"Frustrating or fine depending on the day"

What do you like best?

The mobile app while not perfect has allowed us to cut down on paper waste which is always nice. It also allows the field technicians to get real time updates regarding changes to their daily schedule. It should be noted, however, that the mobile app does not function very well if you are out of 4G or Wifi range.

Also, there is a very minor learning curve with Servsuite. It is not difficult for a new user to become familiar enough with the software for basic/non administrative use.

What do you dislike?

The reports are terribly inconsistent- if you run two different reports based on the same criteria (ex: Technician Production in a given date range), the two reports will almost certainly yeild different results. Also, many reports do not have appropriate sorting options (like sort by last name, sort by sale date, etc.). The scheduler is also prone to lags and freezes.

The mobile app while promising also has some flaws related to data sync. There have been instances where we have been unable to complete mobile work orders because they do not show up in the mobile management studio despite having been completed by the technician via the mobile app.

Lastly, there are times where we run into an issue and are told it is a programming problem. Once we hear "programming", we instantly become doubtful of said issue ever getting resolved.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would look into PestPac as a more seemless alternative to Servsuite.

Servsuite makes it easy to schedule and do so in an efficient manner. The routing module is especially helpful for scheduling.

"Good service, support could be better, but not too bad."

What do you like best?

Good software, takes some getting used to but overall it works well.

What do you dislike?

Support isn't always as quick to respond or resolve issues as we would like. Also there is some limitation to the data availability and some hoops to jump through in order to get business intelligence developers the information they need to provide analysis and reporting of different key performance indicators.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Look into PestRoutes as well. We're considering switching to them now after over 5 years of using ServSuite. ServSuite is great, but PestRoutes is likely to be better, so if they can offer you a comparable price, I'd probably go that route. Switching for us at this point would be a pain in the arse, but we may need to do that anyway, depending on how these next 6-12 months go for us.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We've been able to grow our pest control from the ground up using this software. We now have over 50,000 regular customers.

"ServSuite-Serving Me Daily"

What do you like best?

ServSuite is very user-friendly and offers a ton of options within the software itself. For example, we use an independent mapping software, but ServSuite offers a mapping software within as well which we will be switching to in the future.

What do you dislike?

There's really nothing bad to say about the program.

Recommendations to others considering the product

ServSuite makes it extremely easy to manage all aspects of customer accounts within one place. Our management team goes to ServSuite University each year, and always comes back telling the rest of us how we use such a small portion of what ServSuite is actually capable of, which is interesting, because I feel like we use it for so much of our work already. It's a great program to consider if you are wanting a one-stop shop software option.

ServSuite makes scheduling, routing, billing, and managing accounts easier. It's nice having all of the needs met within one place.

"Versatile Software but Prone to Bugs"

What do you like best?

You can essentially customize it to fit your needs. We have scaled it considerably with different locations, different service plans and thousands of customers.

What do you dislike?

The mobile app has never operated properly and often fails altogether. The online software generally works but there are quirks and bugs that pop up consistently.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's great for online use but needs a lot of work for mobile use in the field.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use ServSuite as the general hub for our entire business that serves literally thousands of customers . There are dozens of helpful reports you can run. We can access customer information very quickly which is useful when people call in with questions about billing and scheduling.

Overall, we are most satisfied with ServSuite's flexibility and capacity to scale as we grow.

"Some Bugs, But Easy Interface"

What do you like best?

It's pretty easy to learn and navigate, generally very user-friendly. You can pick it up quickly and everything is labeled clearly. The customer service was also very prompt in helping me with a question. I prefer the old search to the new search though.

What do you dislike?

The bugs. There are ghost appointments that show up, the scheduler freezes and has to be reloaded at least twice a day (usually more), and the server often gets bogged down and slows to excruciating slowness.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We generally use it to make appointments and keep service records. I haven't been here long enough to have used the old software as the main system, but I know there are definite improvements over the old system with ServSuite

"Pest control software "

What do you like best?

The scheduling window.

Easy to see multiple service techs.

Easy to move appointments

What do you dislike?

1.Many cracks that allow for user error.

If your not extremely careful you will lose info which in turn is lost revenue.

2. To many steps when entering jobs.

3. CRM is useless

4. No intergration with sales force or other CRM's. Trying to get an API

5. Reporting seldom works,

6. Constant problems when updates occur.

You would figure they would let you know in advance, but usually we find out after the update and then the problems we have.

7. Barcoding is a joke.

8. Terrified to move to the mobile, can't afford the problems that would most likely occur.

9. Overall it looks like a product from the 90's

Not very user friendly

We really just use it as a scheduling program.
