What do you like best?
Salesforce is known as the Maserati of CRM. It is a sophisticated system with lots of features to customize your company needs. This system grows as your company grows.
What do you dislike?
It is more for sales data tracking than for nonprofit organizations. Some of the languages have to be modified to reflect it accordingly. Also, in order to create standard nonprofit reports like retention or attrition, it has to be created and customized which is time consuming and expensive.
Recommendations to others considering the product
We were able to receive a grant from the Saleforce Foundation so it helped cut our cost in purchasing a CRM. It is important that the person who is using the system, provides accurate and consistent information.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The ability to track prospective donors, community leaders, and companies. It is nice to have all the information in one system and not on an Excel spreadsheet.
