"Microsoft Project"

What do you like best?

MS Project integrates with most other MS Office products very well. It is great to be able to quickly create a review session for the current project with Skype for business. I also like that the product is very mature and support is available whenever we need it. This reliability assures us that we will never be stuck on an issue for too long.

What do you dislike?

MS Project seems to load slowly on our machines. Not Sure if this is a drawback of the software or specific to our situation. I would like to see Project add the ability to work on a project simultaneously with one or more coworkers, as many of our changes are made on the fly while on a conference call or WebEx. I would also like the ability to integrate Project status updates and date changes into Outlook.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are planning on using this product regularly, see if you can company has training classes available , or watch videos on YouTube to learn the basics, as the learning curve can be steep for some. Altogether, MS Project is a reliable, robust solution to a company looking for a time, resource, and schedule management platform.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using MS office to develop project timelines to submit to our customers. MS office allows us to quickly change things and export it in a format the customer recognizes and that their OS can handle.
