"It's like they gave up on growing..."

What do you like best?

Nothing. Clients like it because it links to their accounting software... It's been with them for over 10 years... and they are in too deep to change.

What do you dislike?

Old school. Ugly Interface. Not user-friendly. And total* lack of support for non-enterprise ($$$) accounts.

* total = none whatsoever. Their support tickets don't even work.

(edit) paid the money for the support. Sill suck! Told us to vote on fixes.

(edit) no easy way to implement SSL (it's standard now, guys!)

(edit) the notification system was changed and messed up how we delegate tasks.

Recommendations to others considering the product

... If you own warehouses and factories in two different countries. Fair enough. This may be the one for you.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

A long time ago, clients wanted something to link to some accounting and drop-shipping software.

"NetSuite Experience"

What do you like best?

Makes ordering items simple and streamlined. Previously, we were using only email and it was very confusing and unorganized. NetSuite makes it a lot easier to see all your orders as well as their status.

What do you dislike?

Many required fields seem to be unnecessary, and there are some UI preferences that I would have changed. Another addition that would be incredibly useful would be providing shipping or tracking information, so I would know if a package was lost during the process or if it was simply not ordered in the first place.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure the training process is consistent, so everybody knows how it should be used.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Puts all orders in one place, instead of being easy to lose through email. This makes the ordering process much faster, and I don't have to worry about hearing back from our buyers-- I can easily check on NetSuite what step of the process my order is at.

"SuiteCommerce Advanced is Great if Integration is Your Primary Objective"

What do you like best?

SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) does a great job of integrating the front end website with the backend ERP system. The databases is shared and leads to some cool real time syncing abilities. Customer are essentially logging into our ERP system where they can view and create transactions on their own, as well as review and modify their information.

What do you dislike?

The product is fairly clunky. We get constant feedback from shoppers of sluggishness, error messages, and other minor bugs. Our implementation was performed by Netsuite so these issues are not the result of customizations we may have done on our own, but rather from teh software being buggy or the implementation team not doing their job correctly. Competitors like Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce all of offer the same website features SuiteCommerce offers and much more. The availability of web designers and platform experts is far greater with these more popular platforms.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SCA to run our flagship eCommerce store and our customer's "My Account" access.

"Good software transition for our business"

What do you like best?

The UI is very fluid. We like that we can restrict access by roles. We like how most transactions are linked which allows an easy view of transaction movements for inventory and accounting.

What do you dislike?

The amount of customization required to have the software run as desired. We were sold on the software's ability to conform to our needs, but we weren't told how much customization would require a workflow and 3rd party scripting. Also, the native reporting is very limited in comparison to the software we were using. Lastly, NetSuite seems to have put accounting processes at the bottom of the list for overall functionality. As an accountant the movements in NetSuite are quite cumbersome and this area has the least amount of customization available.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure that you have someone in your company that can quickly learn how to customize NetSuite (even better if you have an employee that can work with scripts). Otherwise the 3rd party costs can be very expensive which could potentially affect your processes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This software has drastically improved our inventory/warehouse management. Our previous software was not able to handle the number of transactions and inventory visibility that NetSuite has been able to so far.

"A customizable platform for solving your eCommerice needs"

What do you like best?

I enjoy Netsuite's image and file database. It's very easy to upload files and share them on the website and through email marketing campaigns.

The Netsuite platform is highly customizable. There are different levels of controls for different users. You are also able to change the view that your features show up in. This allows every user to set up the platform to their needs.

Email marketing campaigns are very easy to manage and setup.

What do you dislike?

Some of the more complicated and creative setups require extensive coding. For an inexperienced user, the backend can be a little difficult to navigate.

You may need some training or experimenting with the program before you get comfortable with altering the front end layout.

I also am not happy with their pricing. Every year they seem to raise prices (even on long-term users) and demand more in their contracts. I find it unfair and a little bit un-human that they won't honor their valued custoemrs.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Very robust platform. Just make sure you familiarize yourself with it. Negotiating a good price may be difficult.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Launching new products and keeping track of UPC codes for each product.

Netsuite also has the ability to keep track of inventory in real time. If a particular product becomes sold out, an automated "out of stock" message appears.

"Great Cloud Based Tool for Customer Management"

What do you like best?

It's cloud based, where you don't have to house and maintain your own servers. Convenience as it makes our data accessible to us anywhere there's an internet connection. There's a global search to search for almost any data that you need to find (contact, account, etc...) If the Global search doesn't bring up what you want, there is a search that is more robust that you can use to search for the data you're looking for as well as reports you can set up.

What do you dislike?

The limitation on the customization. There are areas that we would like to track, but the customization for this area that we would like to track and maintain is unavailable, we've had to find work arounds in order to accomplish our goals.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's very convenient and helpful, the support is kind of lacking as whenever we call, there's a language barrier as the support is handled in India (or somewhere near there)

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're managing our customers and prospects. Everything from their information to what they're interested in and what they've purchased. Our previous system we had to use two different database systems for customer info and order info. Now it's one solution.

"Netsuite is smart secure and fast on eCommerce with new technology SCA "

What do you like best?

The SCA modules are purely programmed and efficiently named so as the editing is quick and the modules compilation won't take much time than just saving any file in the system. Further it is purely configurable and we can use custom records to dynamically manage the internal referred elements from the outside without even retouching or recompiling the code modules at all.

What do you dislike?

The help support online is not very sufficient for quick search - as we have to spend more time doing juggling with keyword to get any appropriate result. and further the help/proper documentation for the latest versions like Vinson/Mont Blanc are not readily available and resolving issues over the NS help n support also time consuming.

Recommendations to others considering the product

As for the traders - retailers etc. if they want single point management for almost everything and wants to unite their sales and support from various subsidiaries across the world they can surely go ahead for it while they must need to have some skilled manpower to manage and maintain the things and for development as per online user experience to improve sales etc. The one stop development is being supported by NS as they call you and try to resolve/assist where ever you feel you need help.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use to manage complete web-flow and internal scripting etc. the manage products details and online presentation for quick sales. Also manage SEO related issues for marketing and re-marketing of things. There is a lot more on NS as managing custom records using scripts JSON and suitelets etc.

"NetSuite has saved us lots of time!"

What do you like best?

We have enjoyed the consolidation of several areas of our non-profit organization into one environment. This has saved us so many hours that used to be spent importing data from various places into our accounting software.

What do you dislike?

There's quite a learning curve, but it's well worth the investment! Programming skills are required to create a web presence which is visually attractive or to customize the features; however, there are many experts which can be hired to assist with these needs. There is a also a great grant process for receiving help with implementation of new features or customization.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are a non-profit, use their excellent grant application process to benefit your organization! It is available through techsoup.org and is well worth pursuing.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our registrations and web sales are immediately in our accounting records and our website is integrated as well. We also eliminated our need for a separate email platform as that is also integrated.

"Netsuite Review"

What do you like best?

Overall, the software is deep and addressed a lot of our needs. Having front and back end integration has also been great. This is a much more full fledged offering than what we were doing before, though it might be a bit overkill. However, it is enabling us to provide many more services that we wouldn't not have been able to before. Support has also been really good, as support staff is responsive and, for the most part, helpful.

What do you dislike?

Updates often break things; there's a need for constant maintenance. Some things will break; it doesn't happen often, but it happens, and can put us in a scramble when it does. Wish the API were faster as well, and there were more hooks available. SiteBuilder is weak.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Use a third party consultant for implementation. In house team is expensive and slow.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Previous to this we were using Quickbooks for accounting and management; NS expands our capabilities and allows for greater management especially of inventory that we weren't able to do before. We are now able to manage backorders / pre-orders for our site as well. Also, having one central database for inventory and pricing has saved us a huge amount of man hours compared to our previous system, where we were having to sync inventory on multiple platforms, and pricing needed to be changed in multiple places. We're now able to manage that in one central location, and even have those changes go out to connected sites.

"A solid platform for those with deeper pockets "

What do you like best?

The native integration in netsuite is obviously the best feature.

What do you dislike?

The cost to go to market. It's been very expensive to purchase as well as develop. There aren't enough vendors to choose from, either. Everyone who says they are an expert now only has a few builds under their belt and are learning as they go (and as netsuite rolls out new versions).

Recommendations to others considering the product

If the integration is worth it and you can afford the implementation, go for it. It's much better than trying to use a connector with a 3rd party into netsuite. However, if there's even the slightest thought you might move your back office out of netsuite, then don't use sca. You'll be stuck with a useless platform that will take tons of resources to back out of.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have sites that were built in sitebuilder. Suitecommerce is like driving a Lamborghini after commuting in a Reliant Robin. (Google it).

"Makes integrating with ERP simple, but architecture is outdated and customization is challenging"

What do you like best?

I love that we have an out of the box integration between our eCommerce site and our ERP. We decided to use SuiteCommerce to avoid costly integration and minimize risk of issues caused by system updates down the line.

What do you dislike?

The SuiteCommerce Site Builder architecture is very outdated and we've had to do some complicated workarounds to make our website responsive and apply SSL security to every page, rather than just the checkout cart. It is also lacking features such as image gallery, advanced search/sort, search suggestions, item review, out of stock notification.

Recommendations to others considering the product

When asking if SuiteCommerce meets certain requirements of yours, be sure to ask if customization is required to meet your requirements or if it meets requirements out of the box.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It has taken a lot of manual process out of getting our eCommerce orders out to our warehouse for fulfillment.

"SuiteCommerce Advanced Mont Blanc"

What do you like best?

Not much. However, it can be customized to fit your business needs. For example, you can set up a B2B site and a B2C site. It offers multiple images per product. Adding basic homepage banners is quite simple within the CMS. They are adding the capability to have an SSL certificate.

What do you dislike?

The complexity of the Mont Blanc SPA version is nearly impossible to manage. We are working with the SuiteCommerce success team and it takes the developers weeks to correct what seems like a simple fix. You also must pay for every customization or basic development outside of the original SOW. We had to wait weeks and eventually hire a NS developer to simply change the fax number on our footer. There are not many guides to teach you how to use the Mont Blanc version because there have been so many updates since. The pages load very slowly. The search index has a mind of its own. SEO is a mystery with many different NetSuite experts giving conflicting advice on best practices. The "My Account" center isn't integrated with our customer database in the ERP. The basic template is rather unattractive. DO NOT purchase the basic template without thorough examination of what customizations you may need because what seems like an affordable launch has tripled. Also for a "Quick Start" it took over a year to implement and nearly three years later we are still working with developers to fix very simple errors. Our latest problem of the week, is that the site automatically selects pick up/delivery at checkout and does not allow customers to select another method.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Don't do it! Go with Magento or anything!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's a vast improvement from our SiteBuilder.

"Needs more ways to customize"

What do you like best?

The thing I like best is the ability to create carts and wish lists as a customer and the ease of which you can see your past orders.

What do you dislike?

As I said in my title, the SuiteCommerce bundle needs more ways that you can customize the look and feel without having to get the SuiteCommerce team to do the programming on the back end. There needs to be a more simplistic way to do this.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would consider using an onsite 3rd party team in order to get the full potential and the best initial roll out experience. Using the Vendor Services team we hit delays at every turn and there was a bit of a language barrier as their team is from Uruguay.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The seamless inner working of creating the sales order from the SuiteCommerce site. When the customer submits their order it automatically pulls the inventory from the system and it works in real time. Whereas our old system we would have to input the order from a generated email that our site would send once the order was submitted.

"NetSuit SuiteCommerce is more complicated than it needs to be"

What do you like best?

NetSuit SuiteCommerce is a great tool to centralize PO or ordering.

What do you dislike?

The interface is quite difficult to use. I would say many things could be simplified. Wish I could had a default setting to fill out all the fields instead of entering the same thing every time I place a requisition or PO. For example, the address for the delivery needs to be picked every time for items to be shipped to me.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be ready that the system would have a lot of problems and glitches.

"Superb Front End Experience"

What do you like best?

The things that are best within SuiteCommerce is the huge customisations that can be made. Just like the NetSuite backend you can fully change anything to suit your business flows and practices.

What do you dislike?

Not much to dislike other than it not being able to be upgraded inline with the NetSuite software. I hope at some point they get to somewhere this is able to be done.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would recommend you have the full backing of your financial team as this can be expensive if you don;t have in house developers.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

One problem we are solving is that SiteBuilder was a bit outdated and non responsive. So with this new product we have been able to speed our website up and increase our website usage statistics.

"Does not have a lot of options"

What do you like best?

It was nice to have the ease of everything flow through NetSuite. I liked being able to update all my products in one place and not have several different 3rd party connections.

What do you dislike?

It feels like a site from the 90s. We were told we could not use an SSL across our entire site. Only the checkout page would allow SSL. This was going to cause issues with SEO and website ranking. The design was difficult as well. It wasn't a simple thing we could do. It had to be done by a programer who knew their specifics.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We moved away from Suitecommerce due to some of the issues above. It was not worth it and unfortunately cost us a lot of money.

"SuiteCommerce is great, though best suited for medium to large corporations."

What do you like best?

NetSuite and the SuiteCommerce module are fantastic cloud based applications that integrate all aspects of the enterprise. The end to end functionality is incredibly robust and flexible. I love working in NetSuite and in SuiteCommerce, although because my client that uses it is a micro-enterprise, we always struggle with the subscription fees and would love to have the much more robust and modern, out of the box mobile friendly SuiteCommerce Advanced, it is out of our budget. I merely reprogrammed our SuiteCommerce templates for mobile functionality which was a one time cost that saves us money in the long run. If you are going to use NetSuite and SuiteCommerce, definitely go for the Advanced version unless you have a savvy programming staff to make SuiteCommerce look and feel the way you want it to.

What do you dislike?

The cost is too steep for small corporations or small businesses in my opinion given all the free and low cost apps that are available in todays market. For instance, if your revenue is less than $200K to $300 per year, you really need to analyze the numbers closely to make sure you shouldn't just use a customized WordPress site and connect APIs for Email Marketing, SFA, Accounting, Inventory and other systems to achieve what you need in an ecommerce site. SuiteCommerce takes programming skills and tricks to make it look the way you want. The out of the box templates are not that great, so plan on development time to achieve the best results and UI. I wish it was more affordable, particularly SuiteCommerce Advanced. The integration with Google AdWords conversion tracking was not so easy because we were early adopters. Hopefully it is better documented now.

Recommendations to others considering the product

New functionality and features are always going to show up first in 3rd party integrations. The core functionality is best with SuiteCommerce Advanced and SuiteCommerce itself will seem antiquated to any company without a development team to customize it to your liking.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use all the marketing functionality to track email ROI and web traffic from all our social media sources. The inventory control is fantastic. We can setup great promos and be responsive to sales trends on a short turnaround. The KPIs are great at giving us a full overview of sales, expenses, profit, web stats, cart abandonment, lead generation, customer conversion, campaign performance and more! It has really helped us compete in an extremely competitive market.

"Great platform for small to medium businesses!"

What do you like best?

The various features you get are great. There are a ton of customizations and things you can use in the system. I really like how my dashboard can be taylor-made for me. We have custom records and lists that are really hard to find, but they are all setup on my home dashboard which makes it easy to navigate around.

What do you dislike?

The speed and performance are slow at times but can be better. Some things like the email templating system can be done a bit better. Examples include a better inline editors for developers to write their HTML and JavaScript. Maybe include components to break up Javascript and HTML templates up .

The UI is not extremely pleasing, which complements the UX (the performance). Sometimes it feels very clunky and old. I often misclick several times and submit the form several times by accident. In addition,. it is not mobile-friendly, so I am unable to navigate through it on the phone effectively.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Try it out. It has a lot of features.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Speed and performance in forms and the e-commerce platform are slow which may lead to loss of potential customers. But since the platform is slow diverse it makes up for that and it provides a lot of features that are helpful to the business.

The internal ERP and CRM systems are quite good as it connects the whole business together. I'm able to see information like pricing, inventory, etc....

"ecommerce hell"

What do you like best?

There are very few things that would make this the platform of choice - best parts are possibly the fact that the Credit Card details can be used via the integrated website & call centre so not have to take details twice if buying from different channels.

What do you dislike?

This list would be too exhaustive to list on here, A good start would be the non existent SLAs, a very slow clunky site, no facet counts, releases that are always full of bugs that take weeks to fix, functionality light years behind competitors, lack of integration with any 3rd party plugins, lack of accountability from NetSuite. Lack of flexibility of URL structure to optimise SEO, Defects. I would say this should be a Beta product. I could go on.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Look at the Market Share of SuiteCommerce Advanced, ask current users independently, be sure of your functional requirements, see if you need 3rd party integrations, please shop around.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have caused ourselves a mountain of problems with this ecommerce solution. The very few benefits of this so called integrated solution have been too small to mention.

"SuiteBuilder isn't good"

What do you like best?

It can sync with your inventory and your customer database.

What do you dislike?

We were one of the first customers to implement SuiteBuilder in Australia. (I believe) Customisation was a real headache, we used Netsuite to implement our webstore and even they didn't know how to add features we needed even those the sales team convinced they could. We had an issue with geocoding our webstore and it took alot of work from our end to make sure Netsuite finish the project and fixed this bug. They always wanted to charge us more. In the end, webstore is quite a mess visually with continual problems. I would not recommend Suitebuilder or using Netsuite Professional Services.

Recommendations to others considering the product

"Great platform, implementation plan is key!"

What do you like best?

Extremely customisable, lots of native features, and if those aren't enough, there's tons of 3rd party add-ons and plugins.

Recently purchased by Oracle, and those resources should result in even more features and faster development.

What do you dislike?

As a smaller business, it can be overwhelming at times.

There are plenty of training materials, but there could be more work done to have tutorials by role and business process, eg. Customer Service, Sales Agents, Sales Manager, etc.

The tutorials would provide use cases so as to be easier to learn, for example, putting someone through the full sales pipeline, and the NetSuite best practices that go along with it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure to really plan. Do a solid pre-implementation.

"A NetSuite fan for over 16 years"

What do you like best?

There is no other system like NetSuite. It has an incredible amount of business processes and reporting, and yet is flexible and customizable to meet very specific unique needs. Without a web based system, many companies will not be around in the future, as they will need to work remotely (virtually) with their team, customers, vendors and any others invovled with their company.

What do you dislike?

Similar to other systems, NetSuite will always have issues (concerns, problems, work arounds) However I've found ways to work around most issues that I dislike, and have been able to help other companies on NetSuite resolve the things they dislike too.

"Netsuite User converted to SCA (from sitebuilder). TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Use a Var or partner."

What do you like best?

The product itself is great. End to End single database solution for ecommerce and erp.

There is a lot of pent-up demand to move marketing (and business) systems forward. Netsuite remains a singular offer. HOWEVER, Netsuite service and support are hugely disappointing (unless you have excessive time and budget for the budget). Hopefully Oracle will bring this business back into line with its core service values (from the past). Knowledge is concentrated in a small group and that is an insurmountable frustration.

If you use a VAR, stay away from Netsuite sales and service, you will find your self amazed by the benefits of single customer base, content management tied directly to inventory and accounting product management. All in all a solid scalable mid-range solution. Requires a lot of customization but it's mostly database driven.

What do you dislike?

The product developed from an accounting package and these roots remain. Since businesses grow through sales and marketing as well as proprietry products and services, netsuite needs to invest R&D into the front end. The customer base is seriously underutilized in "native" product. There is no RFM or basic customer modeling to get you started. The web store product is good, but bare bones. You'll get a reputable & secure foundation but be prepared to build everything you really need to grow your business.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Spend the time to evaluate and plan all the customization you will need. USE A VAR.

Spend the time evaluating the support and services because you will need it. NOT in the old-school "fixes" and "running" way, but in optimizing use and gaining benefit for business results!

When Netsuite says the product has a feature, they mean it can be supported if developed. From this perspective itis a great product.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Largest benefit is the end-to-end nature of the solution and shared databases. An integrated solution should be a core requirement for platform replacement.

"Needs Improvements"

What do you like best?

Ease in finding historic support cases and speed of the application after recent upgrades.

What do you dislike?

Lack of support of rich text editor for case opening. It should be like Ms Outlook Email composer to enter all types of media with ease.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using it to open support tickets with the vendor. Thus all management of supports tickets is handled by this tool. We are able to do follow-ups and can track all historic events in the tickets.

"NetSuite & Adaptive more than satisfy FP&A needs"

What do you like best?

The integration between NetSuite and Adaptive makes it easy to research variances directly from my FP&A reports in Adaptive. I can also create templates in NetSuite to share with budget owners.

What do you dislike?

One of the issues I recently came across was that I could not figure out how to find all approved PO's that were hitting against a single department / expense location.

Recommendations to others considering the product

My favorite thing about SuiteCommerce is the integration across the different platforms.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Monthly budgeting and forecast variance; 5-year modeling; Vendor payments; Order processing

"Invaluable to our business"

What do you like best?

Since we brought on Netsuite, we have grown tremendously. Netsuite has given us leverage - the ability to manage the business well beyond our current staffing levels. It allows us to keep all systems and data together in one central database with one common user interface - ERP, MRP, CRM, Marketing Automation and Website Management, and more. We would be in a world of hurt if we didn't have Netsuite.

What do you dislike?

Like any system which does everything, some aspects of Netsuite are not leading in class. In particular, the CRM and Marketing Automation lacks the capabilities of other dedicated solutions.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Netsuite SuiteCommerce is natively integrated. Everything works as it should and there are no unique "gotchas" which come with 3rd party ERP-webstore patch.

"Great Product Overall"

What do you like best?

I really like how everything is so easy to manage and there are tutorials that will walk you through steps if you have questions.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that formatting the program is difficult. It takes time to set everything up and isn't the most user-friendly on the back end.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would highly recommend this product for any business who is looking to improve upon their AP/AR efficiency and has employees who like simplified duties.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are currently using NetSuite for our AP transactions as well as our AR and all other financial means.

"Best thing that has happened since Rice Krispie Treats!"

What do you like best?

Considering we are going from Quickbooks Desktop to Netsuite and adding Netsuite's WMS system, project budgets and expensing, and facets that Netsuite has to offer, this software literally runs our entire organization and entries just flow smoothly to where they belong. No more long hours of data entry/organization. Worry free. Hassle free system. Many CPA's are new to this and are loving the way this system reports!

What do you dislike?

There is nothing about the software itself that me and/or my team dislike. It's more so the overwhelming abundance of everything NEW that we are still trying to get use to.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Everything I said above about why I liked it. We have realized every benefit possible.

"User Friendly Interface"

What do you like best?

The workflow is easy to understand and manage. Has very useful tools that help get announcements out to consumers about upcoming events. Internally, this helps flow orders through our process of completing the sale and billing. The addition of SuiteCommerce has made the workload of all of our departments much easier to manage. NetSuite offers many modules to make the workflow and production much easier.

What do you dislike?

Seems like an increase in server bandwidth could help improve the speed of the site for internal use. Consumer side of the site works great though.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The functionality of SuiteCommerce in tandem with NetSuite is something that will help decrease turnaround time of orders being placed. This increases customer satisfaction ratings.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Just launched the new eCommerce functionality of NetSuite, and it seems to help reduce the entries of orders for the inside sales team and expedites the process of getting the orders to our customers. Our shipping department has seen an increase in daily orders, but taking advantage of the NetSuite Warehouse Management System has made the order much easier to process which helps our customers get their orders in a much shorter time frame.

"Very Professional and Organized"

What do you like best?

I liked how our project manager was very proactive in scheduling status meetings and making sure we were on the right track. I also love the fact that NetSuite allows it's users to view the GL impact for all transactions.

What do you dislike?

I disliked how our consultants started to become less attentive/responsive near the end of the project, even though the project timeline was unexpectedly extended. For NetSuite itself, I dislike how you're unable to create credit notes directly to expenses.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Prior to SuiteCommerce, we never had a central system that linked accounting, inventory, CRM, CSR and sales. Just the basic sales - purchase order process being linked to inventory has been a huge benefit.

"Best way to customize an eCommerce Application"

What do you like best?

Checkout Process,Shipping Options,Product Searching and Filtering, Intangible Products, Order Management, Payment Processing, Inventory Management, Admin Access, API's are the best to Customize site,Landing Pages which can be used to created custom web pages wherever required.

What do you dislike?

I don't have anything specific which I didn't like in it. And I would suggest to provide more training videos to understand about suitecommerce advanced. One thing i want to mention is that the navigation to the code repository. If we want to customize any particular module, we need to go to the web page, navigate through the code and get the class names to check the modules. This is something which needs more searching time and to get the exact location of where we need to customize is time taking. This should be improved.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It will be better if you have a resource from your organization to learn Suitecommerce ASAP.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Creating an eCommerce site and customizing it entirely to suit the business needs. Landing pages are the most we used for creating custom pages on the Site. Our customer was using a site builder which and the custom er wants to move to an advanced version for which we suggested them to opt for Suitecommerce Advanced. And the Payment processing and Shipping options are more feasible when we go with the Suitecommerce Advanced which helps it to be more User- Friendly. I would suggest to provide more and more learning modules to get touched to Suitecommerce Advanced.

"SuiteCommerce"

What do you like best?

There are two options Site Builder or SuiteCommerce Advanced to choose from which helps a company choose the most appropriate fit for their business model. Everything is pulled directly from your NetSuite instance.

What do you dislike?

There are a few limitations when it comes to the webstore and how items need to be set up for better functionality. When the company has been using NetSuite for several years, the last thing they want to do is create all new items to optimize the webstore, specifically converting inventory items into matrix items.

It can be hard for Administrators with no website design experience to understand the set up of a SuiteCommerce site because that are so many different components.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Originally we solved an issue of being able to reach our more remote customers that are not close to dealers.

A key benefit of having SuiteCommerce was the ability to sell more and have everything seamlessly go right into NetSuite instance.

"Great service!"

What do you like best?

Everything you need is integrated into the system. All you need for operations and accounting is easily obtainable. I've been using Netsuite at this current job and have used it at another place of employment. I learned a lot of the necessary processes on my own, so I would say Netsuite definitely has a grasp on making sure the actions are clear and concise

What do you dislike?

There are random updates that sometimes unfix problems that were fixed. More in depth, if we contacted Netsuite support about an issue concerning how pricing was showing up. After the fix, a few weeks later, there would be an automatic update that would reverse those changes and "un-fix" the issue, or a new issue would arise.

I also dislike that during some processes such as Bin Transfers, after completing a bin transfer, the page would error out.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure everything you need is set up and ready to go to test before going live. You'll run into some issues later on if all your functions are not set up.

All in all, Netsuite support is good, they will do the research for you and they are timely with their responses on fixes for your issues.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The fact that everything is integrated, we are able to perform all the functionalities like receiving purchase orders in house, website maintenance, mass imports and exports, and reporting. We can run processes a lot smoother.

"Great Software I Highly Recommend, But Be Warned - It's Not User Friendly"

What do you like best?

Netsuite seems to do everything you need it to and then some. It's one of those programs that is so vast and has so many capabilities, that you'll never be able to learn it all. The inventory and client management side of the program is probably one it's best features. Our company would be lost without it.

What do you dislike?

One of the biggest downsides of Netsuite is its user friendliness. It is not intuitive at all and is extremely clumsy. To make matters worse, unless you pay $10,000 for a training course in Las Vegas, there is no definitive manual or textbook to guide you on how to use Netsuite or tell you where you need to go within the program to get something done. I have had to look all over the internet and piece together various training tools that individual companies have put together for their own employees to use, in order to create a "go-to" manual for our company's employees. To be fair, Netsuite does have a Help Center but it works more like a forum than a manual and I have never been able to find the answers to my questions in it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Use a third party company such as NewGen Business Solutions to help you

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Netsuite's SuiteCommerce to run the retail side of our business. It helps us to manage our inventory, track our shipments, input leads and customers, and sell our products on our website.

"Sweet SuiteCommerce"

What do you like best?

The flexibility, reporting, and ease of use has been so much easier than our last eCommerce solution. The simplicity of controls means we can have team members up to speed in a very short amount of time. Previously it would take several months before a new employee could effectively manage the storefront.

What do you dislike?

It is still pretty restrictive on locations of page elements. I would still like to see this improvement. Even more, if we could change the structure of pages it would unlock the next level of customization we are craving.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There are several levels of SuiteCommerce. Start with the builder version. This will give you a good start and UI to help you get started. You can explore all the features and determine what benefits would come from SuiteCommerce Advanced. You can always upgrade, but downgrading can be an issue, if at all possible.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to move from 3rd party providers and extra synchronization steps to a single source of truth. It is wonderful to have real time results and not wait for sync, or daily reports that are a day behind.

"Netsuite ERP & SuiteCommerce - Suitable depending on volume and development skills "

What do you like best?

Integrated package, controlling ERP, eCommerce, CRM and Distribution - easy sharing of data between record types which mostly works well together. Good ability to customise records, and build custom applications on top of the platform. Decent reliability in uptime. Good scalability when volumes increase/decrease.

What do you dislike?

Clunky user interface requires a lot of training and time to learn. Development/customisation on the platform can be expensive and time consuming. Limitations in server setup can hamstring some developments. Poor feedback and issue resolution from Support and Development teams, with some business critical functions requiring years of waiting for Netsuite to come up to speed.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure that the entire Netsuite platform is right for you (there may be other products that integrate well for different business needs), spend a long time researching all features of the product, beware of snakes in the purchasing process.

Generally you'll get out what you'll put in, many processes can be automated and there is good flexibility in the product, just don't expect to get it for a bargain price. An in house developer would be a wise investment when setting up your Netsuite instance or website.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Allows administrators good control over the system, allowing access of products and services to certain users only. Customised ordering platforms via in house developed SSP applications have allowed us to move away from a standard eCommerce offering, which has resulted in increased orders and up-selling of associated products. Allows us to expose information stored on custom records that benefits the customer experience.

What do you dislike?
