"Does exactly what they say it would do, wirelessly connect to our screen"

What do you like best?

wirelessly connect to our projector

Previously we had to go out and buy every single type of adapter that we could think of. DP, MiniDP, Mini-HDMI, DVI, VGA and still worried that someone would have some sort of connection we had not heard of yet. Using Ubiq is so easy. Install the software on the PC we already had there, display connection information on the screen, connect, load a Chrome plug in and everything just works.

What do you dislike?

Really not much to dislike, but if I had to say something it would be a plug-in is needed at all. HTML5 of some sort would be nice, but to be honest I don't know if its possible and the plug-in is a very minor issue.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Do the trial. Very simple to use

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Trying to figure out what cables to have ready for the different guests who bring their own laptop. The cables run across the floor and over the table.

"Simply & effective solution"

What do you like best?

How quick and easy it is for users, whether part of our company, or visitors presenting in our boardroom, to take control of our Audio/Visual equipment

What do you dislike?

We've been relatively problem free. One visitor who wanted to type notes while visiting tried to use the option to show one program window, which was a remote session background app, which didn't work, but this is such an unusual scenario it doesn't concern me.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're after a cable free audio/visual solution for your meeting / presentation / conference spaces, without installing hydro-ports in tables, or running cables overhead or underfloor, look no further than Ubiq. Simple, easy & tidy.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're undergoing a change of premises, and have pushed really hard to have a cable-free environment (as much as possible). Ubiq's product really helps us achieve this in our meeting rooms.

"UBIQ Hive System"

What do you like best?

What I like about the Ubiq Hive is that it is so easy to use. We have Intel Nuc which is a small factor PC that houses the system. This allows us to have the system stay on 24/7, so whoever is presenting during the day can add the ext and share their screen. The entire process takes about 5 minutes.

What do you dislike?

Honestly. There's not much to say about dislikes. The only thing I can recommend is the latency of the software. Sometimes when using the software you can point to an object on your screen and it takes time to see the change on the T.V.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving many issues. Before in our meetings we would have to use an HDMI cord that is like 20 ft. long and this is an eye sore for some. Now people do not even realize that a small PC is allowing them to mirror their screen via wireless.

"Ubiq Hive"

What do you like best?

Does not require installing any special software other than Chrome or Firefox. It can be connected to two networks at the same time (corporate and guest) and used from either. Connecting and sharing your screen, or app is very fast. Multiple users can display on the same screen.

What do you dislike?

Although you can present an Internet Explorer window, you cannot connect with Interne Explorer which is our company standard browser.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We can connect and present wirelessly. The computer the Ubiq software runs on can be on a wireless network. We have a few TV's on stands with wheels that can be moved around. All we need is a power outlet and wireless coverage. Not Ethernet port nearby is required.

"Ubiq Implementation"

What do you like best?

Ubiq has been very easy to implement and use at our company. Any questions or concerns we've had have been answered quickly by their support.

What do you dislike?

There have not been any dislikes. We tested Ubiq out on a few different computers before purchasing a full version, and we have recently purchased another seat.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There are other options out there, but we have been very pleased with everything Ubiq has offered us.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We no longer have to constantly keep a pile of display converters to ensure we have the right type of connection for whoever brings a laptop in. Now we can simply direct them to Ubiq's site and they can get going in about a minute or so.

"Less legwork for support personnel "

What do you like best?

Aside from the obvious role as a wireless presentation solution, the product also adds a nice aesthetic platform in-between meetings. For single offices, we have the customized for the person. For Conference Rooms, we're using a branded background with the instructions.

What do you dislike?

Our users often wish that they could do "extended display. Personally, I wish that it offered an IOS solution.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Get extra licenses.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Personnel seem to like it, support doesn't require a visit to the conference room.

"VP and CIO"

What do you like best?

Ubiq is simple to use. It wirelessly connects you laptop to our TVs without the need to worry about cables or adaptors. We had a major EMR replacement project with hundreds of consultants who each had a different brand and/or model of machine. UBIQ eliminated any issues with our training and presentations.

What do you dislike?

Connectivity can be a little inconsistent. If outside people have certain security settings set up through their corporate cyber security it can block connectivity to the ubiq. I wish it supported video conferencing.

Recommendations to others considering the product

simple relatively inexpensive. Support is outstanding

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

No more need for cables or video adaptors. with 100+ people using the equipment from different companies this was pretty critical for us.

"UBIQ Hive - Overall good solution to wirelessly presenting"

What do you like best?

Almost completely eliminated the need for scrambling for cable adapters to conform to the visitor of the day that needs to connect; Compatible for both OS and Windows so any platform within a single meeting can take turns presenting to same media input;

What do you dislike?

There is some lag when moving the cursor or changing pages but most noticeable when using the wireless connection to the Hive. Also affects the lag in videos. Wired Ethernet connection to the Hive makes it almost a perfect solution; would like the ability to assign permissions to users to be able to manage their own hives in their facility. Although I can manage all 24 hives from a single dashboard which is nice I'd like a plant manager to be able to make his or her own changes with permissions assigned by us in IT.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely worth the trial. We're using 20 of them now and find them a very good solution to be able to sit down at a table and start presenting to a TV without routing cables

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Not only do we use these in conference rooms for local meetings and for visitors to use we also use them in training/break rooms. A slideshow with helpful in formation or safety videos play throughout the day

We currently use about 2 dozen Hives across our multiple sites.

"Ubiq makes wireless presentations delightful"

What do you like best?

The ease of use is the most outstanding feature of the Ubiq Hive. After plugging in the device to our TV and doing a 5 minute setup, all I had to do on my laptop is install the app and press connect. Everyone in the office that has used the Ubiq app, have been thoroughly impressed.

What do you dislike?

There's nothing to dislike. It just works.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The ease of use here is the real winner here. One thing I wanted to consider was the ability to use PowerPoint, which I've read is an issue with consumer grade products like Google's Chromecast.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were using a standard lcd projector in our conference room. There was a nest of wires everywhere. Now when we have our meetings, we can bring in our laptops, connect to the hive and present without the fuss of having the right video adapters for the projector.

"Started out a little rough, but now works beatifully"

What do you like best?

The latest version of the UBIQ hardware works great. We have been with UBIQ from the very start, and I have to say the earlier versions of the hardware and software were pretty rough. UBIQ support has always been great, and with every software release and every new hardware version the product just keeps getting better and better. They are going to have to work hard to improve on this latest release though.

What do you dislike?

I can't think of anything I dislike about the product - it works as advertised and works well.

Recommendations to others considering the product

You won't be disappointed - this is a great product that keeps getting better with every update

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Different laptops, different connectors (HDMI, DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, etc. etc. etc.). Keeping different cables, connectors, adapters (which sometimes worked, sometimes didn't) laying around a projector - what a mess and not very professional looking for customers. Now we just install the software on a laptop and it connects immediately, and we know it is going to work. Now I don't have to worry about people walking away with a cable or an adapter either!

"Very Easy to Use Cross Platform"

What do you like best?

Ubiq is a great addition to our conference room.. We have tired various other off the shelf solutions. They worked most of the time, but depending on if the use user was mac or windows dictated the connection method. Very confusing for the user and always required intervention from IT.

What do you dislike?

Nothing really, The solution fits us pretty well. My users are impressed with the ease.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Cross platform screen sharing. No matter the user's operation system, its quick and wireless.

"Goodbye Cables!!"

What do you like best?

Ease of use and the disappearance of cables! No more unsightly rat's nest in the meeting rooms and the portable version allows visitors to our organization to easily connect and present.

Ubiq also has some of the most dedicated support I have seen in a company.

What do you dislike?

No dislikes, really. A couple of small glitches, which were specific to our network, were dealt with quickly by the Ubiq team.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Getting rid of cables has made our meeting rooms a safer place to walk around and much nicer to look at. Switching presenters quickly throughout a room full of people has made meetings much more efficient as well.

"Ubiq"

What do you like best?

Overall the Ubiq is simple to use for most people.

What do you dislike?

I would space the connecting instructions through out the Ubiq home screen instead of bunching them up at the bottom.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Train several people in your office to use it. First time users seem to be nervous and do not always read the instructions fully.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Before I setting up the Ubiq it seemed IT was almost required to be present at any meeting that was going to use the projector because most of the users had issues with connecting through software or physical cables.

"Great Device"

What do you like best?

Ubiq's Hive makes it easy to connect to our TV wirelessly - something no other device in this price range can accomplish. It's great for presentations because you're not anchored to anything anymore.

What do you dislike?

Lack of an iOS or Android App (Although they are in the works) means I still need to use my Chromecast for some things. Furthermore, wifi connectivity isn't fantastic - it works, but presentations will be choppier. With an ethernet plugged in, it's great.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're looking for a wireless presentation solution, you can't go wrong with UBIQ. It works, it's easy, it's budget-friendly (compared to similar devices), and their team is great.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

No longer attached to our TV with a bunch of wires running to-and-from. Easier to keep my audience engaged by being able to move around.
