SalesForce App Cloud: Identity: a handy tool to secure the business

What do you like best?

The best thing I like about salesforce identity is that it is well capable of managing the identities of employees, customers and partners and helps to manage the data sharing. This is done with praiseworthy simplicity and transparency. This XML based, seamless system will help you to communicate with one service to another in a very simple and easy means. Many applications can monitor under one umbrella using one password. This helps you to save lots of time and reduces your mental stress. You just need to get the app installed in your device and login into it and enjoy access to all other cloud and premises app. One just don’t need to have different password for different app, it’s a one way to get the work done. The two factor authentication system will really help to secure the data and will be able to reduce unwanted incidents.

What do you dislike?

So far so good, this is what I experienced using the product. Till now, no hurt feelings. However, there is room for customer support improvement. Hopefully, they’ll give a thought about this issue.

The product helps you a lot. It saves your valuable time. It is easy, simple and user friendly. One can definitely try it for better productivity.

The product helps to get the real time information. It removes the mental stress by reducing the hustle of resetting password. Last but not the least; it helps to protect the security of your business.

Salesforce App cloud Identity: Trusted Identity with Transparency

What do you like best?

Salaesforce identity provides a trusted and unique identity to its clients,employess and staffs so that I can manage the data sharing and other tasks with ease and transparency. The other thing I liked about Salesforce identity was that it provides unique and individual sign-ons for individual apps in mobile or cloud and other platforms. This increases employee satisfaction and productivity. There was ease of access for the customers as I could use my social media credentials for getting in every steps. The active directory value could be extended through simple synchronization,delegated authentication and desktop sign-ons. Two factor authentication (2FA) could be initialized to keep my data and apps safe.

What do you dislike?

However, I found few drawbacks for the Salesforce App cloud Identity. In Salesforce, any userfields that are required had to be administerd in the Active Directory. A users Username has to be different that of his e-mail. But, if a user needs different user name and e-mail,then a new directory has to be created in the Active Directory. While I finished setup of the Identity, it connected to multiple Identity networks and only one login link was provided. While some identity services could be installed by the IT department,Identity connect needs someone expert in the Identity platform which is quite hectic to be operated.

Considering the pros and cons, Identity Connect is a useful tool for organizations that aim to both reduce Salesforce user administration and simplify the Salesforce login process. But for organizations that only want to make the login process simple but the utility of the product will not be leveraged, then it is better to go with a less robust solution that is simpler to handle .

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The business purpose of Salesforce Identity Connect is that it is an Identity Provider that allows businesses to connect their Active Directory network with Salesforce. Salesforce users and Active Directory users can be synchronized once installed. Moreover, without compromising security and transparency, steps can be taken to simplify and eliminate the Salesforce login process .

What do you like best?

Salesforce best feature is that it is not limited to one thing; it allows you to keep track of your contacts, schedule reminders, post notes, and overall is a great platform to organize your leads and accounts. The platform has a search tool that allows you to quickly and easily search for companies and contacts.

What do you dislike?

It required detailed knowledge of the platform to make the best use of it. You need to give it some time to understand all the features and everything.

Just give it a try, they have a great support team who is ready to assist you 24/7.

Lead Management is one of the main feature that we use. It enables users to keep track of the various stages of their interaction and level of the transaction with their potential clients and customers.

I really love using Salesforce on a daily basis.

What do you like best?

I like the tabs feature that lets you switch and search anywhere, for anything. I also like the notifications, reports and dashboard menus.

What do you dislike?

I just open way too many tabs all at the same time.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It is very user friendly. I love that blue banner on top! I would recommend more customization power to the user. Nothing else!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am very productive at work using Salesforce, especially because it integrates Casemon, our tool for tracking cases.

used this at last job in finance! made using salesforce 'on the go' seamless and protective

What do you like best?

we were very aware that this is the best on the go protection/security - and it did not disappoint, seamless use and the XML-based standard that allows you to communicate authentication decisions between one service and another - its the best!

What do you dislike?

i didn't dislike anything actually...ease of use, great customer support, and great new features added all the time. I don't have a complaint.

this is the best product of its kind - by far - if you're already a salesforce user, it is a no brainer to add this on.

security protocall was completely met - An API for viewing and managing your deployment of Identity features was huge.

What do you like best?

The user interface and setup side of the system are very easy to use.

Keeping up with all the new features can be a challenge, but a major advantage to.
