Easy and intuitive for Comp Admins and Reps

What do you like best?

Xactly can update daily and give our reps instant access to their updated sales and commissions every day. The user interface is clean and easy to use for both admins and representatives. The contast upgrades implemented through out the year keep Xactly on the top of the game and addressing additional needs and requirements. Requires little day to day management once the plans and formulas are set up. Xactly has even been able to meet some of our tough challenges in our plan adminstration with no issues. Their whole support team from launch to continuing support is responsive.

What do you dislike?

Analytics seems heavy and over burndened when using too many different field types. Requires dedicated time to manage and build reporting on the fly.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely give Xactly a shot. They have been able to meet our most challenging needs with a quick turn around. Any further support tickets are answered very quickly and addressed. Reps respond to the product due to the fast update and easy of use. It gives them control of their full business from sale to commission.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Almost real time updates for our field to help solve problems or issues with calculations or crediting. Disputes and inquires have dropped dramatically and we can resolve in a more timely fashion.

Xactly - very dependable and accurate

What do you like best?

Easy to work with, very dependable and very accurate. We have changed plans every years and I have gone through 5 different plan years each different from the last. I have never run into any road blocks with Xactly. If you can do the math and get the data Xactly can handle it.

We currently feed data into Xactly for two different sources and have about 10 different plans in a given year. Xactly has handled this with ease.

What do you dislike?

At one time reports were difficult to build and update as the plans changed. However many new changes to the product have made building reports with Analytics much easier.

Make sure you have the correct support contract to fit your business needs. Xactly offers different levels of support and you may run into some issue if you are on the lower tiers

Set up can be long, but worth the time and effort.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Always looking for way to accurately pay and motivate our sales staff. Xactly has been a great tool in allowing easy access to quota, quota attainment, revenue and other information for the sales staff.

Xactly allows our sales staff to easily see their goals, attainment and sales details. The sales team no longer spends hours with tracking their sales in spreadsheets. This has allowed them more time to create new sales.

Xactly Incent

What do you like best?

Incent streamlines the monthly compensation process. It does the heavy lifting for you and all you need to do is verify it is calculating correctly. It allows you to create new plans and test them to pay your Sales department however you would like.

What do you dislike?

I think that Incent could be more user friendly. In order to set up a plan or make a change there are many items that need to be changed. If one of those items is not correct the whole plan wouldn't work. In order to get assistance you have to contact their Support team which is slow to reply. The Support team also has zero knowledge of your Incent setup so their solutions aren't quick or helpful many times.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This product is good for streamlining your monthly sales compensation process. However, it has a high learning curve and the classes to learn how to use this product are very intrusive of your time. Most classes last 4 hours on back to back days, hard to carve out time for that. I have yet to see a recorded webinar that I could watch on my own time. This would be a nice addition.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Giving our Sales team access to their sales numbers with a daily update. They can see the detail behind those sales and what they will get paid. This provides visibility for the Sales team that they enjoy. Reports can also be created to give the Sales team quick detail behind their numbers.

Sales Comp - Easy, Intuitive and Transparent for Admins and Users

What do you like best?

Xactly is pretty easy to use and is a reliable source for sales reps as well as for reporting of results.

I like that sales reps can see all of their data and commissions in once place

Not using Excel

What do you dislike?

The timing of analytics reports is a disadvantage. Sometimes you need to pull information immediately and the report is not ready. Analytics is a little cumbersome and not very intuitive to use. A little more flexibility could be added for customization of PODS and reports.

Forecasting of commissions for accruals is difficult and modeling product is difficult to use

Support can sometimes be more helpful.

Correct support is needed to fit your business needs. Xactly offers different levels of support and you may run into some issue if you are on the lowest tier. The support staff is normally very knowledgeable, however we have had issues where support is across the world and in totally different time zones making it difficult to resolve issues. Soemtimes find it difficult, especially the Delta support (response time is very lagging)

Recommendations to others considering the product

Try and be as involved as possible when going trhough implementation and plan design. If you don't know how the consultant has written your plan rules, it may take some time to get up to speed and troubleshoot issues.

Less questions from sales reps. Visibility into commissions earned and cost of sales.

Sales reps now can see what their commissions are and when they've been paid. It's great. Another problem we are solving is faster more efficient reporting for sales management, and also providing sales leadership with better dashboards and sales team performance. This is helping us narrow down on how and what we need to do to improve our sales teams performance.

Flexible, Powerful and Scaleable Compensation Tool

What do you like best?

We were formerly on Xactly Incent Express and some of our main reasons for switching included the ability to do prior period adjustments, ease of setting up draws and versioning of people records. All of these (plus many more features) were met, which we are really happy about and compensation management has been much better since going live this year! We have now closed our first year on Incent, and the visibility our users have into their performance for this year vs. prior years is truly something else.

What do you dislike?

Express was more flexible in some respects, like additional quota/commission adjustments, which are not as easy to do in Incent....as such, we have some fringe scenarios which we are not able to accommodate, which is a tough sell to Sales Management (who is used to being pretty lenient in terms of granting additional quota retirement and extra commission payouts). Also, we generally understand why the system is architectured the way it is, but sometimes it takes way too many clicks and different screens/components to get something done!

Recommendations to others considering the product

Generally recommended - our implementation took a very long time, but the end product was well worth the work and should suit us for many years to come. There are not too many other established players in the market, so Xactly Incent Enterprise was kind of the default, but it is a very good, powerful and flexible product that can support large and growing organizations as they scale into the future.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Scales much better than Xactly Incent Express, as we now have about 150 users in Xactly Incent Enterprise. Express was becoming very difficult to manage and building out our plans and roles in Enterprise is a much more scaleable option and should be very useful for our organization as we grow into the future. Additionally, for FY18, we will also be purchasing Objectives and managing certain plans in there.

Comp Administration made easy by Xactly

What do you like best?

Xactly is a user friendly tool that really helps manage processing and reporting commissions. Incent is only one aspect of this tool, which is the key part. You can easily manage indivudial team member data, quotas, TI and revenue individually or in a batch. The processing time is overall pretty fast compared to other applications out there. The UI is great and constantly changing to accomodate additional needs, requirements and enhancements; although those changes are not so drastic and often benefitial and enables the user to be more efficient.

What do you dislike?

The only thing I dislike is when having to make drastic mid-year plan changes, where rules and formulas also need to change. This can sometimes become a little frustrating, but Xactly support is always available and quick to lend a helping hand.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Xactly is a great tool and beneficial to both the admins and end users (sales reps & managers). Implementation can be lenghty, but is well worth it. If ever you run into a problem, they have an incredible support team that is always more than willing to help make iit right or help you understand what's needed to fix the issue.

Using Incent frees up a lot of extra time to handle other responsibilites.
