"Rubicon for your display marketing needs"

What do you like best?

The sales team, account team and products are great! We've been working with Rubicon for several months and are really satisfied with the results that we've seen. We're a DR and results driven client so these two elements are really important when it comes to exploring or determining which products to test out. The account teams are very hands on and consistently delivers on results.

What do you dislike?

Products in the network are slow to roll out and we're often the pioneers of their product so we apply a large amount of budget against their products to test. I would love to see more advertisers trial and error so I can have some information to gauge how well the product works as a product fit.

Recommendations to others considering the product

They're one of the most innovative direct buying platforms out there. They have a great team that provides excellent customer service. They go above and beyond for their advertisers.

Direct buying and not having to go through the middle man. Rubicon partners with several strategic partners to provide and streamline the process of direct buying. This enables buyers and sellers to increase the speed to market through automation on a global view to scale.

For buyers, these types of partnerships offer unprecedented scale and will standardize the end-to-end process for billions of direct sold campaigns for the world's largest brand advertisers.

"Definitely must have software for programmatic!"

What do you like best?

There are many great thing about Rubicon, so I will try to point out the best even there are a lots more:

- Inventory vary from many kind of platforms, form TV, Mobile to OOH

- Rich media capabilities is like unlimited, range from premium to inexpensive one, from standard (300x250, 250x250...) to premium (masthead, 300x600,...)

- Real time Buying, which is very important factor in programmatic

And the best thing, it's integrated with our DMP, and that by using Rubicon, data for our DMP is become richer and richer every MINUTES, real time since they access to likely unlimited inventories!

What do you dislike?

We have nothing to do about dislike, since we consistently maintain our high ROI with Rubicon, yes there is some disadvantages (as you could read others review) but it's nothing compare to the benefits.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Benefits form Rubicon is no doubt, and they have a very good customer service. This is a must have for programmatic so it's highly recommended for any advertising agency.

"Fast at uploading but needs improvement"

What do you like best?

In terms of getting creatives approved and speed of going through QA, rubicon is by far the fastest out of all the platforms I've used. Inventory prices are super low, they support rich media creatives and have a lot of inventory for 300x600s which are usually very hard to get. The set up is fairly intuitive. Great consumer support.

What do you dislike?

Tends to over deliver the budget often ( does not adhere to daily cap goals). Editing the campaign usually takes hours to take into effect and by then a bunch of impressions were already delivered before the changes take into effect.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Would suggest watching the amount of CPM bids you put and also the frequency caps. Changing these too high will result in over 60% of over deliveries.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Troubleshooting with the team on ways to decrease impression discrepancies. As well as better ways to manage settings or improve system lags to decrease over deliveries and adhere to impression cap goals.

"Deep access to the market"

What do you like best?

An easy way to connect to the RTB inventory.

Increasing access month to month.

Spanish and Portuguese marketplaces are growing and the platform allows work with it.

What do you dislike?

Too much time to solve problems. There are not enough resources to support the teams even as an agency.

Continue increasing the inventory. The tool is really good and euser friendly.

"Long time buyer very happy with Rubicon Project. "

What do you like best?

The self serve nature along with all the available inventory. They have very reasonable pricing on inventory available. I can buy mobile, tablet, desktop and have all targeting that I need.

What do you dislike?

There are 2 things I dislike. Their creative verification and their price forecasting. The creative verification will often fail even though your creatives/tags work perfectly. They use some sort of preview tool that doesn't always play friendly with other partners/adservers. I have been able to provide test pages to help prove the tags work.

The price forecasting is always way higher than needs to be. They show needing to bid a price that is a lot higher than what the clearing price is and they don't use second price auctions.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Keep in contact with your AM you will need their help. There will be issues with creatives being approved but they can help you with fixing issues/work around. Also don't be afraid to lower bid below recommended pricing you will still win inventory.

We have solved our need for inventory. We got the added value of reasonable rates and flexibility.

"Good for PMP"

What do you like best?

High scale in a PMP with multiple buying options and targeting options.

What do you dislike?

Nothing - we have had great success with utilizing Rubicon as our PMP partner.

Just make sure your site lists in the RFP process have the right scale - we've run into this issue after having contracted a buy.

Very simple and easy to use. Great inventory quality. One of the fastest platforms I've used. Good GUI.
