"Tremendous way to enhance an in-person conference with a digital companion"

What do you like best?

The SpotMe team and technology platform was an innovative digital ad-on to an international medical conference that was organized annually. It allowed for slick-looking companion content like faculty bios, interactive agendas, live Q&A, and new ways of visualizing audience sentiment to be incorporated into the agenda.

What do you dislike?

The most challenging part is that SpotMe offered many new technological enhancements that we weren't able to use or incorporate due to tough regulatory and compliance rules that prevented this.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Adding a fun, futuristic twist to attending a live conference or symposia that actually provides useful content, useful interactivity, and useful insights in a way that's fun for both the users and the organizers.

"Fantastic customer service with great innovative ideas!"

What do you like best?

I was very impressed with the initial briefing process in terms of what SpotMe could do for us. They were quick to align an account person to us who was very proactive, engaging and great at challenging us in our objectives and able to provide the best solutions for our needs. Nothing was too much trouble and uploading a lot of our App content upfront really helped us to meet our deadlines and take the pressure off what we needed to deliver. Our account project manager effectively became an extended part of our team, working and collaborating with us seamlessly. When one of our events was taking place during her annual leave, she left contact details for us to contact us and encouraged us to regardless to ensure they delivered a high quality service. The whole process has been clean, efficient, friendly, collaborative, innovative and extremely good value for money.

What do you dislike?

Absolutely nothing. Great price, great customer service, great innovation and great delivery to time. Would thoroughly recommend the team.

Would absolutely recommend and have done to others within my company.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The capabilities that the different App components can offer are vast and really visual and engaging. My only regret is that we couldn't use more of the interactive components available to us due to the size of our audience - it was too small to really realise the value it could offer.

"Digital collaboration designer"

What do you like best?

We have been very late to design the content of our brainstorming and the SpotMe onsite team has made an outstanding job to implement our specific forms linked to PDFs.

Being able alos to rent iPad pros through SpotMe was also very confortable.

What do you dislike?

I would have liked to be able to upload some specific brainstorming templates in the app, in order to be able to work the exact same way we are used to during our brainstormings.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Even if the app is very flexible and allow last minute changes, If you want custom development to be made, do not wait until the last minute.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We had a very large audience who had to work on several topics during the seminar. The app helped us to have flawless logistics, by providing a personalized agenda and push notifications to the participants. Spotme also helped us to collect data in a convenient way to design our client's new strategy.

What do you like best?

- Onsite support (Edouard Vincet made everything possible in an amazingly short amount of time)

- activity features of app (voting questions and word cloud)

What do you dislike?

Would be nice if one could vote for questions with stars (on a bard) instead of ticking on of the five bars that are listed below each other

Plan your event early and don't try to squeeze the app into your predefined agenda. Plan your agenda and simultaneously think about how you could integrate the app and/or how you could use tha app to make the event more interactive and digital.

Also, think about your target group and whether you might need to explain a few things beforehand.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

- transmit a more digital image to let our stakeholders know that we are living in times of changes and that there was a strong need to transform (become more digital)

- make interaction as well as organization of activities easier (for participants as well as the organizational team)

"Brilliant!"

What do you like best?

The simplicity of the whole process; from first contact, to working with the SpotMe team on the design, to the app itself! Our account manager was proactive, organised and full of fantastic ideas. Her training sessions on how to use the back-end of the app at the start of the process were detailed and engaging - there was no such thing as a silly question! She was great at challenging us on what we thought we wanted, and suggesting alternatives. Her organisation was excellent; acting like an extended member of our team and keeping us on track. No request was ever too much trouble! The app we ended up with was really brilliant, and very well received by our event delegates.

What do you dislike?

I can't think of anything. The whole process has just been fantastic and straightforward. The idea of creating an app from scratch is quite daunting, but SpotMe made it manageable.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Backstage is confusing at the start, but having tutorials with your Account Manager is invaluable and gets you up to speed quickly!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We used the app to support an event. The app became an invaluable tool in connecting our delegates, allowing us to send them messages and provide event information, as well as share content from the day. It simplified and condensed a wide variety of essential information into one easy to use access point.

"Superb Support from Monica Ganeva and Silvia Triverio"

What do you like best?

SpotMe has great products but the products aren’t any good if they don’t have great technical support folks for us to work with. In particular, Monica has been instrumental for helping me to learn how to configure the platform for my organisation’s use. I should also mention that she has been very timely in her response and accurate in interpreting my questions.

What do you dislike?

I cannot qualify this as a ‘delike’ as it pertains more to my needs than what SpotMe had planned for. It will be great if SpotMe can consider allowing participants to upload and exchange documents in time to come.

Recommendations to others considering the product

SpotMe is the go-to app if you are looking for either a community platform or an events platform. It works in almost every country (including China).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am using SpotMe to facilitate community building and supporting learning activities with my folks. It works well but people are hampered by inability to exchange learning docs.

"Excellent, Extremely organised and practive"

What do you like best?

Audrey was extremely efficient and proactive when coming into the forum. The app was populated by our event organiser and it wasn't up to standard. Audrey designed the whole of the agenda from ground up the day prior to ensure it was ready for the first day, throughout the week she was proactive it solving problem and creating solutions. All of the tech worked perfectly with out internet and AV systems. It is safe to say that Audrey saved the conference and enabled it to be completed smoothly and went above and beyond her job description.

What do you dislike?

One comment for improvement would be how Audrey refers to people that are in the room. A few times it was inappropriate to refer to someone as "he" or "she" when they are sat next to them. Apart from that Audrey was amazing to work with!

We realised with the full help of SpotMe in creating these apps it can really make a conference and allow the delegates to make the most out of their experience. SpotMe's expertise were amazing and really made the conference work to its highest potential.

What do you like best?

Spotme is a comprehensive and highly customizable solution that caters to the needs of event organizers and participants alike. Whether used for plenary sessions, breakout sessions or logistical information, the device is a one-stop-shop for any requirements ahead, during or after the event. The Spotme team is always flexible and professional, working hand-in-hand with the organization teams and is open to adjustments and changes until the last minute. Whenever we are working with Spotme on an event, I feel that I am in good hands.

What do you dislike?

There are very few things I dislike about Spotme. Perhaps some areas of improvement could be adding more interactive features for plenary sessions (in addition to the word cloud, polling and Q&A), offering various modules for interactive sessions (in addition to the Deep Dive) and enabling video on interactive feeds.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have recently worked with Spotme to implement brainstorming workshops for clients to produce tangible outputs and a roadmap for their yearly strategy. In addition, sending clients post-event items and materials, and having the option to follow-up, even weeks after the meeting, generates a true sense of engagement and responsibility among delegates.

"Unnecessarily Frustrating"

What do you like best?

How easy it is to change data in the app, user friendly in-app experience, responsiveness of main SpotMe PoC

What do you dislike?

-The app is so glitchy!!!! Something that works one session session will not work the next session and it takes so much time to fix functionality that at one time worked flawlessly

-Long time clients get screwed bc as the app is updated the old packages you built your programs in are disabled and/or no longer function properly

-Backstage is not user friendly atall

-Spotme tends to over promise and then does not deliver on time or to spec

-Contract/Invoice process is painful now'

"Best Event Apps for engaging meetings "

What do you like best?

The app is extremely flexible and agile. It allowed us to do last minute changes until the last minute.

The local server was also a great suggestion from the SpotMe team as it allowed to be independant from the bandwidt provided by the venue.

Finally the proactiveness of the team was key for the success of our event

What do you dislike?

I would have loved to be able to let my participant upload videos on the feed. Hopefully it will be possible soon.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our client's new country CEO was launching his strategy for the next 3 years and wanted to have a high level of engagement with his audience. We have used polling and word cloud to help the participant understand the key points. Q&A helped the team to communicate with their new CEO, even the shyest ones !

"SpotMe as a Sponsor of SIHMUN "

What do you like best?

SpotMe fulfilled all of our expectations in creating an app for our conference. The app did not only centralize all information that needed to be communicated during the conference, but was also a space where people had the chance to interact and exchange their personal information.

What do you dislike?

The app that SpotMe created had SpotMe's logo when downloading. It would have been fantastic to have the logo of our conference visible instead.

SpotMe was very friendly, flexible and open minded when learning about SIHMUN.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

SpotMe allowed us to fulfil our corporate social responsibility: be more sustainable. The app that SpotMe created allowed us to reduce the amount of papers printed during the SIHMUN conference, and to keep the information centralised on the app until the next annual conference.

"A leader in the field"

What do you like best?

SpotMe listens to me as a client and user, taking into account my business needs and my UX. The responsiveness, creativity and agility of the team are very important to me, especially when I'm in between them and some pretty demandin senior stakeholders

What do you dislike?

For smaller events the cost can be prohibitive, and the setup and infrastructure required might be burdensome.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We need a way to connect multiple indivduals, business units and networks within our organisation when they attend our large internal training events. We want to engage them in an particpative experience before, during and after the event. We need a useful, easy and fun interface which serves as the one-stop shop for all event-related information, communication and interaction.

"Very Seamless and Tech Forward!"

What do you like best?

The ease of use and functionality of the SpotMe App. I like how we, as the customer, have access to Backend and can make changes anytime! Having a non-paper agenda where the sessions and items can be grouped by color is beneficial. I love how you can attach a PPT and take notes right on the Ipad.

What do you dislike?

I think it may be helpful to leave the need for an onsite tech to the client. Sometimes you may not need him/her onsite for small meetings.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SpotMe to house all our materials that we would normally print on paper. Agendas, contact information, pictures of the attendees, presentation, floorplan, etc.

"Helped bringing my event to the next level!"

What do you like best?

By using the SpotMe app we were able to have the event's/guests information in one place, where guests can actively participate during the event by posting photos or tweets, exchange business cards with other participants, participate during the meeting by sending questions or evaluate in one word how the meeting has been so far, also where could find reading materials, speakers bios.

What do you dislike?

Nothing to comment. It's the 3rd year now that we are using SpotMe app on our event and it has been a very good experience where we are presented each year with updates and new functionalities that permits to bring the event's app to the next level and take the best use out of it as an user perspective.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With SpotMe app we could reduce the printing materials (corporate responsibility) and have more interaction within our audience. Also, the fact that at the end of the event it was shared with each one of the guests a briefcase with all the materials shared through the event, business cards, photos, etc

"Great app for events"

What do you like best?

The usability, it's easy and straight forward to use it. Can use it to track performance and understand the metrics.

What do you dislike?

It's a bit challenging to get everyone to setup the app, sometimes getting them to use their email doesn't work then we have to give out the access code. Maybe it would be better to provide them with the access code at the start. Also, uploading documents takes quite a while as well.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

All the information for the event is available on the app. Before that we had to print large heavy books, and now we are moving with the digital age :)

What do you like best?

The app is very interactive and the whole team loved it at the conference. This was a great way to get the non english speaking attendees involved.

What do you dislike?

Couldn't upload videos but I have been told this is getting worked on.

Great way to get a large audience engaged. This is a very interactive app and will definitely be using it again for future conferences. The tech support on site for these conferences is brilliant. Could not recommend high enough.

People are asking more questions in conferences, not everyone likes to speak in front of people so it is a great way to get everyone involved.

"Amazing experience"

What do you like best?

How easy and fast was configured.The support was excelent.

What do you dislike?

At the moment we implemented we did not have the training to do by ourselves.So if we wanted to make las minutes changes we could not make them since the time zone did not allow it ..

"SpotMe - Event Trends 2017 Partner - Amazing Experience"

What do you like best?

The Spotme Team was amazing to work with. Ali was always proactive and enthusiastic to help achieve our common goals for Event Trends 2017. Pierre did a great job presenting this technology to our VIP guests in attendance.

What do you dislike?

Nothing. The App provided us the level of detail we needed and engaged our audience as promised. I would change nothing.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With SpotMe we can strategically capture data in real time during various phases of our pre-event marketing. We can make the necessary adjustments to be sure the content we are delivering has the most impact for our guests. The polling options are also another feature we have used with great success. Customized event agenda's specific to each user is also another cool tool. Having the ability to send push notifications via the App for changes is very helpful.

"Impactful use of digital technology for a large conference"

What do you like best?

Our project team had no previous experience working with an app to accompany a large, global conference. Working with SpotMe was an absolute pleasure: the contact person was patient, helpful and customer-centric; the app was intuitive, flexible and could highly integrated with our corporate guidelines.

What do you dislike?

Nothing that I particularly disliked or was challenged by.

The decision to use a conference app was to accompany a global conference with a digital tool to share program information, collect feedback, provide room for virtual connections and interactions. The app was highly appreciated by the audience, it created a lot of energy and buzz without distracting from the main purpose / content of the conference.

You wouldnt regret it - fantastic team, great customer care and support delivering a really intiuative product. I've seen unbelievale development over the past 12 months - they listen to us, the customer.

Multiple, we are more 'green', we provide our clients with engagement solutions and are pretty self-sufficient in builds making us a cost effective option to clients. We've seen planning efficiencies, less data handling and increased levels of communication

"Event App "

What do you like best?

It is super-easy to use, even people who have usually troubles adapting to digital tools have no issues using it. It is environmental-friendly and since we use the app - no more paper lying around the meeting rooms.

What do you dislike?

The Backstage area is rather difficult to handle when you use it the first time. It would be great to get some manuals that are a bit more detailed.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As an event planer, it makes my life super easy, as all the necessary information for a meeting (venue, accommodation, travel etc) are summed up in one app. I only have to write one email to all the participants, which is, to please download the app where they get all the information they need during a meeting.

"Flexibility in handling changes"

What do you like best?

The SpotMe team was fantastic. We pulled together the content to manage a 1100 person meeting. We had to have all of our content reviewed before posting, which created a bottleneck. SpotMe was fantastic as they were able to get the majority of the documents posted before the event and handled the changes as needed very smoothly. James was very creative in proposing solutions to things we presented him and we had a high adoption rate for the app!

That we didn't do this sooner! We didn't have must to dislike.

"Fantastic product with a truly excellent delivery team"

What do you like best?

The SpotMe team are amazing; they are brilliant at what they do, from a technical perspective, but also extremely personable and a joy to work with. They are very responsive to queries and propose really thoughtful solutions. I really do feel like it is a true partnership, and that is a great way to work.

What do you dislike?

Honestly, I can't think of anything that I dislike; any small challenges that we come across, we work through together and find a good compromise or solution.

We work with SpotMe on interactive engagement solutions for medium-large corporate meetings. We've been really impressed with their problem-solving, and as the series of meetings has progressed, so too have the features that SpotMe recommend.

"Event app fo worldwide convention"

What do you like best?

I like the flexibility of the app, the global features including interactivity, logistical issues, networking, and personalized agenda.

It's a very interesting tool for us to manage a personalized agenda for more than 1500 participants.

And last point, very trustfull and secure tool, we never had any bugs.

What do you dislike?

I think it would be very interesting to have more serious gaming tools inside the app.

What do you like best?

The capabilities of the app, increasing possibilities, and the professional look.

What do you dislike?

There are great features of the app, that should remain... some do, but sometimes some are removed once there is an update.

Know what features you are looking for... if SpotMe does not offer something, it is possible they are working on it or can implement it in the near future.

We are able to share an analytics and reports document that shares how our attendees are using the app. We are also able to to share client information with our stakeholders thru a view that only they can access.

"Great flexibele product which could use a better editor experience."

What do you like best?

Flexibility of the product. You can build a lot of things.

What do you dislike?

User Experience in the editing Interface For example if you want to move something in the Agenda you have to move evry single item that Comes after it. A calendar view for the editing would be so much nicer.

What do you like best?

The user-friendliness of the system, the ease of integrating into our program, the streamlined functionality of SpotMe, the loaner iPads with built-in function with ability to personalize, WordCloud, Augmented reality, our SpotMe colleagues' parntership onsite.

What do you dislike?

Not a dislike but a wish for continued improvement - different functions to engage our audience. Augmented reality is fun and helpful to engage, but after using several times, would be helpful to have other options.

Key benefit is engaging with the audience and keeping them engaged - seeing their perspectives in real-time. Helps shape the flow of the presentations as well.

Out of other meeting apps I've used, I think the ability to brand and customize is the best. The staff are all very responsive and easy to work with and the reporting coming out of the app is quite robust.

It's a little pricier than some of it's counterparts.

"Great app, great customer service"

What do you like best?

Customer service. Matt Polito is awesome to work with. Bent over backwards to make sure the app was perfect during our shows.

What do you dislike?

No major issues. The only piece that was difficult was the number of complicated integrations. It was not a SpotMe issue though.

"Very good customer service"

What do you like best?

the crowd of spotme is very friendly and customer-focused. They will enable everything for your support and satisfaction. Their Responses are very quickly.

What do you dislike?

Some of the Options in backstage (the backend) aren't very user-friendly at first. So you have to keep yourself busy with it. (aditionally to your daily routine work).

We use the SpotMe App for our Events. The Agenda, sessions, participants and every other Information can be presented in the app. We announced news, Information and Pictures with the app.

"Stable, powerful, flexible app - extremely fast and professional support - GREAT JOB!!!"

What do you like best?

Very very flexible backstage area - you can solve nearly every problem on you own - and if not: there is a extremely fast and professional support helping you out. It works very well on iPhone - even if you are offline.

What do you dislike?

The administration of the forms can be a little bit hard, as it is not sooo userfriendly.

You can manage a big event by only using an iphone - we don't need ANY paper anymore.

"Perfect onsite experience and great meeting app"

What do you like best?

Product is very flexible with all the features required for a meeting app. Spot-Me also had some interesting features on their meeting app e.g. word clouds and AR functionality. We used the AR functionality, which worked well.

"SpotMe as a partner not supplier"

What do you like best?

The staff, great sense of teamwork and willingness to get things perfect every time. Coming up with solutions quickly and doing everything they can to ensure all events run smoothly. There's never a "no" always a "let's try".

Technology is reliant on the infrastructure to run it and there have been occasions where systems outside of our control have hindered our delivery.

"State-of-the-art features, off-the-charts customer service"

What do you like best?

The app was fully customized with the event layout and features and functionalities were added, hidden and removed even during the event, according to their relevance in every moment of the event.

There was just a very tiny detail that looked impossible to obtain, but they found a workaround.

I like the user interface its very intuitive - I like how we can customize it for each event

"SpotMe was a fantastic app that was the highlight of the conference"

What do you like best?

The interactivity it allowed between participants at the conference I attended was amazing! Everyone could get business cards, ask questions, and get competitive with answering questions.

I don't think there was anything I really disliked!

Flexibilty and versatility go a long way. Our shows are constantly changing at the last minute, and SpotMe's agility gives us one less headache on site.

What do you like best?

Saves money and the environment by not printing. ARS and other features significantly increase classroom interactivity. Gamification and other advanced features get people involved, create a competitive atmosphere, which our people cannot resist, to get engaged.

It has a nice interface, and the structure of the app makes intuitive sense to non-digital natives. The SpotMe program team is also great to work with.
