"Excellent Search / Navigation. Can do SO MUCH with them!"

What do you like best?

How flexible they are. Plus so easy to work with. From subdomain, to API integration. I always know they will be able to work with what I want to do. Really nice too is not getting nickel and dime treatment when I want to do a new project.

What do you dislike?

Different time zones always is a challenge when east coast vs. west coast. That's going to happen though with just about any technology company you work with it seems.

Hard to find such a robust service run by 'go getters.'

Having top-notch search and navigation on our site. Also a having a product finder for people to find Exactly what they need from us fast.

"Great product with great results "

What do you like best?

The console is very easy to navigate and is very intuitive. All out of the box features are very useful. Our ecomm team is very small and I am the only merchandiser for 7 websites. I have not had very much time to go in and get real familiar with all aspects of the product. With that said it has pretty much been on set it and forget mode for a few years and we have had great results

The search results page and being able to tune certain keywords is very helpful. In the space my business is in it is very esoteric so being able to tune results is key to making sure the customer is finding what they need

"Long Time User of SLI"

What do you like best?

SLI is one of those companies that are at the forefront of their field. Instead of simply providing a service, they submerse themselves in it. They're happy to make suggestions as to where to improve based off what's working in the industry. They constantly push the envelope and never say "no" to a feature request or enhancement. As a client, you get the feeling they actually want you to succeed, as opposed to some vendors who are content to simply collect your money.

What do you dislike?

It seems like the quality of the reps has slipped slightly over the pas few years. It may just be our luck, but our original rep was one of the best I've ever worked with.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Changing a site search can be a huge undertaking. I'd recommend considering SLI, regardless of the type of content you're looking to index and search.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Via SLI, we're providing relevant results to our searching users. We've been through several iterations of various site search solutions, and SLI has performed the best so far.

"Excellent Search Platform"

What do you like best?

-Responsiveness of the SLI team

-Effectiveness of the SLI search platform

What do you dislike?

Rolling 30 day reports - our team does not like the rolling 30 day report. We prefer to see reports that match up with the way we do reporting.

On additional thing the team has been frustrated with has been resolved quickly by the SLI team. We were seeing "Enter Your Search Term" in our reports. It was quickly resolved.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are considering a site search solution, SLI is definitely one of the top platforms. We continue to evaluate other options and always come back to SLI.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SLI to optimize the search results on our ecommerce web sites. Using SLI our team is able to merchandise the search results so our customers see the best possible results.

"Great Service"

What do you like best?

They are very open to our custom, unique business needs and are willing to implement custom software to help better us.

What do you dislike?

User interface is not as efficient as it can be. We have a large database that takes a long time to "scroll" through, it'd be great to search for where to place banners.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The nature of our business is a customer who hears a song on the radio, loves it, and wants to play it. SLI helps us to get the song a user is looking for to them faster.

"SLI is our favorite vendor"

What do you like best?

The relationship I have with my customer success manager, Keri. She is very knowledgeable of our business and is always willing to work above and beyond. She is creative in helping find us the best solutions to serve our customers better and I feel like she is an extended member of our team.

What do you dislike?

The new ticketing system is not very user friendly. The order of comments is confusing and I have two websites but the tickets are no longer separated by site.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Mobile optimizations- filtering with in PLP's. The access we have to the engineers to help us optimize our mobile websites is great. We are limited in house with IT resources, so this allows us to optimize our websites in a timely manner.

"helped improve conversions, and all around good people"

What do you like best?

1. Lightning fast search - Results are returned extremely quickly. We moved to SLI after essentially out growing our in-house solution. We have nearly 600,000 products on our site and our in-house tools we're not as fast as we would have liked. Also helps that SLI is serving these pages, so it removes some of the load from our servers.

2. Multiple options for displaying autocomplete items like queries and even product suggestions. This is something we didn't have the ability to display with our in house solution and has helped with conversion rates.

3. Ability to create facets and filters for just about anything.

4. Great customer service - Our account manager is very responsive and typically acknowledges new tickets within a few minutes during normal business hours. The simple act of acknowledging the ticket helps as we're not wondering if it's been seen

What do you dislike?

1. HTTPS is not currently available for search result pages. Hopefully this will change at some point in the near future as it's becoming more and more common for ecommerce sites to run entirely on https.

2. We're not currently using their learning/ranking algorithm when displaying results, but this is mainly because our products are very niche and long tail. That said, they were able to import and use our own ranking algorithm which is actually a plus.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our previous solution (in house) had issues with speed, the ability to apply filters to results, and limited autocomplete options. SLI does a great job with all of these. We had not even thought about showing potential products while the customer is in the process of typing our their search, but upon adding this feature with SLI we realized that it provided a measurable lift in conversion.

"Better than a typical site search"

What do you like best?

SEO benefits, Easy to use control panel, good reports

What do you dislike?

Complicated integration process unless using a sub-domain.

Setup with a proxy instead of a sub-domain. It will be a harder integration but will have SEO benefits.

When we switched to a new ecomm platform the built in site search was horrible and provided a poor UX. We need a better solution and decided that SLI could provide that for us.

"Poor Partnershiping"

What do you like best?

Rich Auto complete functionality is the strongest element of this integration

What do you dislike?

Overstatement of machine learning capabilities, customer and technical support, effort required to sync to SLI, limited to product search vs full site search, lack of engagement from account reps, no quarterly or yearly review

Improve search functionality for mobile and desktop. Algorithm based vs manual update. Benefit is a cleaner user experience.

"A search that really learns"

What do you like best?

The SLI dashboard is really easy to use.

What do you dislike?

Synonyms can be a hassle to set up and it can take some time to fully tune SLI to your liking

"Great Search!"

What do you like best?

We really appreciate the consistency and thoroughness of the search.

What do you dislike?

I'm not happy with the reporting. I'm never able to match their reported clicks to Google Analytics. It's disconcerting to see the number of billable clicks increase while Google reports fewer site visits and actions.

We brought SLI onboard because we suffered from "Search but not find"

What do you like best?

The customer service is outstanding. When learning how to use this tool, they were always very helpful. The thing I like the best is the dashboard and all of the information it displays. Very fast and easy to learn how to use.

What do you dislike?

The fact that it is not as customizable as I was hoping, thinking it would be. Wish there was some more flexibility.

Automated reporting is a bit weak and inconsistently delivered.

What do you like best?

The level of customer service is amazing. We have over 1 million SKUs in hundreds of categories, and we needed a good bit of custom solutions to get things where we wanted them.

What do you dislike?

The system is not perfect for all cases, but I can't say I dislike the system, it merely has room for improvement.
