From the start there were several issues with compatibility with Volusion.
The system required a separate login to edit items that were not importing properly. An entirely different set of product codes were created by Shopgate for their system, which made it difficult to find products to edit them in the app. Editing of these items required assistance from customer service, which took a minimum of 3 business days. Some items were never resolved so we removed them from the mobile app.
Our built-in affiliate program would not track and we received many complaints from affiliates not receiving credit.
We had issues with shipping integration. Products were appearing one day and hidden the next.
Our auto-ship options were no longer functional. Since we could not capture credit cards, we had to contact all auto-ship customers and inform them their orders were rejected and required manual overrides. We lost many sales due to this.
None of the actual site content was visible to visitors. With a content-rich site, we received many complaints from customers who were unable to view content.
We invested over $1K to start this up and $300 per month and lost sales.
