"Easy to use"

What do you like best?

Spredfast offers enough data in a quick pull to get what you need without having to sift through mass excesses of what you don't. It's a very clean UI and easy to use -- interns can easily jump in if needed, and search strings aren't very touchy.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes I face issues with Spredfast not maintaining the settings that I've saved, rather defaulting to different options. There are also many different ways to go about doing the same thing, which can be both a good and bad thing.

Great product, but not for super in-depth reporting.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use Spredfast daily to analyze trends and quickly gauge conversations surrounding my clients. It's a great tool for quickly sending snippets of info to a larger team, and it's very easy and fast to export data. Many other platforms are laggy, slow and inefficient when exporting.

Do not use Spredfast. There are better tools for less money. Spredfast does offer unique features that are not often matched, however, the number of issues, difficulty working with support, and overall lack of reliability override any benefits

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It provides solid reporting when it works, and it has the functionality to track multiple campaigns across multiple brands and platforms. However, I cannot emphasize enough that this only provides value when it is operating error free. Sadly it never operates error free and our team also expands multiple hours every month, sometimes every week in submitting and following up on support tickets, and waiting on support replies. The majority of support tickets are not resolved same day, and approximately 40% are not even resolved in the same week.

"Lots of potential, lots of kinks to work out"

What do you like best?

I love that you can pull in data from Instagram! For the Instagram platform specifically, you can view the Top/Bottom posts based on their engagement metrics, which is a nice and quick insight if you need to fill the client in quickly. It's also great that you can time Dashboards to be sent to to clients daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

What do you dislike?

The data is likely always inaccurate, and it only pulls in boosted posts from Twitter and Facebook, not paid. This is the worst part - having to still pull data natively from those platforms and then combining them with the data pulled from Spredast. There are constant bugs and they change the UI all the time without updating about it - so then you're left to find out where to pull insights by just playing around with it which is such a waste of time. Also, and perhaps the biggest downfall, is the software does not provide historical data. So if you get a new client and want to compare the last quarter to the current one, good luck.

If you care about data integrity, make sure to cross-check your stats natively!

I use Spredfast to pull raw data for all social platforms in order to analyze the marketing trends for that particular region. When the data is correct, I'm able to see who likes what where, and how much engagement certain posts/copy receive during a given time period.

"Social media professional using Spredfast more than one year"

What do you like best?

Spredfast was a huge step up from the shared Excel spreadsheets we were using for editorial content planning. The tool gathers all of your channels in one place, helping all of our team-members up to speed across our presences. The new Planner tool helps us track larger campaigns across channels. I'm looking forward to testing the reporting functionality.

What do you dislike?

Spredfast analytics leave a good bit to be desired. The basics are there, if you dig for them, but the setup is unwieldy and can be painful to sort through. This is an area on their roadmap for an upgrade in the coming months, so I'm hopeful that will help significantly. I'm also less than thrilled with the fact that there is a delay on Twitter content as it comes into the Spredfast Conversations tool (their customer service/interaction module). Delays range from 3-5 minutes on average, but that's an eternity if you're trying to exchange information with a customer. We've also had trouble running promoted Facebook posts through the tool because the analytics don't show up in Facebook (natively). Since Facebook analytics are so much more in-depth and useful, we've had to stop promoting posts through Spredfast.

We're using the tool to consolidate our editorial calendar across channels and to conduct and track our customer service engagements.

"Used Spredfast for the past 4 years and every year it gets better"

What do you like best?

The user experience is super easy to learn and manage. I have to teach 10ish people how to use the product in a few hours before they use and the product makes it easy to do. Our part time staff picks up the product in a very short amount of time making it very easy for me. The customer service and staff at Spredfast are amazing and a reason we keep using them

What do you dislike?

Over the years Spredfast has developed into a product that I have no complaints about. Every year the product evolves and gets better.

"well rounded social media management tool"

What do you like best?

i may be a little bias considering i was an employee of spredfast for a few years, but it really is a great well rounded tool for managing all of a business's social media channels in one centralized location. conversations is a great platform for seeing all of your comments private messages and DMs at a glance as well as makes it easy to respond and record notes as you scroll through them. intelligence is a high-powered listening tool that allows you to searhc specific social accounts hashtags keywords and handles to get a pulse on the social sphere and see what users are talking about and what happens to be trending.

What do you dislike?

i dislike having to switch between the platforms as it sometimes will switch the initiative you are operating in, and can be dangerous as you may wind up posting to the wrong social account if you arent cognizant of it.

spredfast mitigates the issue of having to access and navigate all of your social channels natively and is a clean user interaface that lets you see everything at a glance.

"Spredfast is a one stop shop that provides information on all social media platforms."

What do you like best?

The things I like -

1. All 4 social media platforms can be found in one place (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr)

2. It is an easy to use platform, pretty intuitive.

3. Allows you to save your search. So if you ever need to go back and look up the same person, you do not have to re-do the entire search process. If it is saved, all you have to do it click and wait for it to load.

What do you dislike?

I don't think there is much that I dislike about it except that it lacks one of the MOST BASIC info and that is the number of followers a person has on a certain social media platform. I find it funny that they have all these insights but lack this one basic piece of information. if you are ever writing a report, you would want to include that info so I always have to look up their account and check their number of followers.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would say - give it a try. It is a good source. I personally find it super easy to use. And I have always found whatever I was looking for.

We often need insights on certain celebrities to make business deals. Spredfast provides a good comprehensive view of their social media standing, how powerful their social platforms are, their geographic reach, demographics of their fans, hashtags most popularly associated with them, etc.

"Great tool for advanced social marketing"

What do you like best?

Fantastic metrics/analytics capabilities, ability to monitor users and receive productivity reports, especially good for community managers. Really like the scheduling tools and the ability to create multiple campaigns for different regions. Customer service is beyond great and work quickly to solve problems.

What do you dislike?

Can be slow and buggy at times, takes 24 hours for labels to attach to posts which can make data pulls difficult. Need 24 hours to pull analytics, so that can be really inconvenient. Learning the platform took my teem awhile, it's a bit complex, but they do have great training resources. Still, I wish it was a more intuitive platform.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you are ready for some serious training with your team, be patient with getting it ramped, and stay close to your rep, they can help you with the customization you'll need to really make the platform sing.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This has been a great addition to our portfolio for the customer service team, and for community management and analytics. We're able to gain so much insight from the intelligence platform and integrate those findings into our strategy.

Spreadfast has been great for the global elements of our program. It makes asset sharing so much easier because it holds the content internally and that content can be labeled. We also use it across the social board for scheduling.

"Great functionality, but has technical issues"

What do you like best?

Great publishing and community management functionality. Fairly easy to use interface with lots of workflow features.

What do you dislike?

Fairly buggy in terms of technical issues. Publishing is spotty. Streams in the inbox jump around a lot and sometimes don't allow you to like/respond or move a shared bookmark without refreshing or logging out and logging back in.

Analytics functionality is really behind other platforms. It's not customizable at all in terms of metrics or charts/graphs, does not cover cross-channel performance, and does not have an ability to create dashboards. Export options are also extremely limited.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Spredfast as our primary tool for publishing and community management. Since analytics capabilities are limited, we have to go outside of the tool for this functionality.

"Best-in-class for monitoring"

What do you like best?

We primarily use Spredfast for monitoring social media channels for a client. It provides a nice interface for keeping tabs on all social media channels, and lets us quickly and easily notify our client when there is an issue they need to address. It's also great for keeping track of how long it takes you to respond - a must-have for major companies looking to optimize their social care.

What do you dislike?

The interface can be a bit clunky at times. Unless you do the training, some of the options can be a bit opaque. However, the trainings were nice and walked us through the entire process.

Definitely go through the training! It makes a big difference in how well you're able to use the program and accomplish your goals. It does so much more than social care monitoring, as well, which is very useful for clients looking for an all-in-one social media solution.

It helps monitor social media mentions and escalate problems quickly. It also keeps track of how long responses take.

This program makes it great when you have multiple people working within a social account. Easy to see who is doing what, create campaigns, monitor success.

What do you dislike?

I found it very cumbersome to set up the feeds I wanted to watch. I also don't like the retweeting options, so I often will do that from Tweetdeck

It's great to be able to see if anyone has taken a tweet and assigned themselves to it. Also good to see a plan for the week and what we have planned to share on social. I think this would work best in an environment where you need to assign tweets or posts out to certain departments to handle, more customer service oriented.

the intelligence tool is the best part. Not only does it give you trending terms and content by platform but it also shows things like share of voice and geo.

"Great Service for Social Media Scheduling"

What do you like best?

I love the ease of scheduling out our social media posts days and weeks in advance. I also like the option to submit posts for approval before publishing.

What do you dislike?

The analytics portion of it tends to "break down" a lot. At least once a month, our posts won't register link clicks and we'll have to go through the process of re-authenticating our Bit.ly account to fix it. Also, failed posts happen more than we'd like (maybe once a month).

We save a lot of time with scheduling our social media content to multiple pages and platforms. We also solve our need to have each posts approved before posting.

"Spredfast knows what's up!"

What do you like best?

Content Calendar, roles and team collaboration. Publishing, listening, and analytics all in one. Easy to use when publishing. Creates nice reports.

What do you dislike?

One of the earliest to offer full social monitoring, analytics, and publishing, they've come a long. Way. There were some bugs at first, but they've gotten better. Can be a bit pricey.

Spredfast is a great too. Highly recommend shopping around because it will be too robust for some.

What do you like best?

The ability to filter content by platform, engage without logging in natively, and the ability to apply labels to content for analytics makes this an easy platform to manage social customer service.

What do you dislike?

Whenever there is increased volume, the tool has been known to lag slightly. It does not impair the ability to get the job done - but it would be a nice permanent fix

Great for analytics and the need to label content or archive it once handled. Not all platforms offer content labels or the option to archive content that has been resolved.

You can also see the content through other streams - but you know that if it is not in the "inbox" stream then it has been resolved. Great feature!

"Spredfast review"

What do you like best?

I love how it simple it is for users to register and use. It makes networking and communicating easy and in my job that is a very appreciated quality.

What do you dislike?

Not much. I used it at my old job, so I guess my biggest complaint is that one time customer service took a really long time.

"Extremely robust with features, sometimes lacking on the details"

What do you like best?

I like the layout of the streams and overall, the product does the job well as long as you have it set up well. I think that the customization of the streams is pretty well built and thought out. It allows for a variety of use scenarios. Also, once you have it set up correctly with the proper account sets and initiatives, setting up and introducing new users the system is quite easy and smooth. I think the most difficult thing is setting the initiatives and account sets so it's working correctly in the system.

What do you dislike?

It's extremely slow, even on a fast machine. Things just take a while. I'd say there are little things too that just don't make sense. Like why couldn't you post the same message to multiple outlets at the same time and edit them differently.

Good for big teams and companies. Not great for smaller teams.

"Avoid At All Costs"

What do you like best?

The thing I like best about Spredfast is that we're moving to another platform.

What do you dislike?

I dislike everything about Spredfast. Posts for Facebook failing, contest entry page getting mysteriously deleted, the face that they use their own "language" to talk about their products which makes it almost impossible to teach people on your team how to use it, and their very very very very slow customer support that first attempts to blame you for the problem or pretend the problem doesn't exist.

"Easy to Use and Effective!"

What do you like best?

I love how easy the platform is to use! Our customer partner is quick to respond and very helpful. The authorization process for posts is straightforward and simple. There are so many options available to us as far as what we can do with our social media accounts.

What do you dislike?

There are some limitations to the types of social media contests they can run, but that's to be expected. Sometimes the dashboard can be a little buggy, but they are quick to fix these issues.

Spredfast helps us solve our issue of organizing social media posts. It allows us to build a calendar of our posts and send them through authorization processes if needed. "Not extraordinary"

What do you like best?

I enjoy how friendly the system is to it's users. It's very easy to schedule posts and even copy them to change the social network you want it posted on. They have been making a lot of positive changes lately which is making the product more competitive to others we have explored.

What do you dislike?

The preview feature. They just came out with this, but I wish it was even more realistic of a preview.

A very easy tool to navigate and easily get started with. I would recommend it especially if you're just starting with a social media management tool.

"Good platform with room for improvement"

What do you like best?

Spredfast is a solid social media management platform. It's visually appealing, and it gives lots of options for organizing content and setting up approvals.

What do you dislike?

It can be difficult to navigate sometimes, and it's a bit cumbersome to upload and edit photos. Also, when cross-posting to Google+, you have to work around the tool's functionality in order to use the photo you want.

What do you like best?

Spreadfast is always quick to adopt new functionality that develops with social media publishing tools. It can be used by a user without much experience, or by one who requires advanced functionality.

There are some issues with how the system works across initiatives/departments. I wish it was easier to share content or to schedule a retweet.

"Ease of use, comfortably designed user interface! "

What do you like best?

With the new updated user-interface, I can testify with my first-hand experience that the flow of postings, monitoring, and overall functionality have all greatly increased.

What do you dislike?

When posting posts on different social medias, the auto-visual upload failed to work 60% of the time. It gets frustrating having to embed the texts and visuals again.

"A new user, but love it so far"

What do you like best?

The best thing about this platform is that the expansive social listening is built INTO it. No more having to sift through other social listening tools and then use Spredfast to engage with your audience, everything is all in one place.

What do you dislike?

As a new user, the interface can be a bit confusing but I'll chock it up to me being new and getting my bearings. I also notice a delay in service sometimes.

Community mgmt - let's us monitor community mgmt and customer complaints in 1 platform. These issues (marketing and customer service) are handled by 2 different teams. Spredfast allows us to handle both in 1 platform without interfering with the other team's workflow. In addition, the analytics allows me to access data it's hard to access find in the native platforms.

"Would recommend to other agencies."

What do you like best?

I love all the additional features on Spredfast, such as the "Plan" feature where you can group posts into one plan and track the progress of that one group as opposed to all posts. Makes it super easy.

What do you dislike?

Not being able to schedule on Instagram. However, that's obviously not Spredfast's fault.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're scheduling posts for clients who then need to approve them. Spredfast makes it easy to schedule posts with assigned approvals instead of manually emailing clients posts and language to approve.

"Great for inbound marketing but API restrictions limit usefulness"

What do you like best?

I work in social analytics and it’s nice to have everything come from one platform. The spredfast employees are very helpful and responsive when I have an issue or question

What do you dislike?

Due to API restrictions, I’m not able to export all the data I need (ex: impressions on certain platforms) and sometimes repeats data. But, this is data available from the native platforms

"Missing Key Functions"

What do you like best?

I use this most to tag sponsored content with the plans tab

What do you dislike?

Analytics are far behind. Only shows FB impressions and engagements

"Spredfast is the market leader for a reason. "

What do you like best?

Their integrated solution is world class as is their account and strategy team. Really, the solution and it’s capacity will blow your mind. In addition, they don’t over promise. What they do, they do well. What they don’t do, they have relationships with the top technology providers in the field and will connect you to them.

What do you dislike?

With most enterprise solutions, it's never as simple to get started as going and signing up for a consumer-level service.

If you are looking at other commercial social media platforms like Spredfast, talk with peers that use them. That’s how you will really learn who to go with.

We selected Spredfast in an effort to help us do more than manager our social accounts. There are plenty of companies that can do just that. We wanted to know how we could better engage with our community and Spredfast let’s us do just that.

"Great tool for enterprises"

What do you like best?

Giving access to teams across locations and disciplines is easy with the tool. Workflows allow team collaboration and overall help with social content consistency.

What do you dislike?

Platform seems to have frequent glitches, support has been pretty responsive

"Clunky but Robust"

What do you like best?

This tool can handle massive volumes of mentions and makes it easy to track mentions and respond. It's also easy to use the approval system for copy and posts, you can punt them back to someone with notes.

What do you dislike?

The UI is clunky and not intuitive. It also doesn't have real-time monitoring, there is a delay that can be critical. It also struggles to provide a really solid large team experience, where you can have 20 people using the tool. The reporting was also totally useless.

If you need something really robust because you get tons of mentions this is a great too.

"It's a great tool to keep organized. "

What do you like best?

I love how easy it is to schedule posts.

What do you dislike?

Shuts down Facebook video posts frequently. After this happens I loose the ability to post videos on Spredfast and have to use Business Manager.

"Overpriced for a basic service"

What do you like best?

The ease in copying posts from one page into another page's que.

What do you dislike?

How expensive this platform is, very overpriced for what you're getting.

What do you like best?

I like how you can schedule posts to multiple social media platforms using one software.

What do you dislike?

It isn't very easy to use as you need training and even so it is quite confusing to understand everything.

Take the Spredfast course to get a better an in depth understanding of all the uses of spredfast. Spredfast is a great asset to have and I am grateful that I am able to use this wonderful software.

"Useful Social Media Tool That Requires Training"

What do you like best?

Spredfast is a complex tool—it can provide you with a lot of pertinent information and data about your social media following, but it does take time to grasp all of its capabilities.

What do you dislike?

The instructional videos are very basic, so you really need a lot of one-on-one training.

The ease to use and post to multiple platforms.

What do you dislike?

Having to schedule the same thing on different platforms individually. Adobe Social allows you to schedule the same post on multiple platforms.

"In depth evaluation as part of product replacement review process"

What do you like best?

Ease of use, ability to combine several channels into single processing queue, ability to Draft posts on Instagram, no volume limits on messages.

What do you dislike?

No ability to publish to Tumblr, somewhat rudimentary reporting capabilities.
