What do you like best?
The most powerful part of Procore is the collaboration it cultures between all the departments of our company. The combination of mobile software, integrations, and the web allows every member of the project team to communicate information in real time. This in turns allows for more time actually managing the project and reducing the time commitment of team members administrative responsibilities.
What do you dislike?
My role is solely to implement and facilitate the use of Procore within our company. Procore has made helpful how to documents, training videos, and online courses available to all its users. The biggest challenge I find is that quite often users have no idea these resources exist. This leads to frustration with the product, an unwillingness to adopt, or the product not being maximized to its fullest potential. .
Recommendations to others considering the product
Procore is an excellent construction management software! The biggest gains we have found have been with our teams in the field. The mobile tools have allowed us to quickly communicate and track issues between employees and subcontractors all in one collaborative place. Here in Australia we have had some challenges with the financial tools, but back in the US those tools work very well. In addition, there are many API integrations available to help meet your company's needs (Docusign, MS Project, P6, ect). In my opinion, no matter the size of your company, Procore can improve your business, promote transparency between organizations, and save you money.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Improving the communication between the site and management has allowed our Project Managers to gain a better picture of their project while not having to be physically on site. In addition, the tool is allowing our site teams to better track and call out any issues in order to ensure that our punch list and additional costs are minimized. I am also hoping to make the switch to the Training Center in the coming months to improve how we direct our employees on how to use the product.
