"Excellent Customization and Responsive Customer Service"

What do you like best?

We have a very special, custom product that can result in extremely complex configurations and therefore extremely complex logic in order to ensure accurate proposals. Not only does Endeavor provide a fast stable environment, but their ability to customize and streamline the quoting process to afford our salespeople more time to meet with customers face-to-face and sell!

Support is quick to respond and resolve as well as providing constructive suggestions to further improve our UX.

What do you dislike?

There is not much to dislike, the only thing that we've heard requested from our user group apply to some aesthetics changes.

There is some unique functionality that was lost when we upgraded to their newest version of our tool, but with all the other improvements, and knowing it is something that will be addressed with incremental upgrades as we move forward, it is something we can work around.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Endeavor will set realistic expectations regarding a timeline for completion. They will do everything in their power to provide the most stable, easy to use system within the allotted time frame. They provide status reports on a regular basis making sure you are always aware of what is completed, what is outstanding and how well you've managed the time and resources associated with implementing your custom solution.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a tool that allowed our salesmen to provide quotations to their customers as quickly as possible as well as capturing all the information regarding their quotation within our CRM, Salesforce. When we began the adoption process of our new CRM 5 years ago we were told that they could not support our need for such a customized tool using native salesforce capbilities. Endeavor CPQ was able to provide us with a solution quickly and provided a great deal of direct support to our user group during the initial rollout.

We've seen an decrease in the amount of time it takes to generate a quotation which means our salesmen have more time to focus on making a sale. The proposal generation is also top notch and provides an excellent experience to our potential customers and provides a clear, easily understood proposal, that increases our chances of making a sale.

"Making Our Lives Easier with Endeavor."

What do you like best?

The platform is so customizable. We have a lot of "special " situations with our estimating and the Endeavor CPQ system is always able to handle it.

What do you dislike?

I wouldn't say I "dislike" anything; the challenge we have faced is that we are Endeavor's first landscaping client so the learning curve (on both sides) has been what I would call a challenge.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to use InforCRM and Endeavor CPQ seamlessly and this has opened the door to streamlining our sales process across the board. The time savings for our Sales staff is immeasurable.

What do you like best?

The new CPQ9 platform from Endeavor Commerce offers a robust quoting platform capable of managing complex product variability and logic layering with user-friendliness and quick processing speed. The solution integrates seamlessly with our Salesforce.com CRM platform to offer consistent and professional customer proposals, as well as accurate product data on Sales Opportunities for forecasting.

What do you dislike?

We are a long-time partner of Endeavor, so we had to migrate from a previously employed solution to the new platform, which required some dedicated effort and time, but the Endeavor team worked cooperatively and constructively with us all along the way to help ensure a smooth upgrade release.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're in the market for a robust, yet easy-to-use CPQ tool that integrates well with various CRM platforms, this is a solid solution.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Although we offer a standard range of door product lines, there is high variability around available options for any given door configuration and its unique application and size, resulting in a "custom" sale every time a door is quoted. The Endeavor CPQ9 platform allows our Sales team to easily Configure, Price and Quote custom door solutions quickly with ease, and offers a consistent and professional proposal output that echoes the pillars of the Rytec Brand: Performance, Reliability and Durability.

"Clean, Powerful and easy to adapt to your environment"

What do you like best?

CPQ gives me the ability to customize our guided selling to fit the less technical nature of our sales team. I can customize it in so many different ways I sometimes lose track of all the things it can do. It allows me to control what our Sales Team can see, which in turn allows me to control what products are selected from the catalog.

What do you dislike?

I am not a big fan of being forced to use Silverlight in the admin console, and I wish that I had the ability to copy questions during the guided selling setup. I would also like to see it work with the newest browser offerings from Microsoft.

As always do your homework, but take the time to learn the nuances of the product. It is the little things that make this a fantastic platform.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We focus a great deal here on order entry errors. We need our Sales Support Team focusing on entering orders quickly and accurately. With CPQ and the guided selling trees, I am able to create a series of simple questions that our Sales Support Team answers and based on those answers, it will show or hide other options as they go through it. This was important to our company because it removes products that are not needed from view. By doing this, orders are easily repeatable and our order accuracy has increased greatly.

"Very Satisfied User"

What do you like best?

Through our partnership with EndeavorCPQ, we have significantly enhanced our quoting system. These enhancements include an improved process flow, the addition of reference content to better describe products and options, incorporating email notifications and improving our overall sales responsiveness.

What do you dislike?

Overall, we have been very satisfied. We have found EndeavorCPQ to be proactive in their development of features to enhance the user’s experience. They are actively looking for ways to enhance their products and have been very open to suggestions. In many cases, these suggestions have been incorporated into future releases.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Prior to implementing EndeavorCPQ, one of our biggest challenges was creating awareness of our stock machines as quotes were being generated. With a normal inventory level over $100 million, this was a big issue. Also, due to long lead times, most of our sales are generated from this inventory. EndeavorCPQ has allowed us to quickly and accurately present these products to our sales members. By simply selecting a specific machine, the sales member is presented with that machine’s complete specifications and from there; they can add options to customize the machine to the customer’s specific needs. By monitoring what machines/models are being quoting, we are able to adjust our incoming plans to maximize the effectiveness of our inventory dollars.

"Should be renamed EndeavorROI"

What do you like best?

The hardest part of configuration is the translation of business rules to programming execution. Endeavor has a rules engine that business people can use to author rules, is most cases those in charge of Product, Marketing & Sales. While CPQ is Configure Price Quote, we have successfully used the rules engine to create Marketing Calendars, which are highly configurable based upon Time of Year, Mix of Products, Promotions, Prices, Bundles, Advertising, PR, Social Marketing Mix. So many rules, so many choices, such a mess in creating a Marketing Promotional and Editorial calendar.

Not so with Endeavor, we are live and using this solution with the ability to edit the rules weekly!

What do you dislike?

Endeavor makes translating business rules into decision applications. The problem is still hard to execute but finally the software part is easy. NOTHING to dislike about Endeavor, love what they do!

Rules change, you need a rules engine that is EASY to use and administrate, Endeavor brings this capability to the business people the understand the rules versus the programmers the need to code them!

There is no better ROI is CRM than the speed to match exact customer needs & requirements to presentations, proposals, quotes and orders. Especially when you have a Go-to-Market though a channel this efficiency is paramount to success.

"Powerful quoting functionality with CPQ"

What do you like best?

There are several powerful features of CPQ provided by their catalog and guided selling tree models. Mistakes are a thing of the past and quoting an opportunity is just a few clicks away. With the advent of their cloud solution it is now possible to automatically connect to some of our suppliers on the back end allowing them to manage pricing and availability and we're really in a point and click mode.

This application is vital to our success and our entire sales force uses it every day. It has been a major contributor to our growth and our rate of generating opportunities with associated quoting increases constantly. Some of our projects are extremely complex and CPQ is the method we have used for a few years to scale that complexity back to a reasonable amount of work for a sales engineer. We're to the point now that we're even looking at tracking inventory with this application.

The design of the application is simple and intuitive. It takes several aspects of everyday web-based shopping and pulls from that design a framework that most people that use it grasp instantly. Our projects, the associated margins, the requisite options and accessories are all contained in one simple to use location. Quotes are just a click away.

If you're quoting complex (or even simple) solutions, do yourself a favor and look into this one. You won't regret it.

What do you dislike?

As a control freak, allowing some of my back end data to reside in Endeavors cloud has not always been my favorite idea. The trade off, though, is the power of connecting to our suppliers.

In addition to this, we have had some issues with respect to time. Some of our projects creep in terms of scope and application and from time to time we have brought substantial pain upon ourselves in an effort to make things better.

Give this software a moment of your time, imagine how it might impact your sales process, champion an installation at the highest level, and watch your sales grow.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The primary issue we have is a standardized quote that is traceable to the opportunity that created it. Streamlining this process in addition to providing a framework for eliminating mistakes were our primary goals.

I would say we're nearly 100% accurate these days and for the most part all inefficient processes have been replaced with CPQ. This is absolutely critical for us.

I believe that we have a total solution here that positively impacts every user that touches it or its data. Our sales force would be crippled if we took this from them at this juncture. Our management would be just as crippled as we use this data to run our business.

"Great features with huge opportunities for growth"

What do you like best?

I like that many of our catalogs are easily accessed and quick to sort through. We can go from nothing to a proposal in less that 10 minutes with accurate information. Also, It's very easy to customize

What do you dislike?

We have a heavily customized system with integrations to other CPQ instances which sometimes has some issues with integration. The saving should happen in the background as you don't want to be interrupted every time you select something (Ipop).

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving an issue with our sales people not knowing 100% that they have the correct price. With CPQ we ensure that the price they see is the price they are selling. Our benefits has been a reduction in margin erosion and speed at which our quotes are completed.

"Use for product building and quoting"

What do you like best?

Endeavor works! I like how reliable and straight-forward the website is and that I can trust the results of the configurations to be exactly right.

What do you dislike?

Working on the back end, there it is difficult to roll out incremental updates.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

My primary use of Endeavor has been for developing quotes internally. Having the centralized location for all of our offerings helps with developing pricing for complex assemblies.

"CPQ is helping us automate our quoting process and capture critical information needed downstream."

What do you like best?

The rules engine is very comprehensive. Our products have tons of different possible configurations based on options that relate to one another in different ways. The ability to filter options, automate calculations for different scenarios, and to give the quoter feedback as to what options may be required is going to be a huge help for our current manual quoting process.

What do you dislike?

I wish there was a bit more operator manual type information available on how to operate the Admin Console. There's a lot there to learn and knowing more upfront is definitely helpful. I know this has been worked on recently and the team at Endeavor has done an awesome job of training me to date.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We started from scratch, so it was a big undertaking for us. Now that we have it up and running, we're very excited about the opportunities that it opens up for us. We're now working on integrating to our CRM.

Don't underestimate the task required of getting it off the ground. Make sure that the rule writers have more training earlier in the process. More knowledge earlier will make more robust rules and a more productive rule writing process. As our knowledge grew with administrating the tool, we were able to do more and more neat things.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Previously we were managing our pricing on word document templates for each piece of equipment. These word documents included a long list of options that "could" be included when quoting the piece, but quoting a piece of equipment correctly took a large amount of product knowledge. The vast amounts of products that we have made cramming all of that product knowledge into a quoter almost impossible. Now anyone can quote. Furthermore when they quote, we're collecting much needed information to leverage in our downstream systems.

"Endeavor CPQ Flexible and Robust"

What do you like best?

I love the flexibility of the product. We have been working with Endeavor for several years now and they are constantly making improvements to their product. Their client service team has been outstanding by being not only responsive, but also very adept at listening to our issues and proposing/designing appropriate solutions. As an example of the flexibility, we have been prototyping with the client services team the ability to fill out categories and products within catalogs dynamically with queries. This eliminates our having to manually change a catalog any time a product changes. This is huge for any company like ours where products are introduced at a rapid pace. Another thing I particularly like is that the client services team does not just handle an issue and leave. They take the time to teach us how to handle the particular issue in the future. They have taught us so much so that we could go forward on our own.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that the administration console is written in Silverlight. The only reason this is an issue is that it will not work with some new browser versions like Edge. I suspect though that this will be rectified soon given the speed at which Endeavor enhances their product.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are trying to reduce our quote entry time and error rate. We have realized significant savings in both areas by reducing the complexities by reducing the number of products and options available and by designing rules to handle choices based on configurations not to mention calculations for quantities. Depending on the type of quote being generated we have given the quote entry people the ability to answer perhaps 5 questions and the rules handle the rest. All that is required after that is a review of the products and quantities. So much better than wading through 100+ parts and remembering which ones are available as combinations.

"Intuitive yet powerful guided selling configurator"

What do you like best?

That is program is more than a configurator. It has guided selling that helps us simplify the selection process to our customers. The interface of this program is amazing. It's easy to use and setup. I would highly recommend demoing this product before making a final decision on any CPQ project. It has the ability to export and import data so uploading and download tons of data is a breeze. The other great feature is that it has the ability to setup queries and those in turn allow you to add product or remove product without changing rules or code rewriting. Out of the 14 CPQ programs that we reviewed this one came out on top.

What do you dislike?

Right now I can attach part drawings through image files, but it would be nice to be able to attach PDF or CAD drawings to parts.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are simplifying the selection and pricing process for our customers. This will make our product more appealing and also reduce internal sales time quoting configure to order products.

What do you like best?

Flexibility, Integration with popular CRM solutions, Mobile. Working with the Endeavor Team and willingness to get us to our goal.

What do you dislike?

Sometime the updates of features or versions seem buggy. It would be nice to roll out to a test environment. Reporting could be better. (SSRS?)

What do you like best?

The ease of use is what I like the most. With the addition of this to our CRM, the quotation process has gotten very fast which allows more time to make sales calls.

What do you dislike?

I really wish our setup had even more menu driven drop downs. Also, when doing write-in products, it would be nice if there was a way to past all information in one click versus typing each field in manually or cut and paste each field one at a time.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Inputting quotes into our system faster. I am now able to do a normal quote in about 10 minutes versus 1 hour before.

"Used to identify price of motors/pumps in our product line"

What do you like best?

The radio buttons in the selection process make it fairly easy to select the application

What do you dislike?

For some reason, when the sections are made and the result is displayed at the bottom, you are not supposed to select the radio button for the item and should (according to the note) select the NEXT arrow at the top of the page. If you do accidentally select the radio button, the NEXT arrow does not work properly and will not fix itself even if the radio button is unselected.

This software helps us select which pump fits our application and displays the cost of the product.

"Implementation of Quoting Tool"

What do you like best?

The user interface is simple and easy to use. There are many configuration parameter that are configured through the configuration interface without customization.

What do you dislike?

There are not much to dislike the product since it has many of the feature and functionality out of the box where other would required customization.

What do you like best?

The functionality of the product for our business needs have far exceeded our expectations. The development process is well thought out and implemented on a professional level on par with that of any top firm.

What do you like best?

I like the functionality of the program and the flexibility to estimate products and services specific to our company.

The initial setup has been time consuming and there have been some challenges during the synchronization with our CRM system.

CPQ seems to flow like many other modern systems which helped me intuitively adapt to it even though it was a new system.

Bugs associated with changeovers can be troublesome. Sometimes they only pop up after updates.

Integration with Salesforce. Ability to create complex rules

Having to use HTML for descriptions. Not being able to refresh Dev site quickly
