"Terrific tool for effective media management and collaboration"

What do you like best?

Slope makes collaborating on video creation and production a snap. Time stamping videos with comments that can be "threaded" is an incredible feature and downloading final video files is as easy as literally clicking a button.

What do you dislike?

There's not a lot to complain about! Sometimes my notifications don't seem to clear, and it might cause confusion about what videos have yet to be addressed. But it hasn't created any issues for me.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you feel overwhelmed, disorganized, and bogged down with your media projects, Slope will help streamline your responsibilities and make it effortless to collaborate with others.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As someone who works in digital marketing, video content is where engagement is at right now. We've constantly got videos coming in for social campaigns, events highlights, recruitment efforts, etc. Having all these assets in one place where our entire team can access, provide input, and discuss creative direction in real time is invaluable.

"Thanks for Making My Creative Workload 10x Easier to Manage!"

What do you like best?

Slope is an awesome tool for not only keeping me on task with the many creative projects that our team takes on, but in helping to keep all of the feedback we receive organized and accessible in one convenient location. The platform eliminates what would otherwise be lengthy email chains, sometimes from several different individuals, by creating a dedicated space for those conversations to live. Additionally, I love that I can look back on the archived progression and/or evolution of our pieces as we move them from the draft stage to the final product.

What do you dislike?

There are some file formats that don't always 'play well' with the platform, which can at times render the annotation feature (another one of my favorite capabilities!) somewhat useless. However, our biggest problem tends to be with notifications/emails going out to our partners getting misdirected to spam or getting blocked by their servers entirely (but Brian is always great about helping us get these issues resolved promptly!).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Marketing has recently gone through the process of restructuring our team. As a result, all creative inquiries (graphic design projects primarily) are more or less processed by one, dedicated individual. Being that individual, I was met with the challenge of have to organize project details and meet due dates for 3x more requests than I was accustomed to. With this increased volume of projects to manage, we knew we needed a solution to keep us on task and Slope has been that solution. We love how organized it keeps our project timelines as well as the feedback associated with them!

"Convenient way to get clients onboard and into our editing pipeline. "

What do you like best?

Being able to share a project with health care companies knowing it's a secure platform is a huge sell for us.

What do you dislike?

We do a bunch of multimedia projects and at the current moment Slope isn't the best way for us to share galleries of images or batches of design files. Great for video but not great for photography.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're able to onboard new clients and get immediate feedback through Slope which has reduced our administrative costs over the short amount of time that we've been on the platform. Plus, every client has their own digital delivery system and instead of them needing to learn a whole complex application, we can get a client up and running within a day and our clients have really appreciated having a central place for them to collect feedback.

"Best solution we've found for reviewing video assets from start to finish."

What do you like best?

Below are the best features of Slope:

-being able to leave feedback and have a time stamp associated with it

-having all comments on the right and being able to reply to comments as an admin

-having all feedback in one software, easy to read and follow and everyone can see the feedback

-versioning which allows to show the progression and history of a video project

What do you dislike?

For what we use it for there's nothing I dislike about the software. It works!

Recommendations to others considering the product

Slope offers a free trial just like any other software company. If you need to review video or creative assets within a team and stakeholders, this is a great tool.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're centralizing all the feedback and versions of our video projects from initial rough cut all the way to final version.

"Easy-to-use tool for all things teamwork! "

What do you like best?

The best thing about Slope is that each process is super stream-lined, so even those not directly involved in the creative process can give their feedback through the platform, thus eliminating back and forth emails where details and crit would often slip through for larger projects.

What do you dislike?

At times the e-mail notifications for Slope will not give complete details, so it's much easier to keep the program open when checking notifications.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Communication and a stream-lined creative process--previously it was hard for us to 1) keep track of project processes and 2) have everyone involved in the project able to leave their crit in a space where everyone else can see their commentary. Slope provides us with a platform to keep track of everything for every project, and to even see where each person is in the process.

"Ideal for Wrangling Stakeholders"

What do you like best?

We've used Slope to support our increased output of storytelling videos around our projects and programs. It is ideal for ensuring that multiple stakeholders get a chance to review and comment on the content. It is also a quickly evolving platform. Each time we wish for a new feature it is added.

What do you dislike?

As with any new platform, driving adoption among individuals who aren't creating or reviewing content regularly need to remember how to login and use it.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have many stakeholders across the organization and coordinating reviews, especially with video, was a hassle. Slope created a central location and process for reviewing.

"Just a better way to run creative projects"

What do you like best?

1) Versioning eliminates the need for a kajillion Basecamp tasks.

2) The ability to comment directly on graphic design is so key. Before we had to call meetings to review.

3) Comments stick with the content versions, they don't disappear like with Google Docs.

What do you dislike?

The way the titles are displayed sometimes makes it hard to tell different tasks apart. Little UI issues like that.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Realize that not everyone needs to be someone you pay for -- the reviewers don't cost anything.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Saving a ton of time.

Not losing track of things like I did in Basecamp.

Happier colleagues because we're more on the same page.

"My experience with slope has been pleasant "

What do you like best?

Ease of multiple project scope and accessibility, makes communication with a team of any size 1000% more efficient.

What do you dislike?

No dedicated app yet. UI is a bit clunky and there is work to be done in the realm of notifications and alerts.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Try it out. There might be some adjustments to workflow but the end game is a pretty fluid system in which projects and tasks rarely, if ever, fall through the cracks.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Easy to field and implement feedback, really awesome tool to keep track of projects at a particular time in its lifespan and refer back retroactively.

"Makes the content production process so much easier and organized. "

What do you like best?

Stage tracker, version control, proofing

What do you dislike?

I wish there were integrations with slack and box.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Content production is streamlined and organized. Reduces the headache of keeping track of multiple versions of content, leaving feedback, and keeping track of deliverables. All team members are accountable, approval is easy to request and give, and it's easy to see when each deliverable is due. Slope keeps the team on track, organized, saves us time, and keeps all our content projects in a central place (instead of being scattered all over in email, google docs, vimeo, slack, box, dropbox, etc.)
