"Zedo Review"

What do you like best?

I like using Zedo because there is a wide variety and inventory of ad types to choose from. It also offers one platform for management of remnant demand partners. The post-campaign reporting is also outstanding.

What do you dislike?

A lot of work is outsourced to India which can be tough for many reasons and their is a major lack of support with products.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I worked as direct support to our marketing solutions, assisting team members in various advertising projects. I work a lot with our digital operations team in helping them with ad operations/campaign management. Zedo is great for outsourcing our ad ops and has really cut down our overhead. It also has increased our revenue by offering additional services we can provide to our clients.

"Clunky platform, bad looking ads"

What do you like best?

The results from ad campaigns delivered through zedo are encouraging - we used the 160x600 sliding skyscraper which delivered good KPI metrics such as InView % and CTR

What do you dislike?

The platform was difficult to navigate - too many menus, too many reporting options

Negative user comments of ads 'popping out' / 'taking over' the browser

the customer service was poor at times, and not very understanding of our specific site and issues.

The ad unit appears in a wrapper, which is not the most appealing visually

Not being able to run one campaign with multiple ad units in the zedo platform, without needing to assign an impressions goal to each ad unit (not ideal if a campaign runs multiple creative swaps)

Recommendations to others considering the product

Look for alternatives, there may be some out there. Personally I feel the consumer is tired of ad units that pop out, popunder, scroll into the screen. You may see good View Rates and CTR but at the cost of negative user feedback

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Providing a sliding skyscraper ad unit which would run on pages within our native websites - The ad product provided a good in view % rate and provides a good CTR.

"Tested this ad server when going with new ad server in company"

What do you like best?

They have a lot of features-- and I mean a ton. Basically anything you could think of having in an ad server, they probably already have it. This is good and different from other ad servers.

What do you dislike?

Like I stated in my pros, having so many features and functionality actually ended up seeming a bit like a negative at the same time. There were so many features to use that would show up on the page, that it actually seemed a bit confusing sometimes.

Recommendations to others considering the product

See how much you can make your views customizable. Since they have so much to offer, it's probably easier to take away a few things that are not necessary for your company.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

In the end, we didn't go with Zedo but a different ad server but I'm pretty sure it was due to a different reason and none stated in this review. Just some politics at work that wasn't shared with me.

"Great CTR"

What do you like best?

I like that when we work directly with Zedo, they are super responsive and quick to turn around any changes we may need.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes i wish they had a self-serve platform for RTB.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you check campaign performance on a daily basis. If they aren't hitting your goal needs, shoot them a quick email and things typically turn around within 1 or 2 business days.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

They get us great CTR. Viewability is pretty good also.

"Zedo as 3rd Party Vendor"

What do you like best?

The ad products we used from them functioned very consistently.

US ad support was good.

What do you dislike?

Lots of work is outsourced to India.

Support for products from India was minimal.

Unable to troubleshoot simple issues that arose.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you have an ad product that never changes they are a good choice, if you need variety they are a tougher sell.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Online Ad Products that weren't developed in house.
