"Simple and powerfull enough"

What do you like best?

Slackel comes with its extra repository (not just Slackware-Current) and all the nice Salix tools for easily configuring everything. You can also install Slackel in a USB stick (persistent installation), which is great for a portable, up-to-date GNU/Linux installation. There are two window manager/desktop flavors by default (KDE and Openbox), but you can easily install any other flavor you like.

What do you dislike?

Not much in their Gslapt package manager. No UFW firewall.

Recommendations to others considering the product

A very light and strong distribution. The installer on the live CD is one of the fastest and easiest ever tested on a Linux operating system. The repository is based on Slackware current and make the system truly updated on the latest versions of the programs. A great distro without Systemd, based on the KISS principles and Unix-like solidity and simplicity.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Slackel is one of the best Linux distros that I've ever experimented. A great O S.
