What do you like best?

1. I like the fact that there is now a single source of truth for our products and our product attributes and that we are leveraging our investment in our ERP system which was quite considerable.

2. In addition, our customers love it. They can see their own real-time individual pricing and availability online and place orders directly through to our ERP system. This eliminates time and effort on our end and empowers customers to make their own decisions and find information at their own leisure.

What do you dislike?

Customising certain things are a little hard if you want your website pixel perfect to your design. However, keeping the design locked and structured also helps as it enforces consistency across the site which is important. This is not necessarily a bad thing.

As we're a B2B company, some customers have decided not to use the system because they only want to use their own ERP system within their business which I can understand. However, having a login to our system available to them if and when they want it future proofs Domus Lighting for when B2B ecommerce becomes more mainstream.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're after an integrated e-commerce solution, we reviewed several other systems and found that this was by far and above the best value for money.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

1. There was no single source of truth for product attributes and data as information was spread across multiple systems and PDFs etcs. With a catalogue of more than 7000 SKUs, this was impossible to maintain effectively.

2. Our old site was non-responsive with a tired looking design. The new site looks great and we've received a lot of positive feedback on it from all our customers.

3. Lastly, we wanted to be able to reduce the traffic of phone calls and emails from customers for enquiries and information that simply wasn't adding value. If customers wanted to look at an old invoice or see an outstanding order, this used to be a cumbersome process. It's not anymore - it's all available in one place in one single view. Allowing our customers to perform these functions online themselves empowers them and they love that.

What do you like best?

The integration with NAV is splendid. Our sales backoffice team needed minimal training, while we were able to setup and run a rather large store in a short time.

All our business administration (customer info, pricing, discounts, catalog) can still be managed in our ERP solution (Dynamics NAV) and is perfectly in sync.

The CMS behind the system is easy enough for beginners to find their way, while it's open enough for advanced users to program more complex stuff.

The attention to detail when it comes to SEO and minimal setup time are a big plus.

Overall a very good E-Commerce solution for any company who uses Dynamics NAV as their ERP.

What do you dislike?

The performance is dependent on the NAV service performance. Which on it's own is not a minus for Sana as a piece of software - It's just something to be aware of- especially for on-premise implementation. This has been addressed in the newest version (9.0) with some kind of caching feature...

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are successfully selling our products on-line with a minimum of change in our existing business processes. Our sales backoffice team is able to handle their orders largely in the same way as before, while we are able to offer additional services to our customers such as 24/7 ordering, real-time availability information, dynamic catalog with real-time insight in complex pricing and discount tables.

What do you like best?

Finding an e-commerce solution that was integrated with AX was tough, until we discovered Sana Commerce. Perfect integration between Microsoft Dynamics and Sana Commerce.

Sana supported our business, this innovation is a success on all fronts.

After a thorough analysis, we have no comment, only positives.

If you want to make progress in e-commerce than Sana Commerce is the ideal partner / product. The company is expecting a substantial sales increase. “If we keep going the way we are now, we’ll have an increase to our overall revenue of more than 25%.”

What do you like best?

The integration with our Dynamics Nav ERP is excellent. Stock availability, customer specific pricing, volume discounts, etc are all administered in NAV only and work great in the Sana webshop.

What do you dislike?

The Backoffice is not really user friendly. Apparently this is much improved in the recent 9.0 release.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We now have automated orders from customers we did not get into contact with previously. No more manual order intake and processing. No more problems with pre payment of orders but all orders from unknown customers are now paid online.
