"Marketing associate increasing lead database for 1 year so far with Prospect IO"

What do you like best?

I love that Prospect IO is a Chrome extension, so any website you go to, you can simply click the extension button, and it'll scan contact information for you. I also appreciate the LinkedIn feature. It keeps track of people you've already "prospected" - so you can stay organized and don't lose credits.

What do you dislike?

There are often malfunctions with the software. It has trouble loading, or it simply doesn't work sometimes. I often have to uninstall and re-install the Chrome extension to get it to work again.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you have a small team, with only 2-3 people using the platform, I wouldn't go overboard on the amount of credits you buy. (Generally, one credit = one email address for you). The credits reset every 6th of the month, and it's been tough for our team to use them all up before they expire.

We've significantly increased our lead database by using Prospect IO.

"Has promise, but a long way from being market ready"

What do you like best?

Hugely responsive customer support team. Very easy to chat with and helpful with answers. It's easy to upload lists, and they offer an email verification service that checks for invalid addresses on upload.

What do you dislike?

Honestly, there's almost nothing to like. The UI is challenging, the system behaves unexpectedly (eg. you think a campaign is paused or archived but it keeps sending emails), you can't schedule multiple campaigns in advance because one contact can't exist in multiple campaigns, there's a limit of 400 emails sent per day (which is usually fine but can be frustrating in certain circumstances), there's no unsubscribe option/link, there's no clear indication who has received a campaign once the last email has been sent, it doesn't show you lists of who bounced, responded, clicked. It's really only in its early stages. There are numerous typos throughout the application making it feel unpolished and not market ready.

Don't use it. Give it a few more quarters to mature.

"Have never found a better product than this...."

What do you like best?

For streamlining the sales process. LOVE IT

There is really nothing to say here. It's a straightforward product with good support and does what it says it will. My whole team loves it.

"Neat product"

What do you like best?

I've only just started using prospect.io but it's been really time saving and a neat tool. At first I was a little concerned the data wouldn't be accurate/up to date but I verified it was really quite accurate with some known companies.

What do you dislike?

I've not really used in anger too much to uncover any issues so far.

Mainly collecting and exporting contacts and prospects. Traditional prospect databases are too wide, and prospect allows me to target specific niches without wading through useless data

"One of the best cold email automation softwares"

What do you like best?

Good automation software (similar to tools like Reply.io) that allows you to split test, segment, and better understand the results of your campaigns.

What do you dislike?

The price is definitely higher than some alternatives (Mailshake is a lot cheaper) but the additional features like split testing are worth it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I'd evaluate other options if the price is too high (MailShake is all most small businesses need). This is great for power users or large sales teams, though.

Automating our cold email outreach. This allows us to focus on follow-ups and closing.

"My favorite of all the email blast/scraper software "

What do you like best?

Awesome to use, direct chrome plug-in allows you to grab an emails right from LinkedIn. You can build lists and complete drip campaigns. Good customer support.

What do you dislike?

Seems like it’s been harder lately to get accurate email addresses.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I didn’t like constant contact and I would try researching others before you decide to use prospect.io. I think it’s the best for the price.

"Prospect.io is not a marketing tool"

What do you like best?

Tools to help find or qualify emails, CRM capability and good contact filtering options.

What do you dislike?

Lack of unsubscribe feature, lac of list management and the a mail limit of 400 emails sent (total)/day.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our team was looking for a drip email marketing software that could manage and score our leads. The UX was poor, there were typos and the email editor was not robust. Overall: Pricing plans modelled after how many emails you can send a day was an odd one.

"Reliable Chrome extension and easy/fast user interface"

What do you like best?

I like the user interface. It's easy to get started and create a drip campaign. I use the Chrome extension daily, mostly on LinkedIn and AngelList. It helps a lot!

What do you dislike?

There are a few key features missing but I know that they are working on, as we can all see on their public roadmap.

"No more reliable than Email Hunter"

What do you like best?

Integrates with LinkedIn to create Prospect record in Salesforce.

What do you dislike?

Salesforce integration is unreliable and required a workaround to even function when prospecting outside US. For a European-based product this was a disappointment.

Does not fill the gap in quick and accurate lead gen straight that SalesLoft Prospector left in most sales organizations when it discontinued the service.

"Data Integrity Issues"

What do you like best?

Love the interface - more so than the interface, the Google Chrome Extension, which I use frequently, when I have multiple tabs open in Google Chrome.

What do you dislike?

From my perspective, Prospect.io data seems to have some integrity issues, meaning that I'm finding more accurate contact information from other, similar tools.

I use Prospect.io to identify new sales prospects, which we research, and then execute direct outreach campaigns.

"Works well"

What do you like best?

Scraping for emails is a great feature. Building campaigns is SUPER easy

What do you dislike?

Wish it had auto-scraping for all pages within a search. Now you have to manually switch pages and hit the scraping button
