"A nice robust intelligence tool, though somewhat lacking in UX"

What do you like best?

Synthesio offers unlimited data within defined "use cases." The ability to do full market research is useful.

What do you dislike?

I find something left to be desired in terms of usability and user experience, an element with which their competition had a definite leg up.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Push the account executives to build dashboards for you. We saw a lot of stock dashboards at first which didn't exactly show a personalized look at our industry.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our trial at Synthesio has helped us look at total reach across channels, in a way that we aren't able to do natively.

"Reliable and Accurate Social Monitoring"

What do you like best?

With the new dashboard and user-friendly modules, the tool is easy to set up, use and optimize. The ability to update preferences and the interactive data charts make it a great tool for real-time listening, monitoring and reporting for clients. Support team is responsive and helpful with sudden needs or questions.

What do you dislike?

Pulling specific data from multiple social platforms would be ideal for a one-stop-monitoring-shop. This would include more personalized data from each of a client's specific social handles and how their activity has evolved.

Getting live training was extremely helpful when getting started with Synthesio. Support staff is extremely helpful with answering questions and making the tool easy to navigate.

Our team is able to provide in-depth recommendations for future brand building and awareness, for turning trends into further growth and for optimizing against competitors. This aids in our overall knowledge of the client, their social activity as well as reactions from consumers and how to shape our marketing strategies.

"Synthesio's social intelligence tool is helpful for measuring a brand's social image."

What do you like best?

Synthesio's social intelligence analysis tool is brilliant. With every project that measures my brand's social, Synthesio was there to help measure the data. Their employees were extremely helpful and I was able to successfully conquer projects at work, thanks to Synthesio! I had an overall positive experience with using their platform and their employees were always eager to help!

What do you dislike?

Being that I am always on the go, I am always doing work from my mobile device. I am in hopes of Synthesio increasing their mobile capabilities.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

While working in marketing, we are always looking for data to prove our online efforts. Synthesio helped my company look at the sentiment surrounding specific key terms. We wanted to measure how our clients react to our business efforts through sentiment analysis, demographics and competitive analysis. After we measure our KPIs, we want to know where we stand in terms of our competitors.

"Great for Monitoring, Takes Time to Get Used To"

What do you like best?

It is very easy to setup monitoring report emails.

What do you dislike?

Some of the items it can do seems a bit repetitive.

Use the customer support offered to you. They will setup your account and client monitoring profiles for you so it is much easier for you to get started and make simple adjustments for things only you/the client might know (i.e. tone of article, importance, etc.)

We use this program to assist with media monitoring for client and industry news. It also helps analyze trends (like spikes in coverage or Social Media mentions at a specific time), and create graphs for client reports.

"Amazing tool, easy to use, great insights"

What do you like best?

The tool is very easy adn intuitive to use with a very nice visualisation of data in charts and graphs. In addition you have always an option to either export ready to use image of a chart or a raw data for further manipullations in excel.

True discovery if you need a real time insights, crisis tracking or social monitoring. Great variety of media types being tracked increases the volume of mentions, and make probability of crawling every possible mention higher.

What do you dislike?

Current way system analyses the sentiment can be improved a little; also would be nice to have an option easily switch between work spaces to decrease the time for data extraction.

Adding an option to crawl data from a very specific media type on your own (e.g. one blog or forum or twitter account only).

Woudl be great to have an option to see directly in the tool for tweets some pure social metrics (retweets, favorites), to quickly understand performance of the post.

I would highly recommend the tool to the others: fast to learn, easy to use, great help from Synthesio if any questions, they are always ready to see if there are any possible solutions for your matter.

The need to understand what consumers adn potential customers are complaining the most about our products/services so we can improve them or excalate to responsible stakeholders.

Digging for social insights and audience insights in order to build a smart strategy for product launches and always on content, smart targetting for paid pushes. As well a key element for crisis management, and reporting, with potential intervention if needed from community manager.

Huge help for social monitoring when the purely social activation is launched (hashtag tracking, keywords + overall sentiment).

What do you like best?

Synthesio has flash reports that allows you to set-up reports for monitoring social intelligence for a short period of time. We find this useful for monitoring high volume conversations that need to be validated in a quick period of time.

What do you dislike?

We have a cap on the overall volume of mentions, which limits us. It's not a terrible thing as it forces us to drill down further into queries. I would like to be able to set the stage though for overall volume and then drill-down into the specific conversations.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you learn the custom reports and take advantage of the graphics and visuals. An API or export feature would be nice as we are always exporting reports for our clients and for requests.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are trying to solve for social listening strategic positioning. Teams that are not as embedded in the tool are very much into the visuals and graphs as they help to show what is possible within the tool. We get a lot of requests for monitoring the shifts in conversation within a topic or across brands and Sysomos is flexible enough to help us with that as a tool for querying topics.

"Both flexibility and power enough to push your social listening programme"

What do you like best?

The system's modularity allows for set-ups that speak directly to the needs of business users, and hides all else. A technical user can diagnose and deliver a social listening dashboard, and non-technical ones find it easy and intuitive to use. A single onboarding is all that's required, unlike many other systems, and most importantly, NOT at the expense of insights.

What do you dislike?

The system did run a little slow at scale; Synthesio has been rectifying that though, which is greatly appreciated. Filters are still not universal across all widgets/reports.

User management can be improved: it's a little tedious having to switch between accounts manually (which can occur if you're using multiple instances of Synthesio for different clients).

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely use the consulting hours with the Synthesio team; the setup was exponentially improved for one of my clients as the team make the effort to truly understand the business context and pushed us on what could be done with the platform.

Deriving type of conversations target audiences are having and the type of content these audiences are consuming (subject matter, format, platforms) to better inform creative and content strategies.

"Helping us manage Social Media Customer Service better."

What do you like best?

Synthesio provides us with a first line defense against potential risks to our brand, enabling us to highlight customer sentiment and react faster. The daily alerts are also really helpful for highlighting potential risks, these can be tailored to the individual requirements of the user, depending on the information that is most useful.

Also they are a great bunch of people, who are always happy to help.

What do you dislike?

The auto sentiment tagging is sometimes a little off, it can sometimes mistake a neutral or positive comment as negative however, this doesn't cause any real issues.

It can be a little difficult to navigate at times, but it may just take us some time to become comfortable locating all of the available data.

We currently use Conversocial for all reporting (response times, AHT, root cause analysis, volumes, etc), Sythesio currently doesn't offer this type of data but this may change in the future with the new partnership between Synthesio & Conversocial.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are very new to Synthesio but I have seen some real benefits already, I can see at a glance what customers are saying about a particular area of our business, this has really helped to identify pain points with the recent launch of a new brand.

"Flexible Product with Exemplary Customer Service"

What do you like best?

Flexibility: dashboards are easily customized to fit your measurement needs.

Query Development: The multiple topic structured approach to developing queries is a strong feature. AND (drum roll) the ability to preview query results when refining (especially for campaign queries!) is AWESOME.

Customer Service: The account team at Synthesio is responsive, friendly and very helpful at quickly addressing items that come up - shout out to Jordan for all the help!

What do you dislike?

One gap I'd like to see filled is including native platform engagements by mention included in the export and in the dashboard to identify top engaged content. But back to customer service, I've mentioned this to the Synthesio team and they indicated it is something they will work on.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Synthesio allows for monitoring multiple campaigns simultaneously and alignment with campaign objectives. Campaign analytics and specifically being able to measure earned reach generated is always a client priority. Other campaign measurement needs: measurement by topic and channel are also important.

"Reliable, user-friendly, efficient and essential to our reporting needs. "

What do you like best?

Synthesio is so easy to use. It doesn't take long to train a new team member and is very easy to see how it adds value. The support team respond quickly to queries and complaints and it's been invaluable in managing crisis situations and customer service issues.

What do you dislike?

Overall we are very pleased with the product. One issue we have come up across recently is around how quickly the feed updates with mentions. Working in a fast-paced industry like travel means we need data asap and we have found certain searches are slow. In fairness to the team, they are looking into this now for us.

If you're looking for a reliable and user-friendly tool then Synthesio covers all of those things. You'll also find a good support network who are on hand to help.

A key part for Monarch is managing customer services on social media. Unfortunately in the industry we work in things can change anytime, any day, from delays caused by weather to terrorism incidents. Synthesio allows us to report back to the business the impact these incidents has on our customers and our online reputation, as well as ensure we are addressing key problems quickly.

Extremely easy to use. Global footprint is important to us.

The API flexibility and easy reporting is also great. Also the client service team is critical to us and easy to work with. all in one solution to social analytics, campaign management. easy to uncover value driving insights from the tool. Tool is easy to use at every level within our company - from the associate to the C level. Works well across all platforms. I like the navigation, set up, and uncovering insights

industry standards around fb and linkedin. Don't like privacy policies which are very restrictive.

"Great platform, great insights"

What do you like best?

Provides great data for research on new business pitches, allowing in depth knowledge on the potential client’s online presence and the focus on social ROI helps provide information on how social media work ties back to business analytics, performance, etc. Synthesio’s client service managers and account managers have also made using the platform an easy process, as opposed to some competitors who just hand us their software and leave it to us to figure out how to use it.

What do you dislike?

The same limitations that apply to everyone: the websites that don’t allow themselves to be crawled. Overall, I’m very happy and don’t have any real complaints.

"Efficient and easy to use"

What do you like best?

Synthesio helps us dive into social data to get a better overall view of our company's online presence. Thanks to the platform we added business KPis like Share of Voice and Social Reputation Score. We have this available for any country worldwide.

What do you dislike?

Due to music market constraints a lot of campaigns are launched with a short setup timeframe. One improvement would be to have better access/results for a specific hashtag or keyword, without having to add it to the dashboard up front.

"One of the good ones"

What do you like best?

Robust global data sources which doesn't pick up too much spam. Other tools tend to inflate the quantity of social media mentions, however this tool makes handling mass data much easier.

Lots of widgets and filter options help you drill down into the data meaningfully. Lets you download and extract data.

Client and account management support is highly responsive and always on hand.

What do you dislike?

Tool can be a little clunky at times, and there are a few peculiar niggles (e.g. fussy about speech marks when writing boolean)

Requires a lot of forward planning in order to get complete twitter data (though this is the case with most tools!)

Great for customer insights - social listening provides a great resource to understand what people are really thinking and how to provide services that meet their needs.

The product is always adapting and improving to better serve the clients' needs. Additionally, I appreciate the accessibility to support and guidance on any timely task. There were many things that I loved about using Synthesio. Most importantly, their real-time alerts kept me updated about what was being talked about for my company and my competitors as well.

Synthesio's employees were extremely helpful whenever I had a question.

"Best in Class Social Listening Tool"

What do you like best?

I would highly recommend Synthesio for social listening and analytics. It has helped our team become more efficient in providing social monitoring for our clients and, more importantly, valuable insights in our reporting. Synthesio's strengths include an intuitive user interface, highly accurate data and excellent customer support.

What do you dislike?

Synthesio's weakness is owned channel analysis. While it does provide limited Facebook insights, Synthesio could improve by offering deeper analytics surrounding how brands' owned social channels are performing and which content is resonating best.

We use social listening to inform our client's marketing strategies. "I'm Obsessed With This Product"

What do you like best?

My favorite thing about Synthesio’s social intelligence platform is that it gives us a complete snapshot of online presence within the entire industry.

What do you dislike?

There was nothing that I did not like about Synthesio! This was the first program that I have used of this sort, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it was incredibly simple for a first time user!

"Lightweight and user-friendly footprint monitoring "

What do you like best?

Over the course of two years with Synthesio I came to value the sheer amount of time I saved conducting both my social media conversation monitoring and long-term social media trends with the same piece of software. The ability to easily customize and copy down charts of user demographics across social media platforms and specific topics made for attractive client reports that addressed client concerns without seeming overwhelming.

What do you dislike?

Social impact graphics for individual Twitter accounts were a bit simplistic, and there still exists no way to determine total percentages of followers who also share interests about other topics - useful for lateral marketing and discovering new avenues of approach for highlighting a product or client to an untapped base of social-savvy users.

Take advantage of online tutorials and seminars to get the most from the program.

Synthesio allowed me to provide clients with a quick-and-dirty first look at their digital footprint and the effect they were having on the social conversation - and whether they were even communicating with the right audiences. Though it lacks a bit in depth, Synthesio is fantastic for providing the fast take on where conversations are happening, who the most influential users are in a specific area, and how those users are geographically distributed around the world. It makes for much more efficient strategy planning when engaging in online marketing.

"As an intern with MasterCard digital marketing, I use it for social listening. "

What do you like best?

I like how simple the format is because it makes it very easy to use. I also appreciate how specifically you can filter the dashboards and save it without affecting anyone else viewing the dashboard, especially because we have each market using the platform. There is so much the platform has to offer, it's just a matter of sitting down and learning about all its services and providing specific enough information that will be most beneficial for not only our marketing department, but also the whole company.

What do you dislike?

I think there should be a better way to optimize the site that has less restrictions. As users, we have to provide very specific and thorough information (in the form of hashtags, keywords, sources, etc) to be able to receive valuable information from you guys. We only just learned that we have to include potential sources that would mention our project, otherwise we can't see their posts because their account isn't public. this limits us because there is no way for us to know every person who may say something related to our prroduct/brand/campaign. Though there are probably privacy restrictions, I think there should be a way to see all uses of a hashtag or keyword as you can directly on a platform like twitter.

Make sure to do thorough research when filling out the necessary intake form and go through training, where you should ask everything and anything. So far, everyone we've spoken to has been extremely helpful and willing to answer all questions which has been great because it's allowed us to learn so much about the platform that we had no idea existed.

Our team is using synthesio to improve our social listening and social presence. We hope to use it to move away from monologue and into conversations that address our consumers needs. Thus, we can solve many issues people have and are posting about on social media now that we can see them. this is a huge benefit as the use of social media to communicate not only with everyday people but also with brands has been increasing tremendously, so we can stay on top of the conversations and concerns related to MasterCard, and then address them appropriate;y.

"Insightful"

What do you like best?

The ability to tailor my search to specific content/location. I also love that it allows me to play with different widgets in order to get the best results possible. Aside from this, it helped me to count mentions of a hashtag throughout a campaign by consolidating all of it in one platform.

What do you dislike?

It can't pull in Facebook comments, but I realize that's a limitation Facebook places on Synthesio.

Really understand how the "build" portion of it works so that you can evaluate the source of the information and how to pull-in better numbers.

"A top tool for Crisis and issues monitoring"

What do you like best?

Global coverage, low latency, and extremely customizable.

What do you dislike?

As with all listening platforms, sentiment requires extensive tuning, especially for non-english query sets. A minor trade off, however.

They are very open to product roadmap suggestions, and have incorporated several of ours into 3.0. Providing ongoing feedback is critical to getting the most out of the tool.

We needed a crisis listening tool that we could set up extremely quickly and would be accessible to our entire agency. Using Synthesio, we have been able to not only have robust monitoring in place in less than 15 minutes, but we are also able to use the rich analytics to help clients anticipate and mitigate risk more effectively.

"Powerful social media analyzing system"

What do you like best?

Its ability to search the Social Networks and recover comments based on what you want to have feedback on and to sort them into categories you want, it has a great potential and can be done by yourself or with the help of Synthesio.

It is also user-friendly and has a very good and helpful support team.

There are also integrated graphs and if it is not enough you can extract the data to create your own reports.

What do you dislike?

You cannot implement yourself a focus on a/some specific website(s) in addition of your main query; this would be very helpful for dedicated forums for example. However, Synthesio can do it for you.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Very good tool to get large feedback from consumers, you can either ask Synthesio to build a campaign for you or you can make your own. If you want consumers’ feedback, you definitely need to consider it.

"Listening that moves as fast as the market"

What do you like best?

From the start, Synthesio is very simple to use whilst still providing maximum results. The search functionality is as thorough or as top line as you need which is fantastic for all levels of search. It's easy to get the information you need at a glance and the customisation options are fantastic.

What do you dislike?

There's no problem I have come across that the team haven't bee able to support or guide me through.

It's a key part of helping analyze conversations and audiences on social for brands - discovering pockets of conversation that may have gone unnoticed. This is helpful across many layers, from strategy, to customer service and even creative.

"Discovery of new types of datas and social listening "

What do you like best?

The thing I like the most in Synthesio is the way they present datas, with graphic or other ways that allow you to have a simple and synthetic view of all the datas you want to analyze.

As a beginner in social listening and e reputation, this platform helped me to understand and discover the environment of the company.

What do you dislike?

The mentions you have need to be cleaned : sentiments, mentions in which we are not concerned. You need to ajust the request.

We want to know how people talk about us on all topic : our products, partners, corporate ...

In order to increase our brand awareness, it's important to have datas on it to ajust our communication and the way we communicate, lijke our messages

In a other way, we want to present to our affiliates new tools and new ways to analyzed our awareness.

"Excellent Service, Stellar Product "

What do you like best?

Synthesio has a great client service and account management system, which has allowed an easy process when using the platform. Some other companies just hand us the software and give no direction, but Synthesio has clear lines of communication and direction.

What do you dislike?

I honestly don't have any real complaints about Synthesio.

We used Synthesio to learn more about social ROI and how it connects our social media efforts and business metrics.

"The Synthesio team has been accomodating, responsive and diligent about getting us the right results"

What do you like best?

I like how responsive and hands on the team members are, whether it be for ad hoc requests or long term line items, they always make sure to fulfill our needs as soon as they can.

What do you dislike?

The platform could use some work to make it as opitmal as possible, however, whenever we give a suggestion, the team is more than happy to accomodate.

We are trying to standardize the way we do marketing across our global organization and Synthesio is helping us to showcase the value in gaining insights and acting upon them.

"Easy to use and great insights!"

What do you like best?

Easy to use interface with great support and excellent resources. The blog is a great source of industry information and insights.The ability to do quick, high-level market research with FlashDash, and then set up a custom dashboard in a matter of minutes that can be shared across different teams.

What do you dislike?

Thus far I have no complaints. The tool is easy to use, delivers useful insights, and is backed up by great support from the Synthesio team.

Synthesio is a great tool for better understanding who your customers are, where they are, and what they want from your business. The Synthesio platform distills the social web into simple queries, manageable dashboards that can be shared between teams, and business-oriented metrics that deliver real insights.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We started out using Synthesio trying to identify social users that were speaking about our brand and/or engaging with our brand content. With the Influencers, Ecosystem, and Demographics widgets in particular, we’ve been able to build and export lists of our top influencers, and identify which channels and media types are driving the highest levels of engagement. Doing this has helped us boost our lead gen KPIs and drive higher conversion rates in the sales funnel.

"Synthesio's Social Intelligence"

What do you like best?

Synthesio’s Social Intelligence platform allows us to access a complete snapshot of our online presence, and that of the musicians we represent. This is crucial for our business as it is critical that we are able to help our clients better understand where they fit in their industry, plus it provides us with great data when we are pitching new business.

What do you dislike?

As with any social media tool, it is always difficult to secure internal buy-in from some of the senior executive leadership, however that is something that is changing with new developments in these platforms, like the ROI offerings.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Synthesio’s Social Intelligence to help us understand our clients, their industries and our new business leads. We have been amazed at how useful the data that we get is. It provides us a great snap shot of the landscape, as well as letting us know what people are looking for next.

"Using Synthesio as one of our main tools for reporting has helped be more efficient and effective."

What do you like best?

The ease of designing the template and more importantly the widgets available for analyzing your data in depth.

What do you dislike?

The set-up of the template in terms of populating sources and keywords is time consuming. More importantly I dislike the amount of time it takes the system to process changes when you have a large volume.

We are helping our clients be more aware of market perception about their brands, products and competition. By using Synthesio functionality we are able to share with them these conversations and provide them with recommendations that help inform their comms.

"A decent social listening tool"

What do you like best?

I like the ability to use complex filters to get at just the data that I want to see. I really like the ability to bulk change sentiment. I also like that the taxonomy limits are quite high.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that I can't put all of the widgets I want to view on one page. Some of the visualizations, while interesting are not insightful or intuitive. (i.e. Psychographics, Ecosystem). Most importantly, it does not link news and blog content with what is trending on social media.

This tool will not have the largest volume of data, but the quality of it is good.

Trying to determine brand sentiment across various regions and what is causing changes to brand perception.

"Very good and satisfactory"

What do you like best?

I like the availability and repsonsiveness of their team. I dinf the real time social listening very helpful, specfically when running a campaign.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that it's only extremely valuable for Twitter, and not for other platforms that provide our brand with ROI like Facebook & Instagram.

We're trying to solve problems such as missing on important trends on social media, data gathering and monitoring the conversation in our brand's existing social platform. Accurately measuring all data by our brand and comparing our social channels based on engagement. I've realized that Synthesio is helping us monitor the conversation, helps us by providing with measurable data for our campaign, help us block spam and diminish noise.

"Trialed API for a proof-of-concept project comparing sentiment to in-store mobile device popularity"

What do you like best?

There are a ton of "social sentiment" tools out there, but the vast majority seem to just offer simple natural-language processing capabilities, and want you to spoon feed them your data one tweet at a time in order to measure sentiment. Synthesio made the cut for our project because it goes several steps further and collects/interprets social data en mass, and offers a simple interface where I can say "this date, this topic, what were people saying?" and get some pre-cooked metrics quickly. This is the type of tool that is valuable for quick data analysis and hypothesis-testing.

What do you dislike?

My impression is that most emphasis from "the pitch" over several phone calls seemed to be on web interface and how it allowed manual exploration of data, which is fine if I'm a social media monitor, but as a developer and data scientist I need to be able to pull data down and run analysis against my own data sources. API access took a while but when we finally got it we had everything we needed.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are testing a hypothesis that social sentiment can potentially be used as a predictor for in-store popularity of smartphones and tablets across a handful of major carriers in the U.S. Benefits still TBD, as analysis isn't complete.

What do you like best?

My favorite aspect of Synthesio lies within its ability for intuitive interface navigation. From my early days as an analyst no other tool had the interactive dashboard I imagined in my mind. Synthesio's customizable dashes with drill down capability are particularly alluring. Also, the tools approach to keyword query and dash creation should be applauded.

What do you dislike?

My dislike for Synthesio stems from its query design. The tool pulls in a lot of noise ( though this can be curtailed with a manual search query). Segregation of dashboards can also be frustrating and disruptive to workflow. Unanticipated log outs from the tool are another pet peeve.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely give the tool a try. All seem to have their quirks but Synthesio is pretty solid from an analytics perspective.

I seek to gain strategic insights to improve campaigns by analyzing fan discussion. This can be hampered by much of the noise Synthesio pulls in but again can be remedied with several searches. I believe further refinement of queries is needed.

"Compared to other social media, active listening tools I like that Synthesio is easy to use. "

What do you like best?

I like that it is easy to filter data using Synthesio based on date, country and topic. One of my favourite components of Synthesio is the ability to open an exact Twitter post from a consumer, rather than just their Twitter page. This way I can avoid having to scroll through all their posts to get to the one I am looking for.

What do you dislike?

I have had several problems connecting to Synthesio using Chrome, however this could be a network problem. Otherwise, I have compared Synthesio to another social media, active listening tool and it is missing some data. After contacting a rep from Synthesio, I understand that these issues are currently being worked out.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Synthesio is a great tool that allows us to keep up to date with social media on a daily basis. I have realized that it is really beneficial to stay on top of consumer conversations and ensure we are answering any questions directed to MasterCard, even if we are not directly tagged.

"Perfect product for social media analytics"

What do you like best?

User friendly UI. Easy to build dashboards and human review tab allows you to remove irrelevant mentions and perform sentiment adjustments. Different widgets are available to perform sentiment analysis, trend analysis & products comparison.

What do you dislike?

Would be great if certain settings which are only available under Analyze section for widgets can be made available in build mode. The settings like default topic selection can be made available for all the widgets in build mode can save users time in selecting the topic each time dashboard is loaded.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using this product in asset management firm across different sectors. Currently evaluating how we can correlate social media analytics with companies revenues/income/stock prices etc.

"Synthesio Review - Agency on Global Client License"

What do you like best?

I like the breadth of information that Synthesio provides on a well set up campaign. Additionally, I feel that lots of useful insight can be gained from the various filters by topic. This allows us to take a dashboard from global to Europe to UK in a matter of clicks, and means we're able to easily provide key comparisons to other regions.

What do you dislike?

There are a LOT of various graphs that can be pulled - this is by no means a bad thing, however makes it slightly difficult at times to create a succint dashboard that allows you to view only what's required from a highlights package (and then drill down into further depth on following pages).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're able to see a significantly greater depth of information beyond what we receive from traditional analytics packages. The demographics, geotargeting heatmaps and breakdown by platform are particularly useful.

What do you like best?

The endless options and reporting abilities, which help you receive an easy overview of everything you need to know about how company is doing on social media.

What do you dislike?

Nothing in particular. I have not yet found anything substatial to dislike.

It might be one of the more expensive listening tools, but in my opinion it must be close to being best-in-class. Haven't tried anything as good as Synthesio.

"Great tool - Excellent Service"

What do you like best?

The updated look of Synthesio is really great. The ability to export to CSV or image files is also very handy for client reporting.

What do you dislike?

There are a lot of features in Synthesio so when you're on-boarding someone to the tool for the first time, it can appear cumbersome.

My clients rely on me for the ability to pull out important conversations and find out what people are saying/thinking about a particular topic and what, if any, business ramifications there are.

"Great "

What do you like best?

Easy-to-use interface for analyses. The flash dash is awesome - best when I need to pull quick data. The Dashboard is easy to read - aesthetically they did a great job with UI. The Synthesio team was also always very helpful when we had questions.

What do you dislike?

Fairly intricate Boolean query which works as a pro and con. You have a lot of power to do detailed queries with the Boolean function. The con could be that once everything's set up, pretty hard to go back and edit set up because Synthesio's dashboard-based.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Social listening tools like Synthesio's great when you need to dive into brand volume trend for earned mentions, sentiment analysis, topic anlaysis, influencer analysis etc.

"Great listening tool!"

What do you like best?

The Synthesio tool provides us with all of the information that we need to provide actionable insights for our Clients. The team is also very responsive to our questions and needs.

What do you dislike?

We are unable to get author handles within the tool to analyze key individual influencers within a specific category.

"Competitive intelligence for social medias"

What do you like best?

The new design of the platform and the new features as the automatic calculation of shares while the evolution of verbatims between few brands.

What do you dislike?

The application of global filter does not work on every widgets like "Influencers" or "Community". It is now impossible to have datas for the influencer widget with the filter Human reviewed AND unreviewed.

I compare social medias datas for PMU. I analyse every mention link to gambling and poker from every french operators.

"Great tool"

What do you like best?

I'm still training on how to best use the tool, but all the dashboards are great, they help us see what happen on the web regarding our brands.

What do you dislike?

I didn't have the occasion to see how to monitor in real time some events (real time info about an event, twitter hashtags tracking, etc), but I'm sure there is a way.

Seems helpfull in e-reputation management (butt will need more use time to be able to fully exploit it)
