What do you like best?

Lab values are easy to trend, flowsheets make sense.

What do you dislike?

The documents tab is like a garbage pile. There are WAY TOO MANY documents available. They should be sorted and most of the entries should be in the flowsheets tab.

Also, the program tends to crash when looking at films. This is very annoying.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Open GE Pacs separately if you need to look at films - the radiology PACS viewer often crashes, especially on older computers. The computer also crashes sometimes if you have two separate modules for patient's ER chart and inpatient chart (i.e. ED and SCM). This is really annoying.

There are multiple ways to use trend and view lab reports, which is very helpful. You generally can see different reports/values from many hospitals/institutions within one system, which is also helpful. However, this feature only works if the administrators within your system correctly make sure your patient is only loaded ONCE - i.e. if they have different charts and MRNs from different hospitals you will have to open the charts separately.

Occasionally the software crashes while you are doing a complicated document, which is incredibly frustrating. Cut/paste into another program to make your life easier if this happens.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I work in a large healthcare system that is trying to integrate care among different service lines and hospitals.
