"Its a handy tool for water distribution network planning"

What do you like best?

It's a very easy to use software for planning, designing, and operating water distribution networks. I like the fact that there are lots of online tutorials available to guide any beginner level designer. Further with their cloud based subscription, one can easily choose the licensing system that works well for the nature of the job. One can even choose to buy this either as standalone software or as part of another software such as GIS. Provides me easy options to compare multiple scenarios and aid decision making in real-time.

What do you dislike?

It is a heavy software and does sometime crash or take a lot of time to process if there are many operations running. The simulations may sometime take a lot of time but it is still pretty reasonable and i would recommend it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I recommend it to try it out first. Watch the instructional videos accompanying it or take a 3 day refresher course provided by Bentley to become aware of the possible uses of WaterCAD

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are helping the utilities plan out their distribution system needs using waterCAD. It is super easy to use and allows us to run different simulations simultaneously making it eaiser for us to do cost-benefit analysis.

What do you like best?

This software serves as a tool to give reliable and decision-making results about infrastructure. It can be operated in two different platforms, whether it stands alone or within another software, there is no problem. It also allows me to simulate a lot of different events and visualize the aftermath of an event, giving me results closer to realistic cases.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing I don’t like so far with this software.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would recommend this for people who are looking for thorough results about how to manage a scenario; it is a great tool to study what-if scenarios.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It helps me to perform interface and graphical editing, building modeling, data connection and analysis, as well as analysis on energy cost.

"Extremely Efficient"

What do you like best?

The product flows very nice and has very helpful tools for doing my job.

What do you dislike?

It crashes sometimes at very annoying times. It usually has an auto save feature that is up to the second it crashed so i do not lose work very often.

The product is great but it was very helpful to have been taught how to use the program in a hands on environment.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am detailing rebar for shop drawings. The program has allowed the transition from drawing to production to be seamless.
