NetSuite Experience

What do you like best?

Makes ordering items simple and streamlined. Previously, we were using only email and it was very confusing and unorganized. NetSuite makes it a lot easier to see all your orders as well as their status.

What do you dislike?

Many required fields seem to be unnecessary, and there are some UI preferences that I would have changed. Another addition that would be incredibly useful would be providing shipping or tracking information, so I would know if a package was lost during the process or if it was simply not ordered in the first place.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure the training process is consistent, so everybody knows how it should be used.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Puts all orders in one place, instead of being easy to lose through email. This makes the ordering process much faster, and I don't have to worry about hearing back from our buyers-- I can easily check on NetSuite what step of the process my order is at.

SuiteCommerce Advanced is Great if Integration is Your Primary Objective

What do you like best?

SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) does a great job of integrating the front end website with the backend ERP system. The databases is shared and leads to some cool real time syncing abilities. Customer are essentially logging into our ERP system where they can view and create transactions on their own, as well as review and modify their information.

What do you dislike?

The product is fairly clunky. We get constant feedback from shoppers of sluggishness, error messages, and other minor bugs. Our implementation was performed by Netsuite so these issues are not the result of customizations we may have done on our own, but rather from teh software being buggy or the implementation team not doing their job correctly. Competitors like Shopify, Magento, and WooCommerce all of offer the same website features SuiteCommerce offers and much more. The availability of web designers and platform experts is far greater with these more popular platforms.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SCA to run our flagship eCommerce store and our customer's "My Account" access.

Good software transition for our business

What do you like best?

The UI is very fluid. We like that we can restrict access by roles. We like how most transactions are linked which allows an easy view of transaction movements for inventory and accounting.

What do you dislike?

The amount of customization required to have the software run as desired. We were sold on the software's ability to conform to our needs, but we weren't told how much customization would require a workflow and 3rd party scripting. Also, the native reporting is very limited in comparison to the software we were using. Lastly, NetSuite seems to have put accounting processes at the bottom of the list for overall functionality. As an accountant the movements in NetSuite are quite cumbersome and this area has the least amount of customization available.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure that you have someone in your company that can quickly learn how to customize NetSuite (even better if you have an employee that can work with scripts). Otherwise the 3rd party costs can be very expensive which could potentially affect your processes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This software has drastically improved our inventory/warehouse management. Our previous software was not able to handle the number of transactions and inventory visibility that NetSuite has been able to so far.

A customizable platform for solving your eCommerice needs

What do you like best?

I enjoy Netsuite's image and file database. It's very easy to upload files and share them on the website and through email marketing campaigns.

The Netsuite platform is highly customizable. There are different levels of controls for different users. You are also able to change the view that your features show up in. This allows every user to set up the platform to their needs.

Email marketing campaigns are very easy to manage and setup.

What do you dislike?

Some of the more complicated and creative setups require extensive coding. For an inexperienced user, the backend can be a little difficult to navigate.

You may need some training or experimenting with the program before you get comfortable with altering the front end layout.

I also am not happy with their pricing. Every year they seem to raise prices (even on long-term users) and demand more in their contracts. I find it unfair and a little bit un-human that they won't honor their valued custoemrs.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Very robust platform. Just make sure you familiarize yourself with it. Negotiating a good price may be difficult.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Launching new products and keeping track of UPC codes for each product.

Netsuite also has the ability to keep track of inventory in real time. If a particular product becomes sold out, an automated "out of stock" message appears.

Great Cloud Based Tool for Customer Management

What do you like best?

It's cloud based, where you don't have to house and maintain your own servers. Convenience as it makes our data accessible to us anywhere there's an internet connection. There's a global search to search for almost any data that you need to find (contact, account, etc...) If the Global search doesn't bring up what you want, there is a search that is more robust that you can use to search for the data you're looking for as well as reports you can set up.

What do you dislike?

The limitation on the customization. There are areas that we would like to track, but the customization for this area that we would like to track and maintain is unavailable, we've had to find work arounds in order to accomplish our goals.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It's very convenient and helpful, the support is kind of lacking as whenever we call, there's a language barrier as the support is handled in India (or somewhere near there)

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're managing our customers and prospects. Everything from their information to what they're interested in and what they've purchased. Our previous system we had to use two different database systems for customer info and order info. Now it's one solution.

Netsuite is smart secure and fast on eCommerce with new technology SCA

What do you like best?

The SCA modules are purely programmed and efficiently named so as the editing is quick and the modules compilation won't take much time than just saving any file in the system. Further it is purely configurable and we can use custom records to dynamically manage the internal referred elements from the outside without even retouching or recompiling the code modules at all.

What do you dislike?

The help support online is not very sufficient for quick search - as we have to spend more time doing juggling with keyword to get any appropriate result. and further the help/proper documentation for the latest versions like Vinson/Mont Blanc are not readily available and resolving issues over the NS help n support also time consuming.

Recommendations to others considering the product

As for the traders - retailers etc. if they want single point management for almost everything and wants to unite their sales and support from various subsidiaries across the world they can surely go ahead for it while they must need to have some skilled manpower to manage and maintain the things and for development as per online user experience to improve sales etc. The one stop development is being supported by NS as they call you and try to resolve/assist where ever you feel you need help.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use to manage complete web-flow and internal scripting etc. the manage products details and online presentation for quick sales. Also manage SEO related issues for marketing and re-marketing of things. There is a lot more on NS as managing custom records using scripts JSON and suitelets etc.
