at a train operating company"

What do you like best?

Very simple web-based interface, making it easy to use for media relations as well as stakeholder engagement. We also use the system in our Customer Service team for the logging of inquiries received by our Managing Director and from MPs and other senior stakeholders.

What do you dislike?

The reporting functionality could be improved to produce easier-to-use personalised report templates that can be saved and reused. The data export facility is currently too crude. It would also be helpful to add more fields to the Contacts section to allow correct forms of address to be added, allowing higher-quality personalised newsletters to be sent out. It would also be helpful to add more details in the Timeline under a particular contact (e.g. the Title of a Case) to make it easier to search. Finally, it would be good to add names to Cases and Activities without adding creating a brand new Contact (for ad hoc records of people).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We now have consistent information on press releases, statements, engagement with journalists and stakeholders. The newsletter functionality allows much higher-quality outreach than using Outlook and a simple email approach. The Case function allows all of the information relating to an interaction to be stored and tracked simply, and searched at a later date.

"Excellent system - excellent customer service"

What do you like best?

PRGloo is a very user friendly system with a clean and simple interface that is intuitive and easy to use. It’s also a very nice looking site and has everything that we need for our media team.

Everything is logical, understandable and it’s easy to customise it to work with how our own team work and report on the things that we would like reported on.

The system is excellent and we are delighted with how it works for us, however, it really is the PRGloo support team that makes it for us.

They are so helpful, friendly and happy to take feedback on how the system could work better for us. They really want their product to be the best possible product it can be and they will happily take our feedback and suggestions and have implemented many things – big and small – to improve the system. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the customer service that they provide is second to none.

What do you dislike?

My only issue is that the reporting function doesn’t pull things out to the level that I would prefer based on how we are using the system. However, the PRGloo team take on board any and all comments so I’m happy that within a few months the system will do exactly what I want it to and it’s still far and away the best system I’ve ever used as part of a media team.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We moved to this product when our previous product contract ended and it was a mad rush to find a suitable replacement product within a very tight time frame.

The PRGloo team pulled out all the stops and managed to take the data from our previous system and move it over so we didn’t lose any of our previous enquiries, contacts etc. This was a fairly simple process so anyone looking to move over from their current systems should have no concerns about losing the data they’ve currently built up.

The interface is so user friendly and intuitive. Training is provided by the team but it’s so easy to pick up that you shouldn’t have any worries in that regard. I’ve heard a lot of comments from the team that there is no worry of ‘breaking’ the system. Some systems you feel you could lose data by pressing the wrong button but this is not the case with PRGloo. There is also the benefit that the system warns you if you are closing a window without having saved your work so it helps you to not waste your time and work more efficiently.

This is an excellent product, the support team are fantastic and I would happily recommend this product to any media team or news desk.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use PRGloo as a tool to record and manage our media enquiries, send out our press releases, manage our contacts, collate our coverage and hold our resource library.

Compared to other systems, I feel this has helped us keep a better track of our enquiries and given us a more robust way of recording our enquiries as well as reporting on them after the fact.

With this system, the team feels they have more ownership over it and how it works for us as a team. It’s made us look more closely at how we record things, how we send things out and that has made us more efficient as a team. I also feel that as we grow as a team and an organisation, PRGloo will grow with us which is a great comfort that we’re going to be using this system for the long haul.

"Excellent product, and exceptional support"

What do you like best?

The best thing about PRGloo is that it has a clean simple interface which is really easy to navigate. It has everything I need to product professional press releases, and good reporting functions.

The team at PRGloo are also exceptional, and always keen for feedback - they have, on numerous occassions taken on feedback and made big changes to the system to accomdate a better user experiance.

What do you dislike?

A better integration of media coverage would be useful, but this is underway. Some sort of proof-reading widget would be good so you can be sure any releases etc. are free from spelling errors. The reporting function has improved well since we first began using it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This is an excellent product. The user-interface is easy to use and looks clean and smart.

The support provided by PRGloo is second to none - they truly care about their customers, and will go above and beyond to make sure customers are getting to the most from the product.

I would highlu reccomend this product to any Media or Comms team - we love it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to keep a much better record of the work we are doing, are able to search previous actions easily - and are getting to inform our staff more about what the Comms&Media team do.

It has made us better as a team, as we can more easily predict themes and topics that might create noise.

"PRGloo as a planning tool and media enquiries log"

What do you like best?

It is very intuitive and easy-to-use. Offering an online platform, which can be updated and shared across the team, gives us a real-time system and means we can work as a team across multiple locations.

What do you dislike?

There are some functionality shortfalls, but whenever we've raised them, the team has been very responsive at noting them and I get the impression such feedback forms a key part of the platform revisions.

It allows us to easily manage incoming media enquiries, interview bids and statements.

We also use the system to plan our activities, with an extensive calendar of events, using the PR Planner.

It's very useful for coordinating and sharing work across different teams.

"Really helpful media relations tool"

What do you like best?

The platform is intuitive and easy to use. The 'influencers' can be searched using a number of filters, including geography, which is helpful for our purposes. We have been able to grow our own distribution lists very easily.

It is a good tool for distributing large attachments along with news releases. The ability to attach large documents, images or video/audio files without clogging up inboxes is very helpful.

The PRGloo team are also very helpful, and respond to any questions, suggestions or requests very quickly.

What do you dislike?

Some influencers' email addresses are missing or contact details could be improved.

Is has helped us connect with specialist and local press. It has also helped us to distribute attachments.

"Easy to use - and client excellent support"

What do you like best?

PRgloo is user friendly and intuitive. The system is easy to navigate, with everything logically designed and organised.

We use PRgloo for all of our proactive and reactive media work, and our team has quickly taken to it. The fact it's so straightforward to use also means that new members of staff require very little training before they're fully up to speed.

The search function is particularly useful.

The help and advice we've received from the PRgloo support team has been excellent from the moment we signed up. They're responsive, helpful and invariably resolve any issues in quick time.

What do you dislike?

It would be helpful if the reporting function was a bit more flexible - at present it doesn't allow us to break things down by client - but I know this is being worked so hopefully improvements are in the pipeline.

Ditto the calendar, which doesn't have an alerts function, but I'm aware this is also being considered...

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When we signed up for PRgloo, we were looking for a system that was reliable, easy to use, and that allowed us to share and coordinate our work across multiple teams based in different locations.

Suffice to say, it's more than met our requirements on all counts.

"Best PR management tool I've used"

What do you like best?

PR Gloo is easy to navigate, stores things in easy-to-find places and allows you log activity effectively and efficiently. It makes distributing press release straightforward and speedy.

What do you dislike?

At firs it seems annoying to have to create a basic profile when you want to log contact with a journalist not already on the system. But you realise the benefit later on as the next time you interact with that person they're easy to find and all their details are available.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Main benefit is keeping responses to press queries collected in one place accessible to the whole team with a minimum of fuss and with a brilliantly easy-to-use interface.

Also offers a tool for professional looking press releases which link automatically to mailing lists.

Makes the boring parts of the job quick and painless.

"Media manager"

What do you like best?

They have created a hugely useful and simple system that is designed to save busy press office's time and energy. You can always get hold of anyone really easily and are very accommodating and keen to hear feedback.

What do you dislike?

Nothing - they are great!

More sophisticated reporting tools? But at the moment this requires the user to input more information, so this is really down to us users!!

We were previously logging lines in emails - which was a disaster. PRgloo have made it much easier to share and record lines for a busy, issues driven press office.

"PR Gloo - makes life easy so far"

What do you like best?

Compared to the clunky software packages that we have used for logging enquiries, this one is by far the best. Easy to navigate and intuitive. We've actually enjoyed using it. It is clear that those who have produced it have worked with PR folks so that they have a system that actually works and is easy to find your way around.

We've just recently had access to a new media database system via PR Gloo so we've not had time to really check that out. We have a done a little bit of playing about on it and there's a couple of glitches still to iron out - they are aware of this.

We've found the service support good and fast to help you out.

What do you dislike?

I guess if I was being picky I would say that for our intended use there's maybe too many features for what we need.....not that these get in the way - it is a quick system to use. There's a lot of choice to do this and that but we tend to just do the minimum to be as fast as possible.

We do find the inputting of "themes" and "topics" to search under a bit confusing at times, and for us, not really needed. This is the only part of the software that sometimes stumps us but a wee error box comes up to tell us where we are going wrong.

These are really minor issues and with more use (only being using it for a few months) we will get a better handle on using them.

Easy to use, bespoke software which is certainly worth looking at to support Comms/Media functions.

We needed a ready made system to log and accurately trace media enquiries and search media outlets and reporters. PR Gloo is the best all in one system we have used to date.

"Used many systems - PRgloo is up there with the best"

What do you like best?

Unlike some providers that have gone for style over substance PRgloo clearly put functionality and ease of use first, and then added a clean modern look afterwards. And that's where it has the edge over the competition. Want a quick and easy process which means your staff don't spend more time logging interaction than they do actually interacting? PRgloo is for you. Whether it's logging calls, organising interview bids, issuing releases or analysing all interactions, each process is intuitive and designed to get the job done with the least amount of fuss. Oh yes, it looks pretty too!!

What do you dislike?

Very little, there are some 'nice to have functions' that it doesn't offer at the moment, but I know new developments are always just around the corner.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

PRgloo has enabled me to keep a much closer eye on engagement with media and stakeholders and provides excellent analytics as well as streamlining our contact management processes.

"First rate platform"

What do you like best?

This is an easy to use platform backed up by an excellent media database. PRgloo also provide a quick, responsive service for users although the ease of use of the system has meant that has rarely been needed.

What do you dislike?

We transferred to PRgloo some six months ago and there have been no real issues. There is nothing to dislike.

We use PRgloo for targeting and distributing news releases. They get to where we want them, they look good and are proving effective in getting us strong coverage.

"Occasional first-time user"

What do you like best?

How quickly and simply any input can be made

What do you dislike?

Too much white space, would be better if each page was a bit busier by closing the gaps a bit and reducing some fields in size.

In each influencer's profile, one can't initiate a new 'conversation' with them - would be useful to be able to do that

"Great PR Tool"

What do you like best?

No major gripes. This is a really good system. Easy to get around and extremely reliable. 'Team Gloo' appear to have taken a lot of client feedback into account to make this a good CRM/web tool.

What do you dislike?

Can't think of anything I don't like about this system.

Nice people to deal with and they really do know their market.

Apart from the obvious benefits we get with the system, PRGLOO is really helping with our evaluation. This is an important part of what we do and the system is helping us to feed in on the number of customer calls we are taking, as well as what parts of our business they are engaging with.

"Like Oxygen, I need it to live"

What do you like best?

Super user-friendly. Grouping related calls by topics means everything is easy to find and I'm not doubling-up on work

What do you dislike?

'Emails' being wrapped up in the 'your hard work' numbers - an ability to strip out and customise the data displayed on the dashboard would be great

It's easy to use, the team are really helpful and we really like it.

"Good user interface; ideal for teams"

What do you like best?

Distribution of press releases is second to none. Also: clean user interface, good for tracking issues across multiple team members in large and small organisations.

What do you dislike?

The relationship between 'conversations' and 'topics' (ie issues) is still a little clunky. It would be nice if these were more joined up.

Tracking issues and conversations across a team of 15 press officers. Good knowledge database.
