"Great tool for using with campaigns for marketing"

What do you like best?

I love being able to use the calendar view for past, current and upcoming marketing campaigns. It's also great to be able to color code different categories. It was a great way to put campaigns into a digestible view for other departments to see what we were doing.

We didn't use it for other objects, but it was awesome that you could use it to see Opportunities closing, or other custom objects via date as well. I always wanted to scale it out to that but didn't get there before leaving the company I was with at the time.

What do you dislike?

The printing feature. I haven't used this app in a while, but it was always difficult to print. I wished it would have printed like it looked on the screen.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's a great tool that puts your records into a calendar view to be able to analyze data. It's a great Salesforce appexchange tool to use.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Visibility to marketing campaigns for other departments. This also helped us in marketing plan our campaigns. You could drag and drop them around to changed the start and end dates without having to go into the record. It made planning and updating campaigns a lot more efficient.

"What the Native Salesforce Calendar Should Be."

What do you like best?

CalendarAnything is a must-have addition to any business that's serious about implementing business processes in Salesforce that involve scheduling. It effectively replicates many of the standard UI elements native to Salesforce and creates an effective, intuitive and feature-rich calendar interface.

What do you dislike?

This application has a slew of configuration that can be achieved through customized extensions in visualforce, however it's poorly documented and incomplete. An implementation I was a part of required working directly with the product contact at Silverline to achieve the functionality I needed. It was all possible, but not intuitive and not fully documented.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I implemented this tool to provide timeline view capability for demand management of order backlog in a manufacturing environment. I also implemented it for scheduling software product demos in a cold calling environment.

"Great tool to put any object on a calendar"

What do you like best?

I like being able to create a calendar of any Standard or Custom object in Salesforce and then we can share that calendar with anyone!

What do you dislike?

It's a bit difficult to customize the calendars especially if you are trying to do a custom Visualforce page.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you have an Admin or Developer that knows their way around Visualforce unless you are doing a basic install

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Letting all reps see each others calendars and not just tasks and events but any object.

"One of the better calendar applications"

What do you like best?

Provides a lot of flexibility in combining and filtering custom objects and allows for the creation of multiple role based calendars that be used permanently or for specific periods.

What do you dislike?

Calendar and/or user settings sometimes need to be manually created

Recommendations to others considering the product

go for it

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We used calendar anywhere to quickly and easily provide visual schedules for our ad planners and inventory managers. Filtering the different record status can truly speed up production.

"Bringing visibility and ease to task and event management"

What do you like best?

Easy drag and drop of tasks. Users can change all of their task due dates within the calendar and not have to go into each record.

What do you dislike?

only one owner per calendar. Our administrator just left the company and it was a pain to make sure we handed over all of the calendars

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Engineering task management of over 60 engineers

"Powerful, robust CRM calendar tool that provides a "wow factor""

What do you like best?

CalendarAnything is the most flexible and robust calendar tool on the AppExchange. It allows easy calendar visualization of just about any data in Salesforce, supports both standard and custom objects and is packed full of features like custom filters, conditional coloring, dynamic calendars, printing, sharing and exposing to the web. The UI is very intuitive and is similar to Google Calendars. It is very simple to admin as well.

With the latest release (Winter '13 at the time of this writing), the feature set has doubled over Spring '12. They're constantly adding new features based on the requests of their customers and prospects.

What do you dislike?

It carries a nominal fee, which means it's only worth it if you can justify spending money. Otherwise, other less powerful but free apps might do.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you have a need to visualize Salesforce data as a calendar, for instance, marketing campaigns, case management, customer service, or sales lifecycle, CalendarAnything is worth a look. It's flexible enough to meet most use cases, whether within the sales or service cloud, or for a custom app. Installation and config is a breeze, and you'll be up and running in no time. Also, support is very prompt and helpful if you have questions.

"Interesting Calendar Concept"

What do you like best?

What a great way to look at a calendar page for a whole month and see what opportunities are scheduled to close that month. Better yet, you can then add your appointments, holidays, and anything else that has a date in salesforce. It's name says it all .. Calendar Anything.

What do you dislike?

The price, right now, seems to be the only part that I don't like yet. The concept is great, and I being a visual world today, this is great, but I just don't see the ROI just yet. The reason for me only giving it a 8 is due to the price.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Try out the 15 day free trial and see how powerful this can really be .. I don't think you will be very disappointed.
