"Everything you need to manage your volunteers"

What do you like best?

It's flexible and convenient for volunteers (end Users) to use. As well, all of my volunteer opportunities from different organizations are accessible in one place. Helps me keep my schedule up to date and keep track of monthly hours.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes navigation can be a little bit confusing. I am not sure reports are entirely accurate, if hours are not logged in the month they took place they show up in the month they were added. Someitmes it shows that a shift is available then I click on it and see that it is filled already.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you have a lot of volunteers or are a large organization, it seems to be the industry standard. This benefits the volunteer because if other non-profits who utilize volunteers are using it, the volunteer can access all their opportunities and scheduling in one place. It's very easy to use and doesn't take long to learn.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's great for signing up for shifts. It's easy to see where help is needed. Then we have full coverage for activities where volunteers are needed.

"Best Volunteer Database System"

What do you like best?

I've used lots of volunteer database systems in the past, and this is by-far the best! It's highly customizable, creates functional web-based versions of applications and volunteer opportunity postings, and creates great reports. They also have really great costumer service. This has been an invaluable resource for us.

What do you dislike?

So far, I don't have any complaints about this software.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We've drastically cut down on the time it takes to track volunteer data, including volunteer hours, by using the volunteer timeclock function. One of the best features is the ability to collect quantitative and qualitative data from your volunteers during each one of their volunteer sessions, which helps us track different outcomes across a wide array of programming and locations.

"Fantastic volunteer management strategy! "

What do you like best?

Better Impact for volunteer impact is a one stop shop. You can track everything about a volunteer, their hours, communicate with them, give them documents, anything! It's a great system for a great price.

What do you dislike?

There are some limitations to the program if your current volunteer department is complex. It can be hard to take a complex program structure and virtualize it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're looking to capture data from your volunteer program overtime and want a one-stop shop, try Better Impact. It's a great way to ask volunteers to take on more ownership of their experience.

We are giving all staff access to basic volunteer information and volunteer hours.

"Volunteer Impact"

What do you like best?

This system is great because it helps you put all your volunteers in one place. You can have them log hours, report their work, send emails,etc without tou bugging them consistently.

What do you dislike?

It has alot of wonderful features but it needs a forum where tou can talk with a volunteer online and it needs to be more streamlined in how to get to an activity.

We are able to record hours and not duplicate that count, we have seen that people like the software after the inital log in time which has been somewhat of a problem for the older generation but they like how user friendly it is

"Best Non Profit Scheduler"

What do you like best?

The customizable interface is very user friendly

What do you dislike?

There is a fee to have BI import contacts

Recommendations to others considering the product

BI is loaded with many features and quite customizable, however it is lacking in its intuitiveness and can be overwhelming to new users. Patient and repeated usage will overcome the initial shock setting up the program.

Effective online non-profit volunteer scheduling has almost eliminated manual telephone outreach for scheduling and eliminated double bookings

"Good volunteer software for small nonprofits"

What do you like best?

I like that I get notifications on my work email whenever someone applies. I like being able to customize the look and feel of the volunteer view.

What do you dislike?

I feel like the sign up for opportunities page is a little tough to navigate.

Look in to the other options that they offer! They have other management software that you can tie in, not just the volunteer side of things.

It is easy to have volunteers log hours - whether they RSVP for a specific event or not. It is better than the last software we used.

"Great way to manage the impact "

What do you like best?

Volunteer impact is a great tool to manage the volunteers and the and helps to see things at glance such as schedules etc. Allows creating personalized profiles.

What do you dislike?

The user interface needs an overhaul and there is need to be better support regarding training such as videos etc.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure the administrator knows in and out information about the software and training need to be provided to the employees in clear ways early on.

Managing the volunteers and making the scheduling easy and tracking and reporting on hours.

"Volunteer Impact - a must have software for any organization serious about volunteering"

What do you like best?

Complete volunteer management functionality at a more than reasonable price.

What do you dislike?

You need to dramatically improve your marketing efforts in the corporate segment in British Columbia.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Every single Health Authority in BC should be considering using Volunteer Impact for managing their volunteer base. The cost of acquiring this software will be amortized in the first month of use.

"An effective tool"

What do you like best?

The software allows for more effective volunteer recruitment and allows me to better run my network

What do you dislike?

Difficulty with the scheduling app at some points.
