What do you like best?

some of the best features of the Software Include:

(1) Head Count report- this shows the total number of staff in history period, right from the deployment to the current month (Live Month)

(2) Employee Financial data grid, a one stop report for all details relating to pay for employees.

(3) Leave Administration: makes it easier to compute leave details.

(4) Statutory reporting in Nigeria especially Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund & Pay As You Earn reports have been seamlessly obtained from the software thereby reducing delays encountered in submission to the regulatory bodies.

(5) The application of usage is limitless especially for HR processes and procedures.

What do you dislike?

(1) Reporting may actually,be edited to suit usage at times,

(2) the feature for multiple currency usage especially in the management of expatriate employees that are not earning currencies in the local money may be difficult to inculcate in the software.

(3) while it has ensured easy retrieval of records and statutory reports, we occasionally have to edit these reports before they are submitted.

(4) The software can be slow at times especially after launch on.

(5) Having to search for employees using titles is rather cumbersome.

Recommendations to others considering the product

You have to discuss all relevant issues your business is facing before deploying the software and to ensure it meets your need.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We currently use the software for Employee management and we have been able to achieve-

(1) Leave Management

(2) Workforce/Manpower Audit

(3) Headcount

(4) Manpower reporting

(5) Employee dashboard

Great HR tool – very easy to use!

What do you like best?

We have been using Fairsail for just over a year now and the HR team are experiencing some huge benefits. The automated processes have not only enabled the HR team to be more efficient, the quality of our data has increased dramatically. Although Fairsail is an ‘out of the box' product, I am impressed with the amount of configuration options it has which enables us to build a system which really feels like our own but with a stable foundation. Our employees have provided some great feedback on the collaboration portal. They love having the ability to view their data anytime, and anywhere. The Fairsail implementation team have been fantastic throughout whole process, great team to work with, excellent support and very extensive knowledge.

What do you dislike?

There are some functionality gaps which would you expect to be incorporated into a HRIS of this size. Fairsail have focused some of the latest releases on the 'voice of the customer' so its great to see customers requests are being considered and incorporated in future releases.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Before implementing Fairsail, we had disparate systems, we now have one global, scalable people database providing capabilities beyond basic transactions. We have implemented standardized business processes to ensure consistency across the globe. The tool is easy to use and our employees and managers love having the ability to access/manage their own data via self-service which has improved our data quality dramatically. The easy to use reporting tools enable us to produce accurate, real-time, global reports.

Fairsail Implementation

What do you like best?

Everyone at Fairsail has been great to work with; consultative; responsive, personable, and customer focused.

What do you dislike?

The biggest challenge has been to supplement the core implementation services with additional training and change management delivery and materials. Because the system is so configurable, there are no standard off the shelf training documents and materials we could use straight off.

Recommendations to others considering the product

As with any HR implementation, spend the time on the front end ensuring you have processes documented and data cleansed as much as possible.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We did not have one central HCM; we used a group of non integrated systems from acquired companies. Fairsail has been able to incorporate all the HR activities into one global system, successfully allowing for management of different businesses around the globe.

We will be retiring 3 different systems that house HR data/functions today; we have already seen improved usage of ESS/MSS; user satisfaction, and data integrity.

Excellent HR soiution, strong support provided by Fairsail

What do you like best?

I love the flexibility of the system and ease of use. It enables HR professionals to manage their HR system using a user-friendly interface, without having to rely on an IT department to manage the system. Creating fields, setting up reports can all be done by non-IT professionals which provides a level of flexibility most HR solutions cannot provide. Highly configurable absence/leave module so easy to adapt to needs/requirements of different countries including more 'challenging' ones such as France, Italy or Belgium. Also rate the support received from Fairsail very highly, they are very responsive and are always happy to consider implementing suggestions for improvement in their next releases. The solution is reliable, running on the salesforce.com platform and combines the flexibility of a 'smaller' provider (i.e. vs. Oracle for example) with the robustness and reliability of a large and well established platform.

What do you dislike?

We knew right from the start Fairsail would not support all of our in-country local requirements 'out of the box'. This is not something I 'disliked' but I would like to emphasise that it will take some work to get each country set up, there is no such thing as a default configuration for 'France' or for 'China'. Having said that with the flexibility mentioned above it is relatively easy and quick to configure this and to ensure the system is aligned to our business needs applicable to each country. We had the system up and running, at least for the core functionality - for all countries within 6 weeks.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Would highly recommend Fairsail, especially in international organisations who need to see quick results and who do not have a large scale IT team to provide internal support on HR systems. Ideal for HR teams who would like to 'shape' their own HR solution without having to rely on internal or external IT consultants.

General HR reporting and forecast, headcount analysis, absence/leave management, recruitment, performance management, overtime, timesheets, self-service employees and managers, payroll interfacing

What do you like best?

The software has made provision for almost every considerable scenario in setting up Job profile management, performance management and leaves.

What do you dislike?

Although detailed, the handbooks are quite voluminous.

Sage comes highly recommended.

We are able to integrate key HR processes and have reduced the staff strength required to carry out administrative HR work by almost 30%.

What do you like best?

Configurability. The most configurable and flexible HRIS I have used.

Reporting is also very easy.

What do you dislike?

Some of the Salesforce restrictions can be frustrating.

Overall Fairsail provide outstanding value for money in comparison with the other products on the market. If you are a mid-sized global company with data quality issues and the desire to improve your HR processes, Fairsail is a great option.

Data quality - Improved our people data dramatically which has allowed is to integrate with other systems therefore streamlining HR processes as a result.

We have started producing HR Analytics which gives our Senior HR team access to strategic HR data when they need it in a click of a button.
