Flexible and powerful platform with fantastic support services

What do you like best?

We found Selligent to be an incredibly flexible solution with a depth of functionality and capabilities. Now we’re able to leverage data such as product category, purchase history, purchase affinity and interest levels within our content strategy to dynamically personalize all our communication. The platform allowed us to completely revolutionize our email programs and reach our goal to execute 1:1 marketing – and the investment is already paying off with a significant revenue uptick.

We also consider Selligent’s service team to be a true partner for us. I love our account manager. She is always available for our team and supportive of our initiatives and ideas. They not only provide strategic guidance on our campaigns and the use of the platform, but they also go above and beyond to make sure we are successful.

What do you dislike?

As with any platform or service, executing a custom, never-before-done, project can take quite a bit of upfront time investment. The tech service team could ‘ve used some work on translating concepts for non-technical audiences.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The Selligent platform allows us to be more efficient in creating complex and sophisticated campaigns that generate higher engagement rates and increased revenue. And, not only does the platform help us achieve our 1:1 marketing goals, but what really stands out to me is the team and the Selligent service support- I know they have my back and for us that is invaluable!

Excellent all-around ESP, amazing support, and lots of functionalities

What do you like best?

Selligent provides very capable and user-friendly functionalities as an industry leading ESP. Creating a lifecycle email is very easy with their drag and drop interface. Batch and AB test emails are launched without failure. Their platform connects to our EDS very easily and syncing with an IDS is almost painless (just one minor complaint). Email personalization is very easy to set-up with their Content Block feature (need training to understand at first, but very flexible and useful once understood). Their reporting is straight forward, easy to navigate, and flexible. You have the ability to break your mailing down by device, browser, by day, by week, by month, and by year. Additionally, they provide you with overlay reporting, detailed failure reporting, and you can download the raw data so you can do the analytics yourself in excel or SQL. Lastly, they have an awesome support staff. They are very friendly, responsive, and go above and beyond with helping you trouble-shoot any problems.

What do you dislike?

The email template editor can use some work. Doing edits on the fly in the editor can take a lot of time. I suggest using third party websites/software to code your emails and importing the code to the editor.

Dynamic content can be improved with an addition of an IF ELSE statement. Nesting dynamic content logic solves this issue.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Highly recommended because of all the great functionalities and support. More technical users will thrive in this platform as Selligent does a great job with making EDS syncing, targeting, personalization, and executing lifecycle and AB tests very easy. Less technical users will require training.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Sending our Job Alerts and email communication to our list is very easy with Selligent. They take care of the technical work (data storage, IP & reputation monitoring, email validation, etc.) while us marketers can focus on email creation and strategy.

The most flexible platform for 1:1 Communication & Customer Engagement

What do you like best?

The ultimate flexibilty of the platform. Integration possibilities with other systems, user friendlyness and the local partnerships available. Reporting insights are phenomenal!

What do you dislike?

About the platform? None. What I dislike is to explain that the platform is no MailChimplike solution...

Recommendations to others considering the product

Here's the platform you really need to communicate with your customers. It gives you the best insights in how your customers behave. The power of automated campaign flows, segmentation and filter options is the ultimate marketers dream.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

1:1 communication in a split second with all our customers. This saves so much time. By using the Express tool, we are able to create an e-mail campaign in 10 minutes, given that the content is available.

Marketer-friendly, great for custom integrations thanks to open API and flexible data model

What do you like best?

It's a rare combination of cloud solution with flexible data setup. It basically allowed us to migrate from previous campaign management platform within weeks. We simply replicated the same data model we used to have for on-premise installation of other vendor. Even having moved to the cloud, we still have an access to SQL console to understand what happens under the bonnet. Very much appreciated by IT guys. On marketing side: friendly GUI, powerful A/B testing and remarkable delivery speed.

What do you dislike?

Not 100% HTML5 ready. For agencies like ours, who run their business on Apple computers, there is a small challenge while Selligent requires tiny *.exe component to be installed.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We run a few loyalty programs (some with millions of participants) and we really like how easy it is to convert sometimes complicated business logic into actionable lifecycle campaigns. Having completed data integration trainings at Selligent, we really can dive deep into Selligent system tables to extract data needed to control in-store systems and applications. Really powerful combination.

Powerful Application, Great Company

What do you like best?

Excellent testing capabilities (subject line, content testing), very reliable application (up-time, application speed, import speed etc.), excellent support model (great RM, technical/strategic resources, deliverability services), easy to use/powerful reporting, customize roles and permissions, good amount of flexibility with how you set up/use data within the application

What do you dislike?

Dynamic content is very time consuming to build, not as scalable/easy to use as other platforms I've used. Some of the terminology used within the tool can be difficult to grasp. Takes a bit to learn, but in the end it all makes sense.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Requires a bit more training than average, but it is worth the effort. Gives you great control over your programs.

One-Stop-Shop for CRM Campaign/Program Management

What do you like best?

Life-cycle Campaign Management Tool allows the execution of complex, multi-channel campaign flows in a simple drag and drop interface.

Integrates forms and landing pages to allow seamless data flows between website and Message Studio databases.

Open Time Personalization with LiveContent allows for very cool functionality within email templates.

What do you dislike?

Some functionality limitations in the drag and drop features, however these can usually be remedied with SQL coding.

Complete campaign and CRM data management with limited need to involve IT.

Efficiency in campaign execution with templates and multiplicative work flows.

Facilitates multiple sub-organizations with users ranging from novice to campaign and data experts.
