"Tableau - Great Visualization Tool for merger large data sets"

What do you like best?

Tableau works best with its consuming large amounts of data in order to report of different segments and filters and sharing different dashboards on Tableau Server . Its excel on steroids, which allows you to create an interactive dashboard. Easy to merge differnet data sets with SQL and create useful visualization/analysis. Tableau's simple, clean, drag-and-drop interface is perfect for seeing trends.

What do you dislike?

Tableau can take a beginner time to create visually pretty dashboard and there are more elements and tricks you have to utilize in creating a report easy to consume. Tableau is also freeze or slow down for large amounts of time with consuming too many data set.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Consider removing the personalizing dashboards without Tableau logo and exporting reports to excel. Review the API integration with the existing data sources to ensure it fits your needs otherwise your will be using excel alot.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The ability to report on real time data from different data sources would be useful including exporting data outside of Tableau. Tableau is good when in comes to cleaning data and reporting visually appealing reporting.
