"Cut your development time in half"

What do you like best?

Snaplogic offers an intuitive interface for developers to build scalable, hybrid integration systems quickly and efficiently. The Designer's "Data Preview" features gives you insight into document state as it moves through the data stream allow you to focus on the data and not the programming to build your integrations.

What do you dislike?

A CD/CI process would be great moving integrations to Production more easily.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Snaplogic's clean, modern UI, their JSON-first approach to data pipelines and their minimal requirements for setup on-prem or off, clearly make it a leader in the iPaaS market.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

IAM onboarding tasks are now handled by Snaplogic iPaaS as new employees are hired in Workday. Also, legacy finance systems are all able to share data with our primary Finance and Payroll systems allowing for centralized reporting and and analytics.

Lacking maturity in support system - not all support engineers are adept

Stability after Quarterly Deployment Windows is not consistent

Need the true 24*7*365 availability of platform including Release Windows

Complex Integrations require some work arounds

Recommendations to others considering the product

Watch out if you have a number of legacy systems which have non-conventional methods of integration. they can prove to be a pain to blend with SnapLogic as this platform is very REST/Streaming oriented. Be sure to evaluate your current business needs in terms of availability requirements with what the platform offers.

"One of the best elastic integration tool. Zero coding"

What do you like best?

Its a pleasure that I have been working in snaplogic integration tool. It simply awesome and its reduced log of coding effort and improve our number of deliverable on /before the deadline. Its a great tool to work with.

What do you dislike?

Whenever new releases get launched, platform is noticeably behaving weird for 2 - 3 days. I could see Snaplogic Dev team is constantly looking. but during the time, business users are getting worst experience in terms of performance and errors. Hope the downtime or bug solving will be reduced in the future

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

* We are replacing informatica jobs with Snaploigc

* Seamless data flow between various data sources AWS-SAP-Oracle Onprem-Vectorwise and SFDC etc

* Dashboard is great, can trace the logs and parameter.

* Alerts & Notifications very useful for Admins and We are regularly using these features whenever we moved the changes to production. So that other team can notified. Its great feature.

"Adequate but not there yet"

What do you like best?

The simplicity. Enabling our team to build integration solutions in SnapLogic been very easier compared to other tool. The learning curve is quite small.

Its modern. We didn't find the baggage of ESB/ETL with snaplogic. Its a fresh thinking of integration solution and it works most of the cases.

What do you dislike?

Support. Coming from the coding background, I can see there are issues, for instance SFTP connections are not optimal and its the most used connection while we deal with bulk and batch data processing. The support team response were very primitive, they are not able to identify the issue even pointed at the right direction. Since this is fairly new product there are bugs when you go deeper, the support team are not skilled.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The tool helps 80 to 90% of straight forward integration requirements. But things gets complicated when you have complex requirements. There are bugs (like any other product), be cautious if your requirements are complex.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Integrations which falls under bulk or batch data integrations.

"Integration for the masses"

What do you like best?

The simplicity of the interface and the intuitive design. I have never used this tool before and was able to build a production quality integration in less than a day. It also handles the flow of documents seamlessly and using json as the native vehicle to move the data is great. Native connector and bulk loading into Snowflake is awesome!

What do you dislike?

There may be some challenges on the infrastructure side with the number of agents you need to run.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure that you consider the pricing model and how it compares to their competitors. Also think about the ease of use and the amount of configuration that is required in the tool. When comparing just think to yourself, should it require this many clicks? Snap is a breeze but others are a configuration nightmare.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were building from an api enabled app and flowing data in Snowflake.

"Transforming a PowerCenter power user"

What do you like best?

I like the visuals and the ease of inserting most snaps.

What do you dislike?

The mapper is a little hard to deal with until you get used to it. It would be nice to be able to capture values from document to document (collect counts and create variables to drive embedded business logic).

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make use of the community, the documentation, and the product support group!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are defining and creating integrations between multiple cloud platforms. The time to implement these integrations and the ramp up speed for the product have been pretty awesome.

"Great iPaaS Product"

What do you like best?

With a whole collection of snaps; connecting to different systems is a breeze be it in the cloud or on-premise. The complexity of connection and interface is hidden from the user but it allows you to create pipelines and data integrations very easily.

What do you dislike?

SnapLogic as a product is maturing and there are a few kinks in the interface for example when using a mapper snap, if you want to re-order your data ports then dragging and dropping them works but then you need to do it in multiple steps. So if you have a mapper with 100+ ports then re-ordering is a bit of pain.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Currently using SnapLogic to integrate Mainframe data with Salesforce which is going to serve as an Applicant Portal.

Snaplogic is an easy tool to understand and be productive on in days instead of years

What do you dislike?

The navigation when switching from Designer, Manager and Dashboard requires 3 tabs to be open on your browser. Just a little cumbersome.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Ability to quickly develop pipelines and provide self service BI capabilities. We are able to product data integration in a much more agile method and reuse pipeline logic with various targets based on user demand.

"Great platform for hybrid cloud and on premise integrations"

What do you like best?

Speed of development and deployment are key advantages for SnapLogic. The platform and features set are enabling us to perform advanced integration patterns quickly and efficiently. We are currently implementing an integration between multiple sites in China and have been able to leverage the platform and it's features to greatly minimize the number of artifacts. The design pattern is reusable, and will be a critical part of our successes going forward.

What do you dislike?

I wish there was a self service interface for setting up and configuration of Snaplex's.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Take an opportunity to understand their core platform design. It will enable you to leverage the platform more fully. The fact that data coming onto the platform becomes a JSON document can dramatically change how you manage your integration project for the better.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have geographically distributed manufacturing sites and limited control on the method of access to our computing resources at each site. We have been able to break that barrier and improve the quality, cadence, and veracity of our data.

"Data Integration in the Cloud"

What do you like best?

It is ETL in the cloud. Version 4 has come a long way in making it easy to grab data from anywhere, transform it, and deposit it at the correct destination. It takes the pain out of many data transformation tasks that would be otherwise difficult to develop. It’s easy to call a pipeline from other software applications. The support staff is knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful. There are many SnapPacks (connectors to other products).

What do you dislike?

It’s quirky – you need to know how to use things that are not very intuitive. The documentation is inferior - each component is explained, but it's hard to know how to put them together so they work as a whole. The UI requires a LOT of clicking and mousing around, which is difficult (and painful) at times – it’s not keyboard-friendly at all.

Recommendations to others considering the product

They are going in the right direction, but the software is not foolproof yet. They have taken a big leap forward with their latest software version (4.0), and their support is terrific. I don't know of anything else out there as flexible and cloud-friendly. If you need out-of-the-box connectivity to a cloud-based service, this is a no-brainer. If you need legacy connectivity, it has that too. If you need sophisticated data cleansing, you will need to configure that yourself. I have been using SnapLogic for several years, and it continually gets better and more feature-rich.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are importing data from hundreds of different sources, some cloud-based and some on-premise. SnapLogic handles both with ease. We can quickly add a new data source with its unique format. There are pre-built SnapPacks that allow you to integrate to systems (e.g. Workday, SalesForce, NetSuite, Twitter) easily.

What do you like best?

- Cloud software requires no internal footprint.

- Scales automatically

- Extremely fast development time lines, (Fail Fast)

- Strong customer support when needed

- Engineers to help co-develop (for a fee) when needed

What do you dislike?

-Version 3 (we recently upgraded to 4) was a tad imature

- Even V4 takes some time for the average person to become proficent. Its not something just any analyst can pick up quickly

Recommendations to others considering the product

Skip the conversation and just try it. In less than a week you will know if its a fit. Zero cost to test and no install makes it easy.

"SnapLogic"

What do you like best?

Very simple and effecient for easy cloud based data integrations.

What do you dislike?

Lots of bugs, they are trying too push too much out with a huge gap in quality control. Customer service is good but they are still trying to get a footing in the data integration world. My number one caution.. Don't fall for the marketing and or false promises. They promote their platform as "no IT required" but buyer beware. They have a lot of "show" and have huge potential but providing a reliable and stable product should be their priority.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I highly recommend you put aside the sales pitch and leverage an initial trial period with this product.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tried to use it as an ETL tool when it is not designed for ETL. If you are leveraging cloud based solutions with true cloud based APIs then SnapLogic might fit the bill

"snapLogic - True cloud integration platform"

What do you like best?

- No installation overhead - everything is cloud based

- Very easy to start building pipelines and services using there pre existing snaps

- Scales very nicely based on the demand

- Groundplex is very useful when you have to work with snap's inside the firewall

What do you dislike?

- The generic web service snap is useful but not so easy to use

- Logging is not granular on some of the snaps including the generic web service. No way to see what data is going out and how its being formatted.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have used snapLogic to create some services using out of the box snaps. The speed with which we were able to get these services up and running is amazing.
