Get your Innovation program a step further!

What do you like best?

Our current program used to rely on spreadsheets and access database. Moving to Spigit allowed us to become more efficient and automate our process.

It gives a very nice visibility to all submissions, and encourages users to collaborate, like a social media platform

What do you dislike?

We would like to see easier ways of exporting ideas. Currently, Spigit leverages a 3rd party vendor . We would like that our users search in their tool and export their results.

We would like to have clearer visual for category moderators: our program gets a lot of ideas so when you have very large numbers, it'S easy to lose track on what's on your plate. You then need to use the reports provided by the 3rd party, build your own dashboards, etc

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are bringing visibility to our ideas (our users complained the program wasn't transparent), which in return decreases our duplicated submissions

It improves our process time

A complete platform

What do you like best?

I have looked at several innovation/idea management platforms, and so far Spigit seems to stand out as the most complete platform. I like the over all simplicity and robustness. We were able to quick implement SSO and set up our challenges.

What do you dislike?

The user interface looks a bit dated and can use a new refreshed look. Being able to add your branding is good, but that part can be more feature-rich. The user permissions and a mix of SSO/form-login for a wide mix of end users would be beneficial too.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you have a good strategy and goal before making a platform decision. It requires a lot of financial and time investment to roll out an idea management software

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Spigit is our primary idea management platform. We have a large group of talented people with many technical/non-technical backgrounds. It is vital for us to ensure that we are capturing ideas from everyone and applying these ideas timely and effectively.

Fabulous Experience

What do you like best?

I personally love the way that Spigit has developed a clear process for leveraging your crowd. While there are some aspects that are customizable, the standard Spigit approach works really well. I love the ability to pull reports and get a clear picture of how to create an amazing experience for our end users. When first launching, Spigit provided great support and helped us navigate and we've really gone from strength to strength as a result. The support team are quick and really do whatever they can to sort out any issues timeously. I also really appreciate their openness to feedback (based on the user experience) and how they will endeavour to make those changes on the platform. Makes it feel like we're all working together for the best crowd-sourcing platform (they practice what they preach:))

What do you dislike?

There are some pieces that are cumbersome and difficult to navigate (can't be customized). They are still new so getting all the algorithms right can only come with time (i.e. Pairwise).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Currently looking for ways to clear the clutter, create the ultimate customer experience, build on the culture. We've had some really excellent feedback from business with a "surprise" response in terms of engagement from the business areas. People are really enjoying it and love the "fun" that comes with participating in challenges.

Don't even try and do crowd sourced innovation on a big scale without Spigit

What do you like best?

It just works. People love using it. It solves the problem, not just of finding ideas, but the much bigger problem of finding the best ideas.

What do you dislike?

There's probably too much functionality that I've never used.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Look beyond the problem of engaging people to find ideas. There's a million ways of doing that - Spigit is very good at it, but its core capability which you shouldn't underestimate is the job of sifting the good from the not so good ideas.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Two problems: engaging people, involving them in change which we measure by the number of people we can get participating. We've exceeded 25% of employees on each challenge. Depending on the nature of the challenge, we choose ideas based on the ROI which can be calculated in Spigit.

Secondly, solving tricky problems by finding ideas from the front-line. Here the ROI is likely to be far more important.

Spigit crowdsourcing stramlines our connection to the frontline, to generate sustainable solutions.

What do you like best?

Spigit provides unparallelled support and community of practice for progam administrators. They also practice what they teach; always making improvements based on customer input.

What do you dislike?

We tend to be one of few customers in Canada, I am looking forward to a more local community to collaborate with as Spigit expands futher throughout western Canada.

Using the Spirit Platform will definitely take you innovation program to the next level

We have run a variety of challenges, from training suggestions to process improvement & solutions for strategically aligned business problems . We have seen benefits in time savings, elimination of errors, reducing client wait times, and cost avoidance, and cost savings.I n addition the use of spigit has lead to an increase in employee engagement.

Spigit is very user friendly with a fantastic support team

What do you like best?

Spigit's support team is phenomenal. They are so quick to get back to you with a response whether solved or not and are great to work with you to solve your issues. Also, the team as a whole is great. Andreanna Romano has regular check ins to make sure that we are still progressing, any new tips, and also helps if we are having any issues.

What do you dislike?

There were a couple of bugs with the update, we are awaiting fixes for, but this is really minor.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are tapping into our customer knowledge in real time that when employees have customer visits, they can enter their ideas in for others to see instantly and collaborate on a solution. Our always open challenge also invites employees to enter their own ideas for new products or improvements. We have 5 ideas that have moved into our stage-gate process and many that are seriously being evaluated. We have had other challenges in other organizations and more in the pipeline, with the challenges being diverse.
