"Powerful tools offering priceless insight into placement and deliverability"

What do you like best?

In the ever-evolving email environment - where engagement, authentication and complex mailbox provider algorithms make or break a senders deliverability and inbox placement - it’s important to work with the best. Aligning with Return Path was an excellent decision for us and has allowed us to remain very competitive in the inbox. They have unique and vital relationships with many mailbox providers, and the insight that affords us is unparalleled. The tools are innovative and they are always working on the next best thing, plus, they are easy to integrate and customize, so we’re able to focus more energy and attention on building compelling creatives, content and growing our great email program.

What do you dislike?

We've been very happy working with Return Path, but some of our IPs are "shared", so we send on behalf of multiple domains and I would love a way to tap into even MORE within the "Inbox Monitor" tool based on this unique multi-domain set-up.

For our shared IPs, they treat us as if we were an ESP, but we're not and it's a very unique situation since we're owned by the users we send on behalf of. I feel there should be Certification options, above safelisting, available for organizations in this situation.

Set-up a webinar today and then see if a trial is available so you can really test it out and see if it makes sense for your business. Make sure you have a clear idea of what you're looking to accomplish with the tools and push the sales team to answer your questions. This product is not for everyone, so questions are key.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The Return Path portfolio has allowed us to maximize our inbox placement across all IPs, confidently warm up new IPs without a hitch, transition to fully responsive designs, target and resolve temporary deliverability issues with certain providers and so much more! I cannot say enough great things about the tools and the people at Return Path. Our program continues to grow and improve due to this great relationship.

"Return Path email optimization"

What do you like best?

Visibility into email deliverability/inbox placement not provided in-the-box by our email system. Alerts for blacklists and deliverability issues. Pre-deployment tools to test rendering (Litmus).

What do you dislike?

Some implementation hurdles, not everything as simple as we hoped. Not everything disclosed during sales process but some of that is on us for not asking the right questions. Not full visibility into B2B providers but they do support some with their seedlists.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Ask lots of questions during the sales process to be sure this is the right solution for you and your unique business needs. Ask about implementation and the details of what is/is not included, what exactly are all the different service components. There are other vendors out there but we felt that this was the best fit for our needs and challenges.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Email optimization, inbox placement, catching issues and red flags right away, leading to higher open rates, conversions, and revenue from email programs. This tool is helping us find flaws in our email programs that are bringing down our ability to deliver email to the inbox.

"Managed Accounts are the way to go"

What do you like best?

We are a platinum partner and receive a lot of hands on help from our technical account rep. I've personally interfaced with 4 technical account reps over the last 3.5 years and our first and current are phenomenal assets to our deliverability efforts. They continually go above and beyond in getting us the information we need in a timely manner. We love working with them.

What do you dislike?

The tool has it's limitations. It'd also be nice to get a little more international ISP coverage in some of the geos we focus on.

Recommendations to others considering the product

While I haven't used the self-service model they provide, we have found great successes here with the partnership we've created. It has been worth the monetary investment it requires.

Also, the whitelisting program works. We see increases/decreases in inboxing directly correlated to whether or not we're certified.

We're monitoring our email deliverability on batch and blast type mailings. We have seen increased inboxing rates due to the technical and strategic direction in conjunction with the whitelisting program they offer.

"Exceptional Email Marketing Intelligence Tools to Help Maximize Deliverability and ROI"

What do you like best?

Return Path tools such as Inbox Monitor allow you to gain better insights into how many of your emails are actually making it to the inbox. This unique data is not available from your Email Service Provider, so it is hugely beneficial. You are able to gain a much more holistic picture into the true performance of your email marketing program.

What do you dislike?

I wish that the size of the Return Path Consumer Network was larger than it is, which is currently about 2,500,000. While the Return Path Seed List provides a great proxy for deliverability in Inbox Monitor, having insights into Inbox Placement Rates from your actual subscribers is much more valuable. Smaller campaigns often do not have enough overlap between your customer list and the Return Path Consumer Network, giving you only the seed list data.

Go for it, you will not be disappointed!

We're trying to increase our deliverability and corresponding ROI. Return Path's tools have been invaluable in helping us to drive the greatest value out of our email marketing program. What do you like best?

we are looking to improve the deliverability of our emails. We have used a few tools but return path is the most user friendly interface by far. We have only used it a few days and seeing results already.

habe not found any problems yet, although tried to reset my password yesterday and nothing has come through.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have a weekly leads bulletin that goes out every week and in the first 10 months of launch we have gathered a large database. As the database is growing day by day its hard to keep on top of making sure the database is clean, do our customers and leads still want to hear from us etc. The benefit of the tool so far is we can see immediately where our sending reputation is and what we need to do to improve.

"Useful But Expensive"

What do you like best?

I love the inbox monitor component. Being able to add a simple seed list to my marketing emails allowed me to track spam and undeliverable rates over time. This was extremely helpful as I could see shifts up and down based on the audience segment I was mailing. This helped inform my email segmenting strategy.

What do you dislike?

Their certification program is over hyped. I used it for over a year and saw no significant changes between being certified and not certified. I never saw a return on this investment.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Test the certification program before purchasing it. If not allowed to test how successful it is first then just use the inbox monitor.

The tool was meant to solve issues with email deliverability and help decrease spam rates. The main benefit is the inbox monitor feature which gave a good read on whether we need to adjust our customer segments or not to maximize our email inboxing.

"Good tool set, consulting and certification to assist with e-mail delivery"

What do you like best?

They often have solutions to issues based on best practices, their tools and their clients. Certification helps bypass filters at large ISP's including Yahoo, Microsoft/Hotmail, AOL and Comcast. In-Box monitor shows you how your messages are being delivered at all major ISP's. From bulk to in-box to missing. You can look by day, ISP's, domain and other options. In-Box Preview let's us see how the message will look at various ISP mailboxes including webmail, desktop, mobile and more., We also use it to test all advertiser messages as it detects errors and any advertiser reputation issues. Their team of consultants helps us review our reports, offer solutions, audits best practices and helps us when we have questions we can't answer internally.

What do you dislike?

They can be slower than others to share industry news. As an example, we have seen ISP's have issues and RP is slow to adviser their users.

Recommendations to others considering the product

You need to have a set of best practices to have good e-mail delivery. RP can assist you with technical details, audit industry best practices and help you analyze your data.

We use them for e-mail delivery consulting, certification at major ISP's to bypass some filters, and to provide another set of eyes for our marketing, deployment and tech teams.

"Invaluable tool with amazing customer service "

What do you like best?

Other than providing invaluable tools for our email program, ReturnPath's Customer Service and Technical Account Managers are amazing. When our program started to experience deliverability issues, our ReturnPath team was able to identify the underlying issue, give insightful feedback, and provide action items to address the problem within hours.

What do you dislike?

Not a huge fan of the integration, specifically the UX, within SFMC.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Through Return Path's Inbox and Reputation Monitors, we are able to track placement trends and lowest performing campaigns, enabling us to identify and address deliverability issues before they impact our email program. ReturnPath has also been able to notify us of other issues, such as IP blacklisting.

"#masthave for every email marketer"

What do you like best?

Fast finding out main reasons of poor deliverability.

That's how I find blacklisted IPs, bad reputation of sender servers IPs e.t.c.

What do you dislike?

Low functionality available for free for tiny companies. That's it. Nothing more.

Try it, and you'll love it!

Our main income stream is – email marketing.

So high quality of deliverability is important component of our system.

And with different clients – we use different email sending solutions.

ReturnPath instruments allow us to find out – are those solutions good enough, or it will be better to change them to another.

What do you like best?

Return Path allows my staff and I to ensure our many email programs are running smoothly. We log-in daily to watch our email flow, and measure inbox status and email deliverability.. Additionally, I use the Subject Line Optimizer often to review subject line trends and historical data.

What do you dislike?

Can be cumbersome to learn and review. Time is needed to learn the system.

"Crazy About Return Path"

What do you like best?

The reporting is so clear and easy to view at a glance. I love receiving the reports along with any suggestions for improved inbox placement. We're also wild about the Subject Line Optimizer.

What do you dislike?

It would be nice if the suggestions for improvement provided more in-depth information rather than just the broad information about an error.

"Great Service & Improved Deliverability"

What do you like best?

IP certification & Inbox monitoring. In addition, working with their staff.

What do you dislike?

No magic solution for Gmail :) But in all seriousness, the only shortcoming on my side would be the desire for custom reporting.

We were warming up a new IP and struggling with deliverability. After getting Return Path, we were able to whitelist our IP with the major providers and see an immediate lift.

"If your company can afford it, get RP"

What do you like best?

The UI is failry intuitive. If you're an email marketer with experience, this tool has what you need.

What do you dislike?

(for self-service contract) If you have a real deliverability issue, you may have to spend more $$ to get a real resolution

it's worth comparison shopping, just to do your due diligence. But in the end, RP has the most comprehensive toolset in the marketplace, and it's not really close.

Email going to junk? RP has the data and tools to help understand why. If you need strategy, they can provide guidance on various email topics as well

I like the notification and automatic monitoring provided. The additional "authority" also offers boosts to clients needing help with their program.

"Return Path is best in class "

What do you like best?

Return Path continues to deliver quality data for deliverability. I like that Return Path provides multiple products that we utilize: certification, inbox monitor, and now looking forward email client insight.

What do you dislike?

I feel that the reasoning of error/issues are not always accurate.

"The tool has some very useful features, although the user experience could be improved in places."

What do you like best?

I like Returnpath's data visualization and the ease of toggling between different graphs and data sets without a page refresh.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes the data is presented in a way that is confusing/misleading. We have had to call our account manager on a few occasions to clarify information.

"An excellent tool in more ways than one."

It is a low maintenance tool that is highly effective for solving deliverability issues.

I have used ReturnPath for years, and really there is nothing to dislike. I recommend it to everyone who does not already use it.

"The Leader in Deliverability"

What do you like best?

Their email preview is top notch, as well as all of their reporting tools. They are very pro active about keeping and getting you out of the Spam folder. With a dedicated account manager, hands-on deliverability monitoring can take a back seat.

What do you dislike?

Dedicated services can take a cut out of your budget. Though, if you are a mass sender their services pay for themselves. I definitely recommend to anyone in the lead generation business.
